I saw #SWATH and keep hashtagging it #SWATCH

Dear Kristen Stewart,

I just saw #SWATH for the first time and thought the following things, in no particular order:

1. YUM

2. ALSO YUM and equally IS HE THE TEACHER ON PRETTY LITTLE LIARS?

3. Even Charlize can’t look good old

4. (Thankfully she’s not that old) SHE IS GORGEOUS

5. SMELL THE FART ACTING

6. I HAVE TO PEE

7. Scandalous

8. HUMINA HUIMINA

9. I LOVE LITTLE BRAIDS

10. I’d like a Fairy please

And that’s what I thought!!

Love,
UnintededChoice

In case you care about my thoughts sans pictures: I thought it was entertaining, slightly too long because if I can’t get through a movie without almost peeing my pants (FYI I had 2 sips of water) that usually means it’s too long. Kristen did a good job. Not really any complaints even though I really did think the phrase “Smell the Fart Acting” (google it) in the middle of the movie. Charlize was great & creepy. The boys were hot and I was having a hard time deciding who she should end up with, and was relived I didn’t have to choose (until I remembered there is a sequel & I guess I will (and Snow White will) have to choose eventually) #SWATCH, I mean #SWATH

What did you think!?

Our internet game is ridiculous: LTR, The Forum, Twitter, The Store
  • MrsKowski

You mean she DOESN’T end up with the huntsman??? Now I don’t want to see it. Thanks.

    • MariaCecilia

Hey, didn’t you know they’re already planning the sequel? Part two: the Huntsman leaves her, then comes back. Part three: Snowwhite is confused and maybe wants the prince, then agrees to marry the Huntsman. Part four: wedding and honey moon!! Winning concept all around.

      • MarbleNutSlut

         *snortlaugh*

  • MarbleNutSlut

he’s way hotter as a Huntsman than as a Norse God.

    • ladyofthemeadow

I’d have to see him bare chested to determine if he’s hotter as a Huntsman than a Norse God.

Scratch that, hell, he’d just look hot nekkid. Please.

      • MarbleNutSlut

Let’s see if we can get a research grant.

        • MariaCecilia

Believe you me, Norse Gods have been thoroughly researched already, with and without clothes. You’ll just have to fund your own perverted musings!

    • JellyBeanRainbow

He’s the hottest man in the universe, if you ask me

( hello, People magazine > sexiest man alive title should be his) ( Also, sorry, Rob, but I can’t help it, it’s stronger than me)

and it has nothing to do with the bare chest and huge arms, it’s the Norse God with Aussie accent combination that kills me every time.
      YUM indeed.

  • Nelle

After seeing it I really didn’t understand the bad reviews Kristen got. Especially how they crucified her for “sulking” (I didn’t see that) and a bad accent. I thought her accent was adequate. And although I thought Charlize was otherwise great, her English accent was horrible and the critics ignored that. Good movie- I’d give it 3 stars but not dying to rush out to see it again.

  • MariaCecilia

Oh,*eyes closed* no spoilers here, I’m going to watch the SWAT team perform tonight! And to be honest, I don’t think either of those hunks are going to ring my bell, but to each his own. I want to see the wicked Queen and her wicked special effects though! And I am still keeping an open mind on Kristen’s acting skills, although she seems to keep picking the frowning and lip-biting type of parts, doesn’t she? Hm. Back later for an update.

    • Sisterpenguin

      Yay Charlize, she doesn’t disappoint!

I kept an open mind with Kristen but still was left *meh*. Ok she didn’t bite her lip much (it’s a Bella characteristic anyway) but nothing to compel me to view anything else. One more chance in ‘On The Road’ and that’s it young lady

    • JellyBeanRainbow

      *spoiler*
she didn’t bite her lips once

and she was so pretty, no one was trying to hide it ( have you noticed, Summit)

      • MariaCecilia

Yay! No lip biting! And Kristen CAN be pretty, when they let her be and don’t cover her with mud..verdict still out on the acting, though, I agree with Sisterpenguin. Charlize and the scenography won, all round! Claflin and Helmsworth are respectively too meek/too rough around the edges to float my boat, like baby oil vs sand paper. Meh. And there were lots of musical/visual nods to LOTR, but I guess that’s inevitable?
*Spoiler*  Did you notice the New Moon moment, when she’s lying on the forest floor and the camera starts spinning? I was waiting for Sam to burst out of the bushes any moment…lol And when she was on the throne with eyes closed and then opened them, I was sure they were gonna be bright red.
        :-)

  • TeamJacobEdward

A friend and I went to see SWATH last weekend.  We both thought it was good.  Though we were a little ticked at the ending.  I won’t say why due to not wanting to spoil for those who haven’t seen it, but we felt robbed!!  Seriously.  Not cool.

Oh and when we left the movie we found out that both of us thought that Mr Hotman–um, I mean Huntsman was a bit older than Ms Snow, guessing he was mid 30s and therefore would be a May December romance should they get together.  And we were shocked to find out, when I looked him up on IMDB after the movie that he, indeed, was YOUNGER than we were and in his mid/late 20s.  I think it was the long hair, rugged face and all that made him seem older.  Or maybe the drunkard or loss of a previous wife.  IDK.  But we were both shocked.

    • Luludee

On being robbed: Dude, for real! Why even bring that aspect into the story at all, if you aren’t going to actually do anything with it? I felt cheated as well. Perhaps this will be resolved in the sequel? fingers crossed

      • TeamJacobEdward

Completely disappointing. A look? Really? That’s it?!

Seriously anti-climactic. :( So disappointed. If this I’d how others felt with BD (book) ending, I understand their complaints.

        The rest was good though.

  • http://letterstokristen.wordpress.com/ KStewBoy

I cannot convince Ms. KSB that I want to see this movie for reasons other than Ms. Kristen’s hotness… she will not come see it with me.  I am pouting.
Now I have to take an afternoon off work and see it by myself. I hear it’s looong.  Better pack 3 beers.

    • Sisterpenguin

It’s not as long as it feels but it’s fun

    • JellyBeanRainbow

It’s looooong, but so packed with Huntsman’s hotness and Ms Snow’s prettiness that there’s no time for popcorn  or dietCoke or beer

    • Luludee

Really? She’s not interested in it at all? Has she seen Chris Hemsworth before?? There must be a way to get her there!

      • The Old One

Yes, KSB, the Huntsman is the key!  Show her some pix, and she’ll no doubt take the bait.

        • http://letterstokristen.wordpress.com/ KStewBoy

Yes, yes – excellent advice ladies!  I believe you are onto something here…

But she also refused to watch Thor (good choice on her part), so I had to watch that mess on a plane.
Mr. Hunky Huntsman’s resume is kinda thin beyond SWATH and Thor.  Any recommendations?  Has he done any TV commercials?  Maybe for shampoo where he’s foaming up his hairy chest?

          • MariaCecilia

Ahem, so exactly when did you get a visual of his hairy chest? I’m intrigued…

          • http://letterstokristen.wordpress.com/ KStewBoy

She likes hairy chests – end of story.

          • The Old One

Maybe that’s the wrong tack to take–how about the guy-with-a-newborn-baby approach?  If this doesn’t do it, I don’t know what will…
            http://celebkids.whyfame.com/chris-hemsworth-debuts-daughter-india-2532

          • http://letterstokristen.wordpress.com/ KStewBoy

Ok, ok – this is worth a try… that doesn’t look like him much in that pic.  He’s so clean cut in that picture.  New Dad’s are never clean-shaven.  He must be a Don Draper type Dad. :)

          • MarbleNutSlut

             Clean shaven dads have nannies.

          • MariaCecilia

So, the five o’clock shadow is what new dad’s have in common with Don Draper?

          • http://letterstokristen.wordpress.com/ KStewBoy

Don Draper is always clean shaven – he always had a nanny. Sorry Maria, it was a terrible analogy.

      • TeamJacobEdward

Yes. Dangle a picture if mr hemsworth in front of her. She’ll change her tune. :)

    • MariaCecilia

You go and bring the beers, but tell the wifey she’s missing out if she’s at all into pretty scenery, costumes and fairy tale moments. Don’t fear the Huntsman, though, he’s too squinty-eyed and covered with dirt to be any real threat to your own renowned hotness! :-)

      • http://letterstokristen.wordpress.com/ KStewBoy

Oh don’t worry about me, Maria – I am going.  Probably this Friday afternoon.  I’ll have an “automobile emergency” that I’ll have to attend to.

        • MarbleNutSlut

           Cars. So unreliable.

          • MariaCecilia

Cars: not unlike men. Or vampires. Trust me.

  • Luludee

While I liked it, I must admit that I felt it was lacking. I just felt let down somehow. (I did not, however, know there is going to be a sequel, so now that you’ve told me, I feel better about it.)

    A few thoughts:

    – For my fellow Outlander fans, Chris Hemsworth = Jamie. I will be sure to superimpose his face in my mind’s eye during my next reading. Thoughts?

    – Charlize was obviously having fun being a villain and overdid it a bit IMO, and thus became less evil and more spoiled brat.

    – Nice Princess Mononoke ripoff with the white stag.

    • The Old One

Yes!  I have been mentally dyeing his hair red ever since I saw this movie, in preparation for his new role as Jamie!  As someone mentioned, he can look really young or much older, which will work great for the range of age needed in an Outlander production.  PLUS he has a younger brother who could easily play his son!  AND his Scottish accent isn’t too bad, and I’m sure it’ll get better after he has a sequel or two of SWATH under his belt.
They need to get to work on this pronto before he gets much older, though.  What the heck are they waiting for!

    • Bubs

Chris for Jamie-yes! Also for Christian in Fifty Shades [MoTU for those who read it on line] !!! He’s the right age/build/eyes [greyish/blue]-he could pull it off so well !!!!
I’d even put Kristen in for Anna. Can’t imagine anyone else, she’s the right age/colouring/build etc. etc. Well, after all it was Twi. fan fic. wasn’t it-silly me. Keep forgetting that-I didn’t get to read it until the books came out.

  • Adrienne

I was really cheering for KStew, I really was.  And she had moments of ok-ness.  But near the end she couldn’t avoid the bitchface and smelling the fart.  It made me sad.

Charlize hammed it up but who cares because she’s so beautiful – as cute as Kristen is it’s unfair to pit her up against Charlize and that was pretty much what I heard everyone saying in the theater.  And anyway, it doesn’t matter since Hemsworth is the only reason to see this.  He is officially my new boyfriend.  Hot and can act.  And he’s as cute as Rob used to be in interviews back in the early days!  Remember those?

  • Stacey

I kind have a thing for the younger Helmsworth, aka The Future Mr. Miley Cyrus, aka Gale.

I was all, “Hello there, Mr. Guy that Katniss doesn’t Kiss in Hunger Games.”

My friends laughed at me. :0(

    • JellyBeanRainbow

Seriously, Katniss, have you seen Gale’s lips?
      *shakes head in disbelief*

I kind of have a thing for both Hemsworths, I even know how to correctly write their family name ;)

      • MarbleNutSlut

         Just got back from SWATH.
Chris Helmsworth’s Frowny Face is ADORABLE.

Snow White meets LotR meets Joan of Arc. It’s a little long, but KStew is pretty. Pretty pretty KStew. Charlize is amazeballs, duh. KAPOW special effects!

YES, the New Moon references: roundy round down in the woods, jumping off cliffs…It all comes back to Twilight. It’s a wonder she didn’t do a voice over.

        • Luludee

Haha! That reminds me: I thought of everyone here when she went cliff diving – obviously an homage to New Moon. ;)

  • Bubs

Doesn’t get shown in Sydney until the end of next week [darn!]. At least Kristen n Chris will be here to promote it [eye candy all round].

However did get to see On The Road at the Sydney Film Festival over the weekend. It was really good. Didn’t expect the Movie to make sense, having read the book and not being impressed with it but it maed more sense than the book ever did for me [hubby enjoyed it too].

KStew was excellent [as were all the actors]. Academy Award type movie [imho]. There were nearly 2,000 in the Theatre and it was clapped at the end [it goes for around 2hrs 20mins. UC-don't sip any water !!!].

KStew Boy you’re going to love it !!!!!

    • MariaCecilia

Yes! On The Road opens  in August, and I’m def going to see that – but not a peep about when Cosmopolis will be coming around!! Scandalous! I just hope it’s on in the US when I go there at the end of the summer….*full pout*

      • Bubs

Cosmopolis opens in Sydney on 30th August [OTR doesn't officially get to the main Movie Theatres here until 4th October]. So if you want to give the US a miss and visit us instead……

      • anti

Cosmopolis will open in the US on August 17th!

        • MarbleNutSlut

           CAN’T. WAIT.

    • http://letterstokristen.wordpress.com/ KStewBoy

      CAN’T. WAIT.

  • anti

SWATH was dragging because nothing was happening but in the queen chamber, yeah CT stole the show while KS can’t close her mouth through the damm movie. Both KS and CH was just extending their roles form their previous movies. James franco gave the most  honest review ref KS.

  • twiprof

The Huntsman is just so pretty….even covered in dirt. mmmmmhmm
