Happy Thanksgiving!

You guys have any turkey??

Dear LTT-ers,

For us here in the states it’s time to celebrate THANKSGIVING!!!! A day (long weekend) to hang with your family, eat a 20 pound roasted/brined/fried/dead bird and be thankful for stuff like your health and friends and crushed velvet suits and Twilight. For those not in the know or need a refresher, we (and by we I mean HeyyyBrother) explained it to Rob on LTR many moons again. It’s a freaking hilarious read if you have time to kill between turkey basting sessions or if you’re like me and want to avoid potentially politically charged conversations with your uncle who arrived in an RV equipped with a satelite dish installed especially for Fox News.

To say we’re thankful for YOU all is an understatement you guys make this what it is, we just provide some nonsense every few days. 2011 has been a redonkulous year and we’re so thankful for all that it’s added to our Twilight and non Twilight lives. We’re also thankful it’s Thanksgiving because we’ve both been running nonstop since Halloween doing Twilight related stuff and this is a legit excuse to take a breather. THANK YOU Pilgrims and the Native Americans you encroached on all those years ago.

We truly hope you enjoy your next few days and sit back and ponder all you have to be thankful for… even if it’s just the fact Jackson didn’t look super crazy in Breaking Dawn. It’s SOMETHING, right?! Even if you’re not in the states or American, Thanksgiving doesn’t just have to happen on American soil or in American households… we all have a ton to be thankful for……… including vampires and werewolves.

Oh and if you happen to see two girls throwing elbows at the Hot Topic Black Friday sale just give us the 50% off Alice film replica chokers and no one gets hurt.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moon and UC

PS go be thankful at LTR too… you know we love the photoshops :)

If I didn’t have LTT/R, I’d have all these crazy Twilight thoughts in my
head and nowhere to express them with a community of like-minded! So I am thankful to UC and Moon for entertaining us all and bringing us together (dabs eyes).

Seconded. I don’t know what I would do without you all. You make me feel #normal.

      xoxo

(I wonder if the theater is open on Thanksgiving. I bet it is, yeah? Round Three!)

      • MariaCecilia

Better yet: you gave me a new definition of “normal”!

      • TeamSeth

Thanksgiving IS for watching the Twilight film again. #duh

  • Nelle

Oh dear God. I almost choked when I  saw Ellen holding a Jumpin’ Rob magazine cover.  Thanks for making my day.

PS Just saw BD Pt 1 for the 3rd time last night. That’s normal, right?  And I guess there are no secrets from Mr. Nelle anymore.  He KNOWS.

    • MariaCecilia

So was Mr Nelle cool about it, like Bella was about Edward killing people, or weirded out, like Bella was about Jacob killing people?

      • Nelle

Mr. Nelle just laughs at me. But he has already started to enable me. If the trailer comes on he’ll yell for me. Or he’ll say “There’s that Twilight guy you like.” And he says I single handedly made their ticket goal. AND he didn’t even blink when I said I was going a 4th time with another friend. So what a guy!!

        • Anonymous

Definitely a feeder. We like that ;)

      • Bubs

Good point ! You can tell The Goddess [SM] didn’t write that scene [ever]. I really feel Melissa Rosenberg still has a lot to answer for…..

    • Julie Seifert

Lucky you! I’ve been trying to find a time to sneak off at see it for the second time…but it’s hard! You can’t just disappear in the middle of the day for two hours. People wonder.

      • KStewBoy

Julie – I am doing just that tomorrow!  I haven’t even seen the thing yet.  Disgraceful, I know.  I am going to leave for a LONG lunch for a 1:00pm showing.  With all the adds and stuff I guess that means it will really start at like, 1:20 or 1:30 right?  The theater is close by so I can leave my cubicle at 1:10 I think… nobody will notice.

Oh well, we’re not getting bonuses this year – so I’m going tomorrow at lunch.  Yipee!

And all the best to everyone this fine weekend – LTT Rulez.

        • TeamSeth

KStewBoy!!!!!!!!  You’ve not seen it yet?!!!!

I can’t wait to read your thoughts on it… from a KStew appreciation perspective and just a Twifan perspective :)  What was that?  You’re going to write a letter to LTT about it?  Awesome!!!

        • The Old One

Do you not get Thanksgiving off, KStewBoy?  If you had the day off, you could grab the car keys, and yell as you’re going out the door:  “I need to pick up a couple more cans of cranberry sauce!” and then when you get back 2-1/2 hours later you can say they were out of cranberry sauce at every place you went to.
          Just a thought.

Oh, and don’t miss all the trailers–you may get to see the SWATH trailer, in which your girl looks pretty good.

        • Anonymous

Enjoy the white bikini young man. We shall be expecting a full report tomorrow eve

        • MariaCecilia

I THINK the side boob action is when  Bella gets in the water in the moonlight, but it’s short, so don’t blink! Just saying.

        • http://julie9.blogspot.com/ Julie S.

Good luck! Usually it seems like theaters list the start times as when the previews start…and there are A LOT of previews. If you’re late, you won’t miss anything too too important. The good stuff is about 30 minutes in.

By the way, I just got back from seeing it again, so I am THANKFUL for that. Also, anyone else thankful for the sweet handholding during the wedding kiss? It’s such a small thing, but I thought it was really cute.

          • Bubs

There’s hand holding ???? How did I miss that ? Now I’ll have to go and see it AGAIN….. :-]

        • Anonymous

Oh KStewBoy…You haven’t seen the honeymoon outfits? Oh dear. You are going to need, uh, some *time* after the movie. Some Gentleman Time. Maybe you should just really take the rest of the day off. Srsly.

          • KStewBoy

Ok – so some points for me to address here:

            1. TS: Write a LTT from a KS fan’s perspective?  Challenge accepted! (In due time of course)
            2. Old One: I don’t get Thanksgiving off. Boo. My company has only one client – and they aren’t in the USA, so we get their holidays instead of our own (Bizzar-o, I know)
            3. SisterP, MariaC: I will be going alone (creepy?  Please say no), so I won’t be distracted.  I should not miss a thing *wink*
            4. JulieS: Don’t worry about the SWATH trailer.  It already has a special place on my hard-drive
            5. MSN: No comment.  That is my business.  Nobody needs to hear about that.

I hope I am Twilight Man Enough to ditch work this afternoon!  I will give a brief update tonight… only if I don’t chicken out.

          • Anonymous

Perfectly normal and not at all creepy young man. Many of the best people have gone to see it on their own. Just keep your hands visible to the general public

          • Anonymous

KStewBoy we were talking about you (while discussing LTT) the this past weekend after seeing the movie, and saw that we were walking past a bar called the Unicorn with a bunch of guys standing around outside. Then imagined it was a bar that catered to men who like Twilight. That’s right. You’d never know it, but these guys are superfans.

          • KStewBoy

Are you kidding me?!  Is that for real?!??

Anywho – to the business at hand.  An update from a WORK SKIPPER!  Yes, this afternoon I played up my cold in front of the co-workers and worked up enough courage to tell them I was leaving at noon (even re-scheduling a 3pm meeting) – so I could get to the 1pm screening.

Well, I made it!!!!!!!!  I was the only single person there – there were less than 50 people in the 500+ seat matinee.

Let me just say this: you ladies sure set me up for a Kristen Stewart fall.

I mean, yes, the first half of the film was gorgeous.  Every frame filled with her beautiful face.  Then the honeymoon, and some teasing shots of her swimming ‘naked’.  Some prancing in skimpy lingerie.  Even a blue nightie, barely covering her curvy bum (yes, I said curvy) – all up in Edward’s face.

I should have left the theater when she upchucked into the toilet.  It was ALL DOWNHILL from there.  I mean, come on.  You’re making Kristen Stewart look TERRIBLE for over an hour.  It was really wearing me down.  Seeing her look worse and worse.  I wasn’t sure I could take it much longer.

Then it ended.  With just more teasing.  Please could we not have seen her in her vampire glory – just for one second?!  Not just here magnificent eyes – I’m talking the whole package.

Bill Condon, I curse you.  I curse you for leaving the lasting image in my brain of a white, bloody, dead Kristen Stewart.  I don’t know if I can forgive you for that.  You’d better make up for it in Part II, buddy – or we’re gonna have some harsh words.

But it was GREAT movie.  I loved it.  Let’s discuss!

          • Anonymous

Weeellllllll, that kind of gives the whole thing away to talk about how  gross things get in the second half. LOVED how different it got in the second half. They went there. Of course the end was a tease. Now why it has to be a whole year until we get to see the second half I don’t know.

          • Anonymous

Yeah! I don’t understand why not six months? It’s a book split into halves and although you don’t want overkill you also don’t want to completely loose the momentum. If it was good enough for Harry Potter…?

On the other hand, if it shows earlier does that mean LTT finishes earlier?? NOOOOOOOO!

          • Anonymous

Mwah ha ha ha (and other assorted evil cackles)! Have you not yet learnt our ways?

You’re obviously going to need to see it again to fully appreciate the final scenes where the camera caresses her body as it refills: defined zygoma going..going..gone

Will think of you at my second viewing Tuesday. Should I be making timing notes?

Glad you finally got to see it. I totally agree that the first half was beautiful and that in the the second half it turned a complete 180. So unfortunate, but I am also looking forward to the next one, now that all the gross parts are over

PS. I wish there was a way you could pay half the price for the ticket and just stay for half the movie. This is getting to be an expensive habit…

          • Anonymous

You guys are sissies. I loved the icky parts! SPLOOSH! There goes the venom, fixing my ribs! I loved the blood on her teeth- so gross! She looked terrible, like she was supposed to, what with the Demon Death Baby and all. GAH when she was all stick legged and dead on the table. Loved! It! So scary. Am I the only Weird Italian Horror Movie fan in the hizzy?

            (probably, yes.)

          • Anonymous

Noooooo NutSlut, I am with you on the horror.

          • Anonymous

That is because you and I are awesome.

            UNRELATED:
Mr. Slut and I just had this conversation:
Mr.S: You are super good in the sack. Best ever.
Me: Will you please call Robert Pattinson and tell him that?
            Him: No.
Me: Please? He needs to know. Just in case.
Him: What if he does (thing I don’t like to do)
            Me: ….
Him: You Wouldn’t Care, Would You???
            Me: I mean…a little?
Him: You are a terrible person.

          • Anonymous

Correction: you are an HILARIOUS person!

          • KStewBoy

So I am ENTIRELY alone in wanting to have been given a full body shot of Vampire Bella?!  Surely that cannot be.  Team Kristen – I mean Bella, Hello?  Anyone?

          • Anonymous

You’re such a boy, wanting everything at once.

We know she’s going to be fabulous so the anticipation just makes it better, just think we might be waiting a tad too long.

You’ll have to content yourself with the transformation tidbits on the DVD (as well as other curvy bits). Maybe pre-order a new pause key at the same time ;)

          • KStewBoy

A new Pause Key, eh?  I like that.  Good idea.
And I don’t need everything at once.  I can wait for super-ass-kicking Bella.  I just thought that the final shot of the movie, instead of just being that close up of her eyes opening all red and hungry (which was awesome) – could then have become a swirling Zoom-OUT to show her all fully recovered and awesome-sexy-looking on the table.  Then end the movie.  Just to make me feel better.  Warm and squishy.

          • Anonymous

At the end of the movie (the first time I saw it: Round Four tomorrow night!) my friend leaned over and said, “YOU CALLED IT!” because … well because I did. That last moment was *exactly* how I thought it would be. I think I shall call Bill and ask for a cut.

BTW! Listening to NPR this morning, they started off a piece about movies with: “Breaking Dawn has beat out newer movies this weekend to top the box office…” and then goes on to talk about some random re-enactment contest that has nothing to do with Twilight. Which. Was. AWESOME. SUCK IT, MUPPETS!!!!

          • Anonymous

So unfair! Muppets don’t open here til 10th February. I lurve them. After all, they did introduce me to vampire lust at a very young age – I’m the Count, I lurve to count!

      • Anabel

Julie, I get you. by now I think my whole family thinks I have a lover. I have been disappearing regularly – 5 times, but that’s normal, right ?- since the opening. As I’m a supercloseted fan because I’m chicken and have no wish to discuss my obsession with these films with haters, I’ve been giving random excuses all over the place. let’s see how this ends…

        • http://julie999.blogspot.com/ Julie S.

So normal! Christmas shopping is my new favorite excuse, especially since my movie theater is at the mall, so if I happen to pass out and need to be taken to the hospital (Edward-induced heart attack?), it won’t be weird when they tell my family they found me at the mall! Perfect!

Wishing everyone here the BEST Thanksgiving & Holiday Season ever! I heart you all so much!
BTW thanks for all the great info on Breaking Dawn…can’t WAIT for the DVD, so keep ‘em coming so I will survive til then!

    XO

    • MariaCecilia

After I watch it the fifth time I will probably be able to come here and give you  a blow by blow account of key scenes: “Then Edward said, and then Bella frowned and then Bella said, and then Jacob frowned, and then Jacob said, and then Rosalie frowned..” By the time you’re bored enough to scream it will be out on DVD!!

      • Anonymous

THANK YOU!!! I will take all I can get (TWSS)…I am soooo wanting to see this movie…I promise you can’t bore me with the details, I will forget them in short order, so keep them coming! :)

      • KStewBoy

5 times!?!  I am sooooo jealous.

    • Anonymous

Midnight_cyn I have only been looking at LTT for about a year and a bit so I don’t know you or your history, but I am saddened that you have to wait for the DVD to see BD.  I hereby dedicate my next visit to the cinema to see BD 1 to you x

      • Anonymous

THANK YOU!! :) I can’t wait to see it!!! From what I am hearing, it is awesome!!

        • Anonymous

It is. Really awesome. I am planning to go again this coming week. I am already excited for next Nov. Plan to invade Twi-tent city.

          • Anonymous

SO JEALOUS…After you go again make sure you come back & give me lots of details!! I don’t know if I am going to be able to hold on until the DVD comes out!! Torture, LOL…I wish I could pitch a tent right next to all the LTT ladies next Nov…we could have our own lil section!!! Oh that would be so cool….(I can dream can’t I?) !

Yesterday I had a job interview with a very young, very tiny, very pregnant lady. By tiny – I mean disturbingly skinny!  I am thankful that I refrained from asking her if she was pregnant with a half human half vampire demon baby that was stealing all her nutrients.  Because when she said “Do you have any questions?”, I’m pretty sure she meant about the job . . .

Oh, and thank you LTT for all the laughs and the much needed distraction from RL.

    • MariaCecilia

I hope you slipped a folder about abusive teenage relationships into her handbag, just to play it safe..?

    • http://julie9.blogspot.com/ Julie S.

Aww where’s the nosy Brazilian housekeeper when you need her! She would’ve asked for you

Hmm. Reading a series of YA books over and over; seeking out any tidbits of information to do with related films; checking out websites instead of sleep; explaining relevances to 11 year olds; seeing skin-tones in the snow…

And just when I thought I’d be checking into a formal institution,
I found out I was normal *sob*

    Luv yas, luv yas all!

From an Aussie wedged on English soil I give many many thanks for the LTT folk
PS I knew it was fate: LTT are my initials

    • MariaCecilia

Okay..so “sisterpenguin” is really pronounced like “letterstotwilight” in Australian English? The intricacies of the English language has never ceased to baffle me since I found out St John was pronounced “Sínjon”..

      • Anonymous

Yep. It’s not an Australian accent unless your nasal septum is vibrating. I grew up with it and it still confuses the Hale outa me

        • TeamSeth

It’s not Australian unless it’s vibrating?  NOW I know why I find Aussie men so hot…

    • The Old One

I thought maybe you were a Catholic nun–I went to a college that was affiliated with a Dominican convent, and some of the sister still wore the full black-and-white nun’s habit.  Hence the nickname of the college’s sports team:  the Penguins.  I kind of enjoyed thinking of a nun with a Twilight fixation.

      • Anonymous

It’s an old nickname with vague Catholic/Death Race 2000/Bloom County connotations (don’t ask) that kicked in whenever Eddie talked about taking Bella to Antarctica post vamping: “penguins, ugh”.

        But don’t be disheartened – I do know a Twi-nun

I’ll second that…..I’m currently listening to the BD soundtrack-God I love “Turning Page”. I paid particular attention to where it came in the Movie at my 3rd viewing on Tuesday [Sydney time] and it’s played twice ! Wedding and sex scene [that's for your info. Midnight_Cyn. You're going to LOVE the DVD when you see it].

“Happy Thanksgiving” to all in the US-special “Thanks to UC and Moon”-we LOVE you girls xxxx

  • MariaCecilia

I’m really grateful I’ve got you guys to help contain all my crazy!! We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving over here but maybe we should celebrate the fact that all those crappily dressed people got out of Europe and took their weird eating habits across the pond? ;-) I’m in bed with a cold and the BD soundtrack and will be enjoying a garden burger for dinner..have a lovely holiday!!

  • Anonymous

Moon and UC – have a very happy Thanksgiving!  We have so much to be thankful for.  Your “nonsense” makes me smile, laugh, and sometimes wet myself just a little (hey I’m old and I’ve had three kids).  It’s a little sunshine into my day. Have fun shopping at Hot Topic – it’s a one-stop-shop for everyone on your list!

Congrats on getting back to work..SO PROUD OF YOU!! :) Yes Brain Injuries TOTALLY SUCK!! I was recently told that I need to start “accepting” the fact that I am as good as I am going to get…I basically said under my breath: “I will never accept anything of the sort” and walked out the door. :) I might even have given them the “salute” but can’t remember LOL!!
I think of you too..email me sometime so we can catch up! I want to hear all about work, family, holiday plans etc., HUGE HUG!!

Thankyou for obsessing over that Vanity Fair video and embarking on a search to discover if there were more normal people out there just like you!! You’ve been our lifeline to normality! I’m pretty sure some of us could have become 2nd-hand embarrasements if you hadn’t been here to keep us from jumping to the other side of that normal fence! ;)
Love you guys and all the readers/commenters!

    • MariaCecilia

Is it weird that when you wrote “obsessing over that Vanity Fair video” I first thought you were referring to the cut out extras in the movie Vanity Fair featuring Rob at 17? *blushing*

  • The Old One

OK, this is completely off-topic:  I was watching some promo interviews, and there was one with a Vietnamese lady interviewer where all the subtitles and film titles in the clip were in Vietnamese.  Apparently “Breaking Dawn” in Vietnamese is “Hung Dong”.  I just had to share that. Normal.

    • MariaCecilia

And a guy on the bus kept talking on the phone about seeing the movie “Breaking Down”…*rolling eyes*

      • TeamSeth

Shh, clearly he reads LTT. Breaking it Down… basically the same thing.  (waves to Unicorn)

    • Anonymous

And I just flicked on the tv to 4Music – they’re playing “Twilight Top 10: The Soundtrack”

      It’s a Twi-world after all

I’m thankful for that Team Turkey manip.  And that I got to see the movie the first day it was open.  And that it avoided skeeviness and provided laughs both intentional and unintentional.

Just read this morning that BD has taken $12 million at the box office in the 6 days it’s been showing in Australia. Not bad for a country of only around 22 million people.
