Happy extended Christmas vacay!!

Dear LTT-ers,

So we’re all still recovering from the holidays, I’m spending time with a sick family member and UC is digging her way out of a snowstorm/blizzard whatever you east coasters call them, I don’t know. So we will be in and out this week posting here and there but wanted to give you a heads up and leave some discussion tidbits from the twidom to ponder….

  • Stephenie Meyer celebrated her 21st birthday (you’re welcome) on Christmas Eve by either listening to every Muse album front to back or ordering Pancho to give her a hand massage. Or both.

So when does it stop becoming an “outtake” and we all just acknowledge this dude has maybe 4 bad pictures to his name? The jerk.

Hope your Christmas was fan-damn-tabulous and you’re enjoying the down time with family and friends… we’ll be coming back atcha with some end of the year stuff this week and of course we’re on it if anything late breaking happens (Taylor grows a couple inches).

Happy Monday!
Themoonisdown

Sooooo discuss… any fantbulous Christmas stories or deals you got the day after to share?

Sue Clearwater definately decorated Charlie’s house for Christmas, you know he didn’t do anything that ambitious himself. Also, why four Christmas stockings? Charlie, Bella, Edward and Renameme? Please tell me this means we get to see Eddie pull chapstick, candycanes and new underwear out of a Christmas stocking.
That “outtake” with the flowers is one of my favorite pictures of Rob ever. He just looks like a sweet, happy, 20-something guy. Brooding’s hot in pictures, but this is the kind of guy you actually want to go out with. Look how cute that smile is!

    • Anonymous

I too was wondering about the stockings! Maybe Charlie was hoping his little buddy Jake would come visit Christmas morning? Cause we all know Renee and Phil will not be making a trip to Forks!

    • Stacey

It must be from that Christmas visit in Breaking Dawn with Bella, Edward and Rese…you know who bringing the holiday cheer to Charlie. The one where Bella pretends that human food doesn’t gross her out.

    • TeamSeth

I don’t know… remember in NM he dragged that tree in through the snow! And I would think the stockings would be for those 4… the little one for Renesmee.

My very best to your sick family member, Moon, and Merry, Merry Post-Christmas to everyone!

p.s. I commented a day or two ago about what I got for Christmas that was Twi-related, but since I doubt very many people were reading comments by the time I posted, I’m cutting and pasting here. Because I’m just sure you are all going to be endlessly fascinated by my re-post. Right…

    ********************

Just have to share…my husband got me some redonkulous Robert Pattinson 2010 “yearbook” weirdness obviously intended for thirteen-year-old girls, complete with a quiz to decide which Cullen you are best matched with, an “exclusive!” bedroom calendar poster and a few pages at the end so I can put together my very own Rob scrapbook with my fave pics from magazines!! Oh, yay!!!

I mean, holy crap. I literally threw it across the room when I peeled back enough of the wrapping paper to see what it was. Everyone in the family got a good laugh at my expense, echoing the hilarity of last year when my sister got me an Edward fleece blanket for Christmas, just to mock me.

The thing is completely ridiculous. Anyone want it? I’ll send it C.O.D.!

And yes, my husband is just joking. He would also never spend good money on this sort of thing, so he left the $2.99 price tag on to make sure I knew it was el cheapo. (I’m sure they still have them at Ocean State Job Lot, for those of you on the east coast…apparently not a big seller, or maybe they just have to make room for the 2011 yearbooks already…)

    • Anonymous

Soooooooo….. Which Cullen ARE you best matched with??????

      • Anonymous

Believe it or not, I didn’t even take the quiz. I was too obsessed with my fantastic new cookbook (the 1,000 best recipes from Cook’s Illustrated – AWESOME BOOK for any of you cooks out there) to read the Rpattz Yearbook too thoroughly.

My new cookbook does have a lot of great Italiano recipes, though, so I’m looking forward to that. Cooking Italiano, I mean. You know. :)

        • Stacey

I love Cook’s Illustrated! I didn’t get that or the Rpattz Yearbook, but I did get US Weekly’s Special Glee Edition. There’s posters…I don’t think my husband would approve of Finn, Puck and Mr. Shue hanging up in our bedroom. He did buy it for me though!

          • Anonymous

Get the book!!! It’s so great!!

          • Anonymous

Let me clarify – get the COOKBOOK – not the “yearbook.”

          • TeamSeth

I started to comment on your original posting of that comment that you should hang up the posters in the baby-on-its-way’s room/sleeping area, maybe make a little mobile out of them. Then lavishly thank the hubs for the yearbook and how you can raise the wee one ‘the right way’ from the get go ;) Then I didn’t make that comment because distraction of vampire diaries season 1 set in and I lost my train of thought. I blame Damon. ALSO, I will let you know that my uninformed summary was, um, totally wrong. And i will resummarize for you once I catch up to where I started.

AND, I want to let you know that throughout the holiday I kept thinking about Bella and Lord Masen and wondering how they were going to spend Christmas, and if Boxing Day existed yet etc. So… you know… when you have time… :D

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and everyone out East is bunkering down and surviving the snow storm tollerably well. :) I know here, we’re so burried in snow, the cities are running out of places to put it all.

I myself had a wonderful Christmas (well four… five if you count the one Xmas morning with Mr TJE and the kidlets). But it was a Christmas laced with Twilight reminders. From one of my sisters telling the other, “That’s Normal.” To my daughter opening a Snow White princess baby and it reminded me of SnowWhiteDrifted. To getting a Muse CD from Santa. To laughing at myself when someone said, “Rob’s here!” and for just a second, I perked up before reminding myself it’s just the Rob in Mr. TJE’s family. …And several others in between.

But the best of them all was my dad telling me tidbits of factoids from the new useless knowledge book he’d gotten (because I love useless knowledge as much as he does):

Dad: “Bullfrogs are the only animal that never sleeps.”
    TJE: “Ever?”
    Dad: “No, never”
    TJE: “Huh”

Then I suddenly realized how similar that conversation was to the one in Twilight and let out a laugh. Thankfully my dad, though gave me a bit of a strage look, passed it off as amusement over the fact and moved onto the next one.

PS – Yey!! Pics of Rob! Happy Birthday Steph! 21 again? Hmmm, maybe I’ll do that for my next birthday, so instead of turning 31, I’ll turn 21. Hey, that would make me 20 right now. Sweet.

    • Stacey

You daughter got a SnowWhiteDrifted doll! That is awesome!

      • Anonymous

        :D She sure did.

And… the girls got tutus and it made me think of you.

        • Stacey

My little one has been wearing her tutu with her itty bitty Morrisey tee shirt (bright pink w/his emo head on it), giant Camp Rock teeshirt and playing the electric guitar Santa got her. I would teach some Muse songs but…nope Bombay Bicycle Club instead! Actually, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

          • Anonymous

Well that sounds beyond cute. Would love to see the Morrissey tee! :)

          • Anonymous

Hahaha. My little one was wearing her (pink and orange) tutu with her pink Hannah Montana (Party in the USA) shirt… I think I’ll suggest her Beatles shirt next time she wears it.

(The older one, wore the tutu too, but with not nearly the excitement as the little one.)

Ooh, Christmas presents. My husband got me an LTT tote… but not the one I wanted. This is how Christmas gifts tend to go at our house. So I tried to exchange it with Cafe Press, and they told me to just keep the one I didn’t want and they’re sending the one I want too. Sorry if I’m cutting into your profits Moon/UC/SWD! If I ever make it to an LTT event I’ll bring it to give as a prize.
My best present was the game Bananagrams, which provides endless opportunities for using Twi/LTT words, meaning that I giggle to myself a lot while playing. And refuse to explain why.

    • Anonymous

      “Like”

For some reason Disqus doesn’t let me “like” your comments. Some it lets me, others it doesn’t. I wonder what the distinction is. hmmmm…

    • Anonymous

OMG, Bananagrams is SOOOOO much fun!!! And I never even thought to use Twilight words in it before! My friend that I play it with all the time will appreciate how I work one in the next time we play it. Great idea!

      • Anonymous

Someday I will get all the letters for irrevocably… but there aren’t enough y’s in the set!

I love that game! This reminds me to bring it down with me when I visit my parentals for post-christmas christmas because flights were too expensive over actual christmas. They live in the middle of no where, so it’ll be a very dull time w/out banagrams!

i am trying to think of the four bad pix The Rob may have taken. I can only think of that horredndous profile pic from a few months ago. which ones are the other three?????

    • Anonymous

The pre-adolescent one with the scarf and loafers.

      • Anonymous

        Drunk Trucker Rob?!
Actually, in my 2010 Rob calendar they managed to pick 4 or 5 weird ones! I mean, the guy always looks good to me but could they at least TRY?!

      • Anonymous

Oh dear God. I wish that one never existed. I can only imagine how Rob feels about it.

  • Stacey

So other then the Eclipse DVD from my adorable husband, I also received Bath and Body Works: Twilight Woods perfume and lotion from sister. It wasn’t because of the scent. She also sent me a Bella and Edward pin for Halloween, which was surprisingly tasteful. These will be running gifts until she can find something with Somerhalder on it.

    • P.S.

Did you ever notice the ad for the Twilight Woods scent from Bath&Body? Edward & Bella look-a-likes sitting in a meadow of flowers. Can they do that? Isn’t that copyright infringement or something? (and no one can ever come close to looking like Rob, just for the record)

      • Stacey

I didn’t know there was such a thing until I opened it up on Christmas morning. My husband asked why my sister got me perfume. I showed him the name. He said, “Now I understand.”

    • TeamSeth

They better buckle down and make a Pocket Damon, j/s.

      • Stacey

You better believe it! I need a Pocket Damon to live at my house.

        • TeamSeth

Seriously. We could have diorama competitions using our Damons!

My nose is clogged and it makes me want to rage, Frankie, Brody Jenner’s friend on the Hills tweeted me, but still no Brody. I got some $ for Christmas and of course I am using it to travel to LTT friends/family in Hotlanta. All my $ goes to travel these days. I <3 it.

HATE you today (what's new?) PEACE

    • Stacey

If you got a tweet from Frankie, then you are even closer to a Brody tweet. Those boys are tight! My fingers are crossed for you!(Like my dream of a personalized Somerhalder tweet. Or at least a Facinelli. He’s always tweeting!)

    • Anonymous

Sorry about the nose. Being sick during the holidays legitimately deserves a little hate.

    • Anonymous

Hotlanta is not hot at all these days, unfortunately. Why do I live in the South if I’m still going to get stuck with winter???

robert and krestin son so match and merry christmas :*

  • P.S.

So I received nothing Twilight related for Christmas, which is good, my secret is still safe! But my sister did discreetly mention to me that she now has all 3 twilight dvd’s! And when we were talking about taking a family trip and I mentioned how I would love to see the Pacific Northwest :), we agreed that we could sneak away and see Forks! Yay!! I think I’ve finally converted her. Maybe she’s even lurking here now, since I sent her the link to this site awhile back. Sis, are you out there?

    • TeamSeth

Yay! PacNW potential trip! Happy to give tips for eateries, outings, lodging and activities upon request. :)

      • P.S.

Tip away! Even though we might not make the trip for another year and a half, never to early to start obsessing, I mean planning.

  • luvedwardlongtime

    Happy Motorboat Monday!

  • TwilightCat

I didn’t receive anything Twi-related for the holidays this year (alas, I’m still a closet Twi-fan as far as my nearest and dearest are concerned). However, I did give something Twi-related. The YouTube band Pomplamoose is coordinating a book drive for the public elementary and high schools in Richmond, CA, so I donated a complete set of Twilight books.

I know a young woman who hated reading until she read Twilight, and now she is not only reading voraciously, she’s also writing poetry, so I am familiar with the power of Stephenie Meyer to turn people into book addicts!

Anyhoozle, if anyone is interested in donating more Twi-stuff to the Richmond book drive (they are still asking for more copies of the Twilight series), the URL is: http://www.richmondbookdrive.com (ends PSA :-)

I hope you all are having happy holidays!

    • Anonymous

Tweed serious: This is the best thing about the whole Twi phenomenon. Thanks, Stephenie.

  • Bolleaux

So I’ve been lurking for a while. Love LTT!

  • chochang

i miss how we call Pancho “Nacho”. good times.

  • esteez

Ok, the only thing twi-related I got for Christmas was the 2 disc Eclipse movie. I did notice something strange the other day. Bic (I think) makes a disposable razor named Soleil Bella and Soleil Twilight. That’s about as bad as Hannah Montana fruit snacks.
