New Faces Friday: Noel Fisher

Dear LTT,

Noel Fisher & LTT go WAY back. All the way back to June 2012 when we talked for hours and hours at dinner in LA (welllll more like we said “hey” and he said “hey” and then we snapped this photo that we both happen to be in)

LTT and Noel Fisher

So we literally know like ZERO about him. And since LTT readers tend to follow in our footsteps (I mean we ARE all in this together, right?) we’re guessing you don’t know much about Noel either. So today Team Twilight is hosting the interview with Noel, but here’s a little sneak peak:

Fansite interview with Noel Fisher (Vladimir)

It’s been a really good year for you professionally, with playing a great character on Shameless, and then the role of Cotton Top on Hatfields & McCoys. What made you pick a 3000 year old grumpy vampire? Why did you want that role?

I actually booked Twilight before Shameless or Hatfields & McCoys, but obviously the Twilight franchise is in a world of its own, a class of its own. It’s really really different from anything else I’ve ever done. And that’s something that I try and do with my parts, kind of pick parts that are really different from one another and I’m also just a huge geek at heart, too. I love vampire stuff, I love fantasy/sci-fi, and all that kind of stuff so it’s right up my alley. That was another lucky thing. I get to play like a 3000 year old bad-ass vampire. That’s awesome!

You filmed Hatfields & McCoys in Romania and you played a Romanian vampire in Breaking Dawn. Did you feel a special bond with the country when you were there filming?

I don’t know, I basically thought it was a really funny coincidence that I was going there just a few months after Twilight wrapped. I thought that was quite funny. We shot near Vlad the Impaler’s actual castle, which isn’t really a castle anymore. It’s basically a bunch of rubble now, but some of the drivers in Romania were telling us that just a few miles from where we were was a pile of rubble that was actually Vlad the Impaler’s old spot. So I thought that was kind of cool.

Hop on over to Team Twilight to read the rest!

Love,

UC & Moon

New Faces Friday: Marlane Barnes

Dear Twilight,

Today’s New Faces Friday features Marlane Barnes (She plays Maggie) the adorable girl in a black VINTAGE dress we interviewed on the Breaking Dawn Part 1 black carpet last Fall. I don’t think we ever shared this video because we’re lame:

The interview with Marlane is being hosted by Twilight Facebook, but you can read some of the first questions here:

Q: Your character Maggie knows when people are telling lies. Are you good at telling when people are lying to you in real-life?

Marlane: I like to think I’m a pretty good judge of character now. I feel like that’s one of the things that acting has done for me is you get to see when people are acting.

Q: Did Stephenie Meyer talk with you at all about your character?

Marlane: You know, I actually didn’t talk much with Stephenie about my character on set, I know that Lisa [Howard] did, but yeah I didn’t really get a chance to do that. I was interested that when I read the – cause you know she put out that comprehensive fan book – and I was interested to see that a lot of the choices I had made for Maggie were pretty similar to what she already had in mind, so I feel like we just kind of both knew… that we were on the same page.

Q: So did you fan-girl on her a little bit?

Marlane: You know, I actually had not read the books before I was cast. I read them once I was going to take the part in the film, so for me … Yeah, I don’t know, I guess I was a little afraid of her. She’s like this reigning queen of this huge world, and she’s very busy and was on set a lot doing very important things, so I just kind of had my brush-ins when I did and tried not to interfere the rest of the time. But yeah she’s really lovely and very sweet to everybody and very involved in the film, I think probably just as much as anybody else.

Head on over to Twilight Facebook to read the rest!

New Faces Friday: Patrick Brennan

Dear Patrick Brennan (Can we call you Pat?)

We got a chance to phone chat with you recently for the Twilight fansite feature: New Faces Friday and we learned that you, like your character Liam, are Irish and LOVE your Irish heritage. So before we get to the interview, here are (Lucky #7!)

7 Things we learned about Pat

  1. You could have been an extra in The Town (because of the way you sound & look)
  2. You’re CUTE adding to the list of drool-worthy Twilight cast members.
  3. You are, in fact, NOT from Boston and are not an Irish thug (although we wondered after hearing you talk…)
  4. You just had a baby daughter (We hope she doesn’t have super powers and grow extrodinarily fast and is named Nessie. Or falls in love with a werewolf. unless you’re into that sort of thing)
  5. You did not participate in wardrobe theft on the Breaking Dawn set (clearly someone didn’t get to know Rob Pattinson well enough)
  6. You forgot Taylor Lautner’s name because twice in the interview you said something along the lines of “Those 3– Robert Kristen and… those 3″ and finally said “Jacob” It’s okay. We call him Jacob too.
  7. (We learned this one from imdb) Some of your family members were/are movie stars. And we’re pretty sure your grandmother was a big movie star back in the day!

Interview with Patrick Brennan after the jump! Continue…

New Faces Friday: Angela Sarafyan

Dear LTT,

Here is all you ever wanted to know (and we know how much you’ve been wanting to know) about Angela Sarafyan who plays Tia in Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Who the H is Tia you ask? Good question. Tia is from the Egyptian coven & she mates with Benjamin. I mean he’s her mate. Whatever. Bella on Tia:

“Tia, Benjamin’s mate, was a quiet woman as well, though when she did speak there was great insight and gravity to everything she said.”

Does anyone get the feeling we’re gonna be REALLY CONFUSED with all these new characters while watching Breaking Dawn Part 2? Should we bring our Edward Cullen notepads to take notes during our first viewing? What if they give us all a Twilight fan test at the midnight showing after the movie is over? I will fail SO BAD.

So without further ado…. here is all you’ve ever wanted to know about Angela Sarafyan the gorgeous girl who plays Tia [Thanks to Erin from Twilightish who slaved all evening transcribing the fansites interview with Angela. YOU ARE THE BEST!]

With Stephenie Meyer being on the set did you get a chance to talk with her and get any new insight about your character Tia?

Angela:  I did. I did get a chance to talk to her. We actually spoke briefly about how she cam up with the character. And I don’t even know if it’s really coming up with but there’s just a little bit of a talk about how Benjamin and Tia came from poverty and kind of struggled until the met Amun and Kebi. It was interesting to hear her perspective on the character.

Was it nice having her there?

Angela: Ya, of course, it was kind of cool. It was like having a legend on set in a way. Because she wrote all those books and she came up with those stories. And then to actually meet the person that did that, that was kind of surreal. It was kind of surreal to be on that set in general.

How did you prepare for your role once you got cast? Had you read the series before hand?

Angela: No, I hadn’t read the series beforehand. Actually how I got ready initially was I saw the third film before my audition and was readying all your sites actually about everything twilight. Because I had a short time to get ready for the audition so basically it all started from you guys. There is so much information that you put out there. I felt fortunate to have all the sites available. After I heard I got the part, I had briefly read summaries of the books before the audition, then after that I read it. I read the full book and completely saw all the movies, and got a sense of the world I was coming into.

I was wondering if you could tell us what it was like seeing yourself in full out vampire gear the first time.

Angela: I didn’t know what it was going to look like. It was trippy. It was, I don’t look anything like that. I was really cool because I don’t look anything like my character in the movie at all. From my hair to my makeup, to the clothes that I wear, I don’t look anything like it. I even think I look, there’s this picture out now of all the vampires, and I don’t even think it looks like me. That picture, she looks Egyptian. It’s crazy that this transformation happened. It was cool to finally play a character that didn’t look anything like me.

I was wondering, since you are Egyptian do you use an accent or how you make your voice a little different?

Answer: Nothing was different. There’s a slight accent, but everything was just really subtle and real. Also  with our looks we’re really different from the other vampires. Just so you know. We are all golden. We are not white. Being Egyptian, that is one of the things that stood out. We look really good. So there wasn’t anything too extreme about it. Which I liked. I think it kept it real. As real as a vampire is.

What was it like coming into such an established set? What was it like to feel like the new kid?

I think that I had that experience initially, but what’s interesting is that there was so many of us that we became the people that everyone else was gonna try to fit into. There were so many vampires and so many actors there. Initially it was… I am trying to think of the correct word because the very first scene that we shot was at the Casbah , and I remember just going on that set and seeing Elisabeth Reaser and their faces that I’d seen posters of and these faces that I’d seen in the films. I couldn’t digest it. I couldn’t look at it and go oh whatever, who cares, they are just actors, it was surreal. The whole thing was completely surreal. I remember I came on set the day before we were shooting, or two days before, and I saw Kristen sitting there, and I was like that’s the girl. There’s the face that I’ve been seeing and hearing everywhere. There’s that little head. It was interesting to finally see them in the flesh. It was not as intimidating as you think. Just a very crazy thing to see these things for real.

When you came into this, who were you most excited to work with?

Angela: I was looking forward to meeting Rami because he was going to play my man. I know technically I should be excited to meet Kristen and Rob and all those cats and I was happy to meet them, I really was, but I think that most excited about it was meeting Rami because we were going to be mates, as vampires can be. We were mates. I didn’t know who he was and it was a lovely surprise. It was just a great surprise. I think when you see the film, you will think that we are a couple, which is cool. We really found what was special between us.

Whose idea was the photo pose for the EW Comic Con photo booth?

Angela: It just happened. Nobody had an idea. I went and I stood there and we didn’t know what to do. It just happened.

It was really good.

Angela: Thanks, I love that picture too.

What was the most challenging part of playing this role?

Angela: I don’t think it was challenging actually. I didn’t find it to be very challenging. I kinda just took everything from one moment to the next. I don’t know, I would think that the right answer was that it wasn’t really challenging, it was fun. It was interesting and fun to approach based on the world that was being created. If that makes any sense. Because I didn’t know really what I was walking into, so everything was kind of created in the moment. I had ideas, but those ideas can be thrown out the window once you walk on a set, and you see what’s really going on. So then you create in the moment, which makes it more exciting. It wasn’t a challenge, so it was more fun than difficult in any way working on this part. Creating real relationships and building the characters from there. I guess, ultimately. And there were pleasant surprises along the way. There are pleasant surprises because you don’t know who you are going to meet. So when you have connections with other actors, like Kristen and I and Rob and Rami and Omar and a lot of us had real connections. People had real chemistry. It was surprising that those things happened and I was happy for them. And you create friends as well.

Bet you didn’t know all that, right!?

Love,
Unintendedchoice

Thanks again to Erin!

New Faces Friday: Tracey Heggins

Yep– I’ve been absent this week– with Moon still gone… I slipped into a deep beach coma with my family. I’ve done NOTHING. and it’s been amazing. But have no fear– here is your New Faces Fridays. Back next week with MOON to continue the LTT fun:

Interview with Tracey Heggins who plays Senna in Breaking Dawn Part 2

Read the entire interview over at Twilight Series Theories

Tracey: Hi! How are you guys?

Great!

Tracey: I am excited to talk to you guys!

Q: We just saw the posters of you and Zafrina. The other actors have talked about what they first thought when they saw themselves. What was your first reaction when you saw the hair and the make up, and the outfit and the eyes?

Tracey: Roar! (sound) That is exactly what I thought! Whoa! This has an earthy, sexy quality to it, so I was all for it. It’s very exciting!

Q: Speaking of what you look like… You are baring a lot in your outfit. I’m wondering if you had to diet or work out? What was your regiment?

Tracey: Yeah! I have to work out. I’m a hippy girl… I have hips and curves. Literally, when I had the fitting, I had a King Size Snicker bar in my purse. After I had seen the outfit, on my way out, I dropped it into the trash can.

(Laughing)

I was, like, Oh, no, no, no, no! But yeah, I do a lot of yoga. And, on set it was easy to be disciplined because Kellan Lutz is up there working out all day long, and the rest of them were fighting to get to the gym before shoot time. So, you know, it was a lot of camaraderie at the gym because we were all on camera.

Back to the beach!
