My Twilight Friends

I’m feeling mushy. And since many of you have “known” me for 2 and 1/2 years now & we’re most likely on the same “cycle,” I bet you’re feeling mushy this week too. So bear with me, please:

Dear Twilight,

I’ve been thinking about you & all that we’ve been through. I’ve been thinking about our ups & our downs and all the in betweens. The good times, the bad. The funny and the not so funny. And without a doubt, no question about it, the best thing that has come from you is the relationships you’ve brought me. Of course that starts with my friendship with Moon & how dear she is to me, but it continues on to so many others. There’s @CalliopeBlabs who I haven’t seen yet in 2011 but was reminded to email after her gmail account got hacked & she sent out some spam:

CalliopeBlabs

I chose this picture to represent Calliope because when I googled "Calliopeblabs & UC" SO MANY amazing pictures & manips appeared. This one represents Calliope best. (She made it)

And it was @JenBrun‘s birthday yesterday & she tried to get Jimmy Fallon to wear a purple tie in her honor last night by tweeting him all day! (Maybe it happened. I’m writing this pre-show time!)

and of course (SPOILER ALERT) our very own Obird- Olivia made it to the FINALS on Biggest Loser! Have you SEEN this girl??? She looks amazing & mark my words: She’s going to WIN IT ALL. I just know it. It’s because she reads LTT. AND has Pocket Edward with her on the ranch. And also once met Rob. Oh and she works the hardest & stuff like that:

Anyway, I could go on and on and on, but I won’t because I’ll leave someone important out, but YOU people are why I like Twilight. At first it was Edward Cullen. Then it was Rob Pattinson. And now it’s people I met through Twitter then some in real life & some through chatting & some through emailing & some through comments. YOU ALL. {See. I’m mushy.}

So I thought I’d share this letter we got that also made me feel mushy. It’s about a real life LTT meet-up:

Dear LTT,

I’ve been a reader since that glorious day of SMeyer’s mention of you on her website. Thanks to LTT, I’ve spent many a boring morning at work getting back into the office chair after having fallen off from laughter. For reals. I read on my phone often, which makes me something of a lurker because commenting from my phone SUCKS. Every now and then though I pop in on a  regular old computer and both the posts and comments are usually hysterical. I will occasionally contribute, but usually I just read.

I’m from Seattle, WA (you may have heard of it?) originally and about a year ago, Hubby and I began discussing a move somewhere in the South. After much discussion, we narrowed our choice down to Nashville, TN. Having never been there (hubby has lived in town before meeting me) I was slightly apprehensive. What is the weather like? Where will I work? Do I have to join a church? Do they have coffee there? While reading comments on LTT, I came across some users that live in the Nashville area and decided to see if they would answer my questions. They did and as I began following @sassysmart, @and78 & @allryans on Twitter I started thinking that I could possibly have some friends if I were to make the move. Over the past ten months or so we’ve been talking about happenings and neighborhoods and parties and get togethers they were going to have without me. And then last month we got the call….Hubby got a job and we’re moving! This meant that I would finally get to meet my fellow LTTer’s IN REAL LIFE! @sassysmart and @and78 and I set up a meeting at a local restaurant and I seemed silly getting ready. I told Hubby that it felt like I was getting ready for a blind date. What if they don’t like me? What if I dress weird for Nashville? What if they spend the whole time talking to one another and I’m just sitting there? WHAT IF they are total
Twi-hard nerds that show up wearing a creepy Edward t-shirt and a wolfy bracelet and are NOT NORMAL?!?

I am happy to say that both are completely normal, and completely lovely. We sat for a few hours drinking dirty vodka martinis talking about books and LTT and Nashville life and it all put me at ease. @and78 even baked for me. (Best. Cookies. EVER.) I realized that I will have friends anywhere because of LTT. Maybe someday we’ll be the kind of women that have periodic regional meetups. Maybe some of you already do. I’m looking forward to meeting @allryans soon and hopefully other readers in the area. A big thanks to Moon & UC for creating a medium where I can make new friends. You girls are the best!

Love and Vampire Kisses,
@Minderelly9

This story warms my heart!!!!!!! FRIENDS BECOMING FRIENDS FOREVER IN THE CITY WHERE “FRIENDS ARE FRIENDS FOREVER” WAS WRITTEN:

After the jump please enjoy some of my favorite moments making new friends through LTT

Warning: If you’re not featured here and you know I own a picture of you & I it is for one of the following reasons: I’ve already featured it before; I don’t have it on this computer and it’s on my other computer; I know you’ll kill me if I post that picture or I looked really horrible even though you looked cute:

Yep. This is me and @Larry411. BFF. He just doesn't know it

One of my all time favs!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!

Love,
Mushy UC

Have you met anyone in real life through LTT? Maybe not real life but you’ve taking your “virtual” friendship to the next level (hold on- not getting dirty here!) with phone chats or online chats? Share your favorite LTT friendship memories!!

Nothing makes my morning like a Michael W. Smith reference on LTT.

    • ChillinWithCullens

      YES!! 90’s Youth Group represent!!

  • superhumanmoron

Only thing @Minderelly9 forgot to mention was that we all also showed up wearing some type of sequins.  IT WAS MEANT TO BE!!! I will bake for you anytime!

  • http://www.fionaleonard.net Late Convert

I haven’t made new friends through Twilight, but have discovered a very surprising number of friends who love Twilight but have been lurking in the closet. I recently outed myself on my blog (http://www.fionaleonard.net/2011/05/twilight-robert-pattinson-and-me.html) and was very surprised to receive comments and emails from otherwise sane women gushing about their love of Twilight – artists, college types, Phd’s you name it. Even one friend who is in her late 40s writing to tell me about taking her mother to see Water for Elephants and yes, now mother is an RP fan. It’s a beautiful thing…maybe it’s time to invent a secret handshake…

    • MariaCecilia

Yes! Secret handshake! How about we keep an ice-pack in our handbags to make our hands real COLD before shaking someone’s hand? Or we could yank our hands back ultra-quick to signify the electric shock we feel on contact? Or tap E-D-W-A-R-D in morse in the other person’s palm? The possibilities are endless…

      • natteringyeahrobber

I think if one of us sees another potential LTT person, we should say “hello” with a Kermit accent, just like Edward says hello to Bella in Twilight (bio lab scene). And look ultra-serious and in pain.

        • Anonymous

I just…I love you. I truly do. I just snorted water out my nose, and I so desperately hope I meet you so I can see you do that.

          • MariaCecilia

You want to see natteringyeahrobber snort water out her nose..? okaay.. THAT could be our “secret handshake” – because that’s what we do a lot here on LTT!

          • natteringyeahrobber

I’m not keen on water out the nose. I can’t even bring myself to do the neti pot thing (and YES, I know it works, I just cannot bring myself to do it). But I’m good at spitting drinks out through the mouth. Also dumping coffee on myself. Would that work as an alternative?

          • Anonymous

Okay, here it is: We shake hands but pull away sharply. Then we goggle meaningfully at each other juuuuust uncomfortably too long. Then the Kermit hello, followed by a spit-take. Agreed?

          • MariaCecilia

Ok, my head is spinning right now, but give me the weekend to practice on my family (lol) and then I think I’ve got it down! :-) <3 u

          • Anonymous

This is going to be the best meet up ever.

        • JenJadeEyes

Okay, NYR, are you in the Midwest?  If you are, I wanna start the Midwest LTT/LTR Fan-group with you and the entry requirements are you have to appropriately “kermit-ize” (yeah, I made it up, but it works…) the word Hello with the right amount of serious pain in the face.

Is now the time to mention that my niece begged me to take her to Twilight opening weekend (I had never heard of it before), and when Edward did his whole “she smells so good” thing in the bio room, I turned to her and said, “Is he gonna puke?  Cause I’m leaving if he’s gonna puke.”?

          • natteringyeahrobber

nope, west coast. i love chicago though!

when we do have a LTT/LTR convention, maybe it can be in chicago, since all planes seem to fly there directly. we can have a big kermit “hello” workshop, with a voice coach and everything.

i laugh every time i watch edward dry heave in that scene. i honestly don’t know how rob did that scene with a straight face.

      • alice_av

Tap E-D-U-A-R-D how normal is that I actually know morse code =S lol

      • Lstroud

        Ice pack, definitely!

    • Anonymous

I just snortlaughed out loud about yanking our hands back ultra-quick…hee hee. Also: Late Convert, I looove your post, and the “lost in the meyer” cartoon. That is exactly what happens! I just posted more on my Twi-insanity today: http://tracitalynne.com/traci/?p=1103

srsly what is wrong with me?

    • TeamSeth

SQUEE YOU LIKE ALEXANDER MCCALL SMITH TOO!!!!!  (sorry, calming down)  Um, anyway, yeah…. yay :)

    • Lstroud

I love the scret handshake idea – let everyone know what it will be, okay?

  • Anonymous

LTT Convention!!! I want to be in a big pile on a bed with UC and Moon! (take that any way you like, it’s the truth.)

    • http://letterstotwilight.com UnintendedChoice

       I’d like that too

  • Allryans

Meeting online people in general is a scary thing, but I have yet to have a freakout “get me away from this crazy person” with you LTT people. It helps that I stalk you all on FB before I commit to a meetup. Just a couple weeks, right @minderelly? Then you can meet by personal brand of crazy in THE FLESH. (I said flesh, and that’s creepy – there’s your first clue to make other plans that weekend.)

    • superhumanmoron

Just as long as you didn’t say moist.  Because that is creepy.

      • Allryans

ACK. That’s one of my no-no words.

    • MariaCecilia

Reminds me of a sketch with Rowan Atkinson where he sits on a train looking creepy and suddenly leans forward to the person across from him and says “I am bent.” Pregnant pause. “My skin is soft and smooth.” and so on.. Punch line? “You’re a banana!” General cheers in the carriage.
(Translate to Twi: “I am hard.” Pause. “My skin is smooth and cool.” and so on..)

  • alice_av

I truly love this letter edition, it make me mushy too. So far I have not like Twilight friends, I mean I have friends who like Twilight but they are totally normal lol. I would love to go to a LTT convention, I would love to be around you guys everyone here is super relaxed and do not judge people and always see the lighter side of things.  I would love to meet you all…

    • BayWolf

You wrote what I was thinking :-)
Just a shame I live so far away..

  • Gkngc04

I haven’t made friends because of LTT but I now have oodels of more friends than I have ever had before Twilight. The comraderie that I share with these woman is instant and amazing! And I am so very proud of Olivia even though I have never “met” her but we’ve tweeted! Love reading LTT and LTR faithfully!

  • JustGoWithIt

I want to break free of the apple in hand. But I am completely out of practice and useless when it comes to making re-sizing images. Can anyone help me out?

    • Anonymous

what do you need help with? resizing, or just another avi?

      • JustGoWithIt

I was thinking I’d either make a little drawing and scan it, so prob. help sizing in that case. Or I could just find an image. I’ll have to search around. Also how do you actually load it up?

        • Anonymous

I was going to suggest some avis but NO. You must draw one! Best if it’s square, obvs.

And then when you save it, just resize the image to…whatever it is? 100×100? 300×300? And then Disqus has a thing where you can Edit Profile, then go to Avatar. and upload from there.

I can’t wait to see what you draw!

          • JustGoWithIt

Okay, so I am drawing my picture, and of course my 5 year old wants to help. So he helped me color, and now he is copying it in his own version. I might just have to use his. I especially like the box of tampons. I’m glad now that I decided against a cheese plate, nipple clamps and a sex collar.

          • Anonymous

But! Nipple clamps on a cheese wheel would make the most epic LTT swag.

I am so excited to see this.

          • JustGoWithIt

You’re right. Yet so not appropriate for a 5 year old to help draw. Not that he would know what they were. That is the worst though, because then he’d go around drawing cheese wheels with nipple clamps, and Mr. JGWI would get all WFT is this.
I’m having trouble. I found the scanned image, but it is in a version of PDF, and I can’t figure out how to crop the white out of the image so that it is just the square picture. You’d think it would be obvious how to do that, but I’m not finding it so. I’m sure I was supposed to open it with a different program in order to edit it like that. I might have to ask Mr. JGWI tomorrow (and then I can change myself to a nipple clamped cheese wheel after he shows me how to do). Yeesh.

          • TeamSeth

You can try to use picnik online… free image editing software.  Just upload your thing and then you can crop, resize, etc.

          • JustGoWithIt

It is a lost cause for the day. I don’t know why it comes up as a PDF, which picnik won’t recognize as a “picture”. I’m not going to download free PDF converting programs on our computer without permission from Mr. JGWI, and I can’t get it to work. Oh well, in a day or two I will have it together. Apple in hand for now. PS I have assumed you are TeamSeth as a reference to the “Seth” that posts stuff on SM’s website. Is that the way it is, or is there a different reason. From what I can gather, you are not a man named Seth, who is trying to give Team Edward and Team Jacob a run for their money.

          • TeamSeth

Okay, send me the pdf at goteamseth@93be3d7a7c8f62d75d465405d03ffe12:disqus
gmail.com and I will cut it down to size and send it back to you using my fancy high tech photo editing program ;)  Free of charge!

ps-yes. and yes.  but no?  TeamSeth name is two-fold… a nod to SM’s brother Seth (the web editor of her site, Seth Morgan…her maiden name is Morgan) and then a reference to how much I love book Seth because he’s the most positive person in the book.  The man in my avatar is Daniel Cudmore at a movie premiere in Buddy Holly glasses.

          • TeamSeth

and I have NO idea why it tagged blackgirltwihard in my post.  I was tryign to say @ gmail   I guess the @ cannot be used for email any longer in comments?

    • TeamSeth

Break free!  Fly little bird, Fly!

    • http://letterstotwilight.com UnintendedChoice

i read this and thought you were spam. until i realized you were talking about your avi!

  • MariaCecilia

Sigh. This post makes me mushy and kinda sad at the same time, because I love the friendship I feel on this site, but myself I am isolated on an island far, far away (no, not Isle Esmee unfortunately, more like the forest of Forks) and have no other Twi-connections.
Ah, well, probably all for the best: I would not have the time to do all the cool things you do together. If I tried I would probably get kicked out by my family for disloyalty. I mean, you can’t belong to a family unless you spend at least 20% of your time with them, right?
Edward voice-over: “You are my family now, LTT.”

    • TeamSeth

Somehow I think marriage contracts and bloodlines count more than time usage does for family loyalty excommunications… but I’m no lawyer.

So you live on a cold, woodsy island?  Like Iceland or Ireland? Perhaps on PEI?  Vancouver Island?  Or was that more metaphorical?

      • natteringyeahrobber

I have always pictured MC in Iceland, or one of those places where the ground is always crunchy with frozen dew and people walk around with thermoses full of Earl Grey. Some town with good doctors. A place with strange clothes sizing like 43LPA instead of 10. MC, please confirm.

        • MariaCecilia

Okay, here it is, I live in Sweden, which is actually not unlike Vancouver in terms of cold climate and lots of spruce and pine forests. Isolated, more in metaphorical terms of me being “over here” while most of you are “over there”. We DO drink a lot of tea (and coffee) and have an excellent university hospital in my town (No Carlisle Cullen so far, though, but affordable public healthcare – yeah!) so we are actually quite civilized. Clothes for women range from 36(S) to 48(XL) so you are not far off the mark there…

          • TeamSeth

I prefer the strange clothing sizes… I also like to refer to them as normal and sensible sizes.  Why would we not want to know our size based on our measurements?  Clearly if we know our measurements then we can fit better into our clothing.  This just seems obvious to me, plus you can’t run “a small 6″ in one store when it’s measurements.

            Frustration.

Oh Sweden! Isn’t it so expensive (alcohol) there? Do you like that one movie Life as a Dog (Lasse Hallstrom)?  I like his other movie (his first one that comes as a bonus feature on that DVD) Ska vi gå hem till dej eller till mej eller var och en till sitt?  That is one of my favorite movies.

          • Anonymous

Oh you crazy Swedes with your free health care.  We hardy Americans prefer to have our ill people die on the streets like god intended. Also! Have you seen that one weird Bergman movie where the girl gets chased off stage with a remote control dildo? Good stuff!

          • BayWolf

            Yay – a Scandinavian ;-)
I’m from Denmark – that’s not so far away. Even though when you’ve lived in a small country like Denmark your whole life the concept of distance get pretty narrowed :-)

          • Anonymous

Oh I’ve always wanted to go there (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, etc) I’ve got a little Dutch in me, among other things.  I had plan to spend the summer there after graduating high school, but the plans started to change a little my freshman year.

          • Anonymous

Sven approves of this post. Go Sweden!

Hmm. I set up a twi-Twitter account so I could send tweets into the CW void. He never responds, but that’s OK, sending unanswered letters to Rob for the past 6 months has given me strength to handle daily correspondence rejection. Anyhow, one day at work I was bored and decided to follow people who were commenting on the LTT twitter page, you know, for fun and so maybe I could get some of the inside joke references I’ve never been able to get here. I tried to follow people who already had like 200 followers so they wouldn’t even notice me following them. Anyhow: most people who write on the LTT wall also have locked twitter pages (presumably to keep out Twi-haters?). I got blocked by a lot of people, which I TOTALLY understand. Who wants me to leave one of my creepy Edward notes in their Twitter feed? And besides, I suck at Twitter. I didn’t take it personally. But amazingly, some of you let me in. Awhhh. <3

I do walk around town with my LTT-radar on all the time. So far…nothing. Except the woman with the purple hair, but I haven't seen her in weeks. One day, one day I'll run into someone who has LTT up on her iPad, though. Can't wait for that day.

“sending unanswered letters to Rob for the past 6 months has given me strength to handle daily correspondence rejection.”

I should start doing this before I go to begin submitting my fiction… Good practice!  I’d have to send it to Bewley or Cudmore though because I’d actually want to hear back from them.  Otherwise it’s not as much of a loss so it’s poor practice.  “Dear Bewley, sorry that weird girl gave Jamie Bower nipple clamps and ruined your experience.  Or enhanced the humor of it?  Let’s move on.  New sentence, new paragraph:  Hello! You might know some people I know in the fandom.  Nope, nope, let’s start again.  Hey! I used to tweet with your good friend from home but then I got a job and quit going on twitter.  It wasn’t in an effort to meet you though, he was just really cool. Um… okay, let’s start again, again.  Hey charlie! Can you please get me tickets to the Canucks vs. Sharks series? I live between the two cities and could feasibly attend both home and away games.  Yes, I’m a Canucks fan.  And if you wanted to throw in a seat next to Cudmore, I would support that. I am very, very normal.  Thanks! –TS”

      That should work.

        • Anonymous

I found out how hard it is to come up with a unique name trying to start an account– all the permutations I tried of my regular internet stalker names were already taken, so I ended up with my 50th choice for a name.

    • Anonymous

I broke down and got a twitter for the same reason.  Will you give out your twitter name so I can stalk you?

    • Anonymous

Anyone from LTT can follow me and I’ll definitely follow you back! (hah, I sound like one of those spammy types “I’ll follow you if you follow me”….) My name there is the same as it is here.

The downside of following me on Twitter is I somehow managed to have professional contacts & clients follow me on my personal account. So I have this hybrid Twitter account where 1/2 the time I’m tweeting about writing and proofreading and professional businessy type stuff, and 1/2 the time I am trying to veil my Twilight-themed or HP-themed (or similarly-themed) tweets. My most successful tweet was one where I tweeted the link to a site that described, in detail, all of the grammatical errors in Twilight. It combined both of my interests: editing and Twilight. I got feedback from Twilight fans who, like me, didn’t take it too seriously (it was a ridiculously picky, snobby website), and they were all like, “haha, oh yeah, that’s the Twilight we know and love, who cares if the comma was misplaced on page 110 of New Moon; in the grand scheme of things, ‘fade to black’ was a greater offense, etc.” and then my professional followers were all like “we are so above Twilight! Down with Twilight! Twilight was written with all of the finesse of a 9 year old!” That particular tweet managed to delight all of my followers at once.

      • TeamSeth

Oh, I would fit into both your categories!  You can tweet for me full time then :)  (except that I’m rarely on twitter ‘cuz it’s blocked at work)

I miss you when you’re not around, Janetrigs: you sat in on one of the first “breaking it down” posts I read and I loved your comments, great to see that you are still around! I will hereby do an Alice and predict that you will one day cave and read FF, however unlikely that may seem today..

Firstly, will there be another LTT L.A. meet up for BD? *fingers crossed*

Secondly, we’ve commented this a bunch of times, but Stacey and I met here and discovered we were cosmic twins with a million things in common. We co-wrote some guest letters here on LTT and had so much fun doing it, we started our own blog to discuss even more of the popular “supernatural”  franchises out there. Usually we just mingle the characters/ actors from Twilight , True Blood, Vampire Diaries, Outlander, and Being Human. C’mon aren’t you curious about what Rob emailed to Vampire Diaries Paul about the Royal wedding or the glory of Eric Northman’s tracksuits?  http://talksupe.wordpress.com

    • Stacey

      You make me smile!

I want to go to the LTT LA meet up for BD! Of course, I might have to try for an east coast edition instead.

We really have a eerie amount of stuff in common. Plus we sound A LOT alike. How do we know this? Well our daughters make each other videos. Also, I realized that we either text or email each other several times a day? Could you imagine if we ACTUALLY lived by each other? It would be a crazy amount of shopping trips. :0)

      • http://www.talksupe.wordpress.com snowwhitedrifted

Oh! That reminds me, Snow jr. made a dancing video for Stacey jr. last night. It’s still on Mr. Snow’s phone. Apparantly Snow jr. is a fan of the new Beastie Boys single.

I WISH we lived by each other! I’d so be at your house right now for ham sammies and a play date. ;)

        • Stacey

Yay Snow Jr. Beastie Boys dance video! Of course, then I’ll have to put on the Glee soundtrack so Elise can make another one. But how with she top the Thriller/Heads Will Roll Glee Mash-up?

That would be excellent, because the girls could watch the ducks in the pond together and beg for Cheddar Bunnies. Then my little boy can waddle around him, because he finally started walking. Then we can tease his hair into a little baby bouffant and call him “Lil’ Ed Cullen” instead of his nickname now, “Baby Bieber” (That poor baby really needs a first haircut)

BTW, we are so weird. (In a good way, of course)

Awww!  I’d group hug the hell out of you guys if I could!  Picture a Golden Girls “group hug”, but with more Twi

    porn and booze. <3

  • Stacey

I’ve met so many fantastic people here! Of course, there’s my ‘twin’ Snow White Drifted. I was wearing an LTT tee shirt while at a friend’s house with a bunch of other moms. One of them asked where I got such an interesting shirt (Big Daddy’s Fish Fry) and I said “my twin made it’. Let’s just say they were VERY confused.

Also, I email a lot of you often just to talk like Team Jacob Edward, Team Seth and No Cool Name. Which is great fun. I used to talk to a bunch of you on Twitter…but…I promise to write on it again,it’s been very busy lately!

My husband, every once again asks how you are doing, UC. He calls you, “that blog girl with the tax question”. Yep. I outed myself to my accountant husband about tee shirt revenue. Now he knows I love a series of books about repressed vampires who glitter like disco balls. On the up side, the ‘children’ got me Twilight the movie for Mother’s Day. Do you think he’d let me go to a BD LTT meet up in California? Maybe I shouldn’t hold my breath on that one.

    • http://www.talksupe.wordpress.com snowwhitedrifted

If it helps, Mr. Snow was very anxious about me going to the L.A. #LegHitch2010 party, and I’m only an hour South. I know how alike they are when comes to our little Normal “hobbies”.

That reminds me, I didn’t pay taxes on said situation you referenced.
      *emailing Moon*

Those two men really need to pull a Charlie and Billy and go fishing.
They’d have fun. You know, ’cause there would be beer.

ZOMG you guys did you see Eric Yorkie on House a couple weeks ago? (that I just watched on Hulu last night and yelled out “ZOMG IS THAT ERIC YORKIE?!?!”) (Mr. Slut doesn’t even flinch anymore when I do that shit.)

  • Minderelly9

It’s true. I did forget to mention that we were all wearing sequins. Also last week, I made @sassysmart:disqus go to a ridiculous Prairie Home Companion-esque show with me complete with fake commericials, jug-blowing and grown men in overalls. Too funny.

@08cf22c0ae5cc6398088be3451d7706a:disqus  : does this mean you’re going to wear creepy flesh colored pants? Very excited for the upcoming hilarity.

@janetrigs:disqus : You don’t know me because I’m a filty lurker at commenting. But I do follow you on Twitter and I even donated to your charity last year.

And to Moon & UC I meant every word. Thanks for doing what you do and creating a medium for all of us to meet new friends and share crazy experiences with. My move to NashVegas has been a complete success because of those girls. Can’t wait to meet you both IRL someday! Mushy, mushy, mushy!

    • http://letterstotwilight.com UnintendedChoice

omg!!! @janetrigs will hate you so much (that means love )
i can’t wait to meet you either!!!

      • http://letterstotwilight.com UnintendedChoice

wtf.. why didn’t that tag Jane? @janetrigs:disqus

What?  Oh, I get it now, flesh-colored pants.

      • TeamSeth

        Is that real?

      • Skay

        oh my! that’s…um…yeah…

  • Anonymous

Aw! I love mushy day. I haven’t met any real life LTTers (yet) but certainly enjoy some great online friendships and acquaintances through comments, emails and Tweeting.

My life is a little bit isolating; I work from home, travel a lot because of my family, and most of my RL friends are scattered around the country & world these days. Having this little network at LTT for the ~2 years I’ve been visiting has been great. Catching up in the comments or sharing a tweet with fellow LTT gals is like having my own virtual lunchroom/breakroom/coffee shop at my disposal 24/7. It gives me an odd and comfortable sense of community and stability. Not to mention I feel like most of you have more in common with me in terms of interests than most of my RL friends!

Also I have to say how awesome Olivia has done – wow! Congrats!

And UC and Moon, you both foster the friendly (yet still delightfully snarky) and general sense of community here; I don’t think it’s just a coincidence that so many of us have formed friendships on here!

  • Kaybvee

Ha, I have a twi/Rob only twitter account too. I feel bad for my one IRL friend who found me somehow and probably wants to block me now-oh jeez. Besides her, I have like 9 followers! I rock.

We need a Nor Cal meet up (is there anyone else out there?!?!?!) if only for the fact that maybe I could get some pomegranate cider.

My 15 year old niece was using my I phone the other day and noticed the LTT icon, she was dying. I said “hey, those girls are funny.” Yeah, I tried to justify myself to her…whatevs, what does she know…she’s Team Jacob! Again, I’m awesome.

    • natteringyeahrobber

i have 9 followers too! well, 7 real people, plus some twilight spammy looking site and a taco truck. i thought i was supposed to follow taco trucks, not the other way around.  they keep telling me they are on the other end of town, too, just to taunt me.

      • Anonymous

I had random twitter follower – a New York vetinary clinic. I live in Australia and have no pets. Must have googled ‘wolf’ and ‘Kellan’ a few too many times.

    • TeamSeth

I have a lot of BooBoo followers… the BooBoo Radley girls….

Anyway, I’m in Oregon… kind of sort of not that close… (I’m trying. No one lives in Portland apparently…or they know that I do and don’t like me so they hide the fact that they live here, this is always a possibility of sadness I face daily.)

      • TeamSeth

I’m sorry.  I’m sick with the flu and really spacey today and upon rereading, I’m realizing my comment didn’t flow at all and sounded kind of rude and random.  I meant it as a joke about having random followers that I don’t know on twitter (like natt’s taco truck). But I don’t think that came across… at all! lol  So, please ignore. :)

        • natteringyeahrobber

sf/bay area people are sort of like that too. like we hide from each other unless we have appointments or dates to meet. “oh crap, there’s jenny, i’m not supposed to have lunch with her until thursday, ack, DUCK!!!!” i thought it was a local thing, but maybe it is a north-of-monterey and south of seattle thing.

  • http://twitter.com/_Freya Freya

Thanks to LTT, I met some of my best friends ever.  These are the girls I talk to, Tweet, text, and get together with.  I’m moving east, and my first thought was “I’ll be near my girls!”  My girls, of course, being my LTT girls.  LTT changed my life for the better.  And I don’t exaggerate.

Also?  I kissed a unicorn.  And I liked it.

    All because of LTT.

    • TeamSeth

You kissed a unicorn?!  I think that needs to be a song.  And certainly it should be on a tshirt.  SWD?!

    • Anonymous

Speaking of unicorns, where’s our new friend, El Unico?

      • natteringyeahrobber

Maybe our talk of The Shaggy B.A. scared him off?

        • JustGoWithIt

The Shaggy B.A.? The Shaggy B.A. that can scare grown men? I need to know what that is.

          • natteringyeahrobber

            See http://www.mtv.co.uk/artists/robert-pattinson/news/197543-r-pattz-admits-to-wearing-fake-bum and http://www.showbizspy.com/article/200646/robert-pattinson-used-bra-to-cover-his-ass-crack.html

Basically, I think it was decided that the reason he used the bra was to cover up his bum, and the reason he needed to cover his bum was because it was shaggy. And the reason his bum is shaggy is because his face is shaggy in this photo: http://tinyurl.com/3tvcxfcVery scientific conclusion, I know.

          • TeamSeth

Clearly you have a B.S. in Shaggy Bum Deduction.

          • Anonymous

I’m sorry I can’t read the screen anymore because I have licked it all over. I fucking love ScruffyFace. Damn.

Also, Shaggy DA? Old weird Disney references are where it’s at.

          • natteringyeahrobber

I don’t get all the swooning over hairy Rob. Shaggy DA was just what came to mind when I saw that photo of him.

            For instance:
            http://i56.tinypic.com/25036ue.jpg

          • Anonymous

Gah, are you serious? I luuurrve ShaggyRob. And clean cut Rob. He’s kinda beautiful.

that Shaggy D.A. is too much for me this early. Srsly Disney WTF.

          • natteringyeahrobber

beer and foodstuff can get all caught up in beards that shaggy. dh tried that lumberjack look for a while and it…no. i was not a fan. i was always pointing to his beard and saying stuff like “toast in your beard” or “froth on your face.”

i’m sure rob would not dump beer all over his beard on purpose, but these things happen.

          • Anonymous

Yeah, Mr. Slut will go all shaggy, especially in winter. It’s cute, except when we kiss and hair goes up my nose, then it’s gross. Still, it’s visually…hotness. All mountain man feral. Something to do with my neanderthal brain and latent pre-feminist blah blah grunt pheromones.

I’ve yet to actually meet any of you. I’ve had a couple dreams that I have, but haven’t actually. And of course there is that time I was passing through Luludee’s neck of the woods in a vacation and very nearly got to meet her. I was to blame for that quick hello not happening. (Still kicking myself Luludee! timezones. Ugh.)

I’ve “talked” with many of you at least once through the forum, email or FF, but have pretty regular email conversations back and forth with Midnight Cougar (MC) and Stacey. And have had countess IM chats w/ Team Seth. :)

    • TeamSeth

TJE!  I was just seeing your name and being like “Oh, I should go see if she’s on”  and then you put that in the comment haha  So, add another to the countless…

      • Stacey

This is so fun, because I just sent YOU an IM!

    • Stacey

That reminds me that I started an email to you that I need to finish!
      :0)

  • emmeloowhoo

I’ve made tons of friends via LTT and even if I’m not around a lot, I love all of you even those I haven’t met.

  • Anonymous

This is such a great place to be. Thanks UC & Moon for creating such a funny and nice community for us.
I met so many of you and I like you all so much. I made some really good friends through this site and I’m sure that if we lived in the same part of the world, we’d be RL friends as well.

I’m confused. Is Blonde Bella Doll in top picture referring to her own deficiencies or Jacob Dolls? And why is Bella Doll blonde?

  • Kaybvee

I will never look at that scene the same way again, it really is kermitey! Oh lordy.

  • FATMA-1429

meeting one of you guys is a dream that would never come true :(
(i’m from Kuwait, i bet you don’t even know where that is. Anyway,I’m a long time reader but this is actually my first comment ever)

    • TeamSeth

Don’t be silly, of course we know where Kuwait is! South of Iraq, north of Saudi, on the Persian Gulf etc. etc.  Yay for comments! :)  But don’t get all “you won’t meet anyone” because my first LTT meet-up was in Africa in another hemisphere some 10,236 miles away from me.  You just never know!

      • FATMA-1429

wow! your first LTT meet-up was in Africa? that really gives me hope, thanks TeamSeth :)

        • FATMA-1429

oh and it’s The Arabian Gulf , but let’s not get into the politics.

Okay it now seems to be up. And I think I am now registered at both Discus and Gravatar. And I am nervous about where my little lady is going to pop up. Oh, and I am now GoWithIt. Don’t just. Never just.

    • TeamSeth

YAY it showed up!  A name change though… oh well.  I’ll just go with it :)
