She Did it!

Hannah Curlee & Olivia Ward

Hannah Curlee & Olivia Ward: Sisters, Biggest Losers, LOVE!

Dear Olivia,

I can’t tell you HOW EXCITED I was to watch you become THE BIGGEST LOSER last night on live television. Once you & Hannah were officially the last two at the top (Although Irene looked GREAT!) I started getting SO nervous…. Was this it!? Were you REALLY going to do it?

And you did! From 261 lb to 132 lb- you changed your life- much more than just your body.

You are beautiful. You were before & you are now. Everyone at LTT is SO proud of you. I am only sad that Moon wasn’t in the US to watch it live with me. And by that I mean, watch it 3 hours later than I did since she’s on the West Coast & I’m on the East.

CONGRATS & you’re paying next time we go out for drinks (*wink*)

<3,
UC

PS: Mr. Choice is kinda upset you didn’t accept his FB friend request from long ago so he said he won’t celebrate your win. #he’smean

Don’t Forget: The Biggest Loser Finale tonight

Last time we saw Olivia (on TV) at 149 pounds!

Dear Twilight,

Don’t you DARE forget to watch LTT friend Olivia on The Biggest Loser Season 11 FINALE tonight!

If you haven’t been watching, Olivia & Hannah made HISTORY as the first sisters to make it to the finale. They are the TOP TWO!!! One more contestant (Either Jay or Irene) will join them tonight in the final competition. I have NO idea how it happens as I’ve never watched before, but I’m SOOOOOO EXCITED to see how Olivia looks. (PS Moon got to spend some time with her a few weeks back- LUCKY! They went out to eat. They had salads. DUH!)

Anyway, Olivia is a big Twilight fan so that’s reason #1 you should watch. And furthermore she is OUR friend. Met first online through LTT then in real life. We’re SOOOOOO EXCITED to see her tonight (well, I am. Moon is in Europe. Bitch)

GO OBIRD!

Xoxo,
UC & EVERYONE AT LTT!

PS: It’s on in the US at 8pm ET on NBC. DO IT DO IT DO IT!

Edward Cullen sightings in Missouri

Dear Twilight,

Earlier in the year we heard from Jessica about a phenomenon occurring in Blue Springs, Missouri:

While shopping at my local grocery store this weekend I noticed a display of my newest sweet tooth craving…. Twizzlers. As I walked around the rather large display to the front of it, I noticed something, NAY, some one shares the same affinity as myself for the awesome red candy!

It is important to add that this is a full size cutout standing in the middle of all these boxes, and somehow I doubt that Twizzlers would be the product of choice were he to have a say in the matter…

It’s not the only appearance he has made. The other week he was selling Sun Drop soda! I sign next to him says “A drop of sun will make you sparkle like me.”

We want to sell you Kale

And a few weeks later Jessica wrote again:

Our Edward has made another appearance. This time he isn’t selling anything, just looking down from the 2nd floor balcony with a Justin Beiber cutout next to him. It’s funny because birds like to find their way into the store and their new favorite perch is Edward’s head…. My dad said to the cashier the other day “There’s a little pecker on Edward’s head.” Kudos to dad for knowing who he is… Epic fail for the cashier who didn’t even crack a smile.

But then sadly:

Bad news… Edward was shat upon and has therefore been sequestered into an interior chamber at the store for cleaning. I know cardboard is not submersible but I could possibly come up with some sort of moisture barrier… I will keep you updated on any sightings henceforth as now that he is sparkling (hehe) clean, they will for sure want to show him off somehow. I have an idea, he could sell us dog treats! I must phone the grocery store at once!

The sighting in Blue springs got me thinking about all the places I’ve seen Edward: Hot Topic & FYE music store in the mall (Did I ever tell you about the time that the mall cops yelled at me for taking a picture of the cutout in Hot Topic (This was before I knew what “normal” was!) and made me delete it from my phone? (I tweeted it quickly first. I rule) And Edward is, of course, in the background of all the pictures you all send us of your bedrooms (don’t TRY To tell me that you’re teenage daughters room!) But I don’t see Edward in NEAR enough places! I live in a MAJOR CITY. Edward should be all over the place. Like the Rocky Statue:

(True story: I’ve never seen it. I don’t care) Or on top of city hall, hanging with William Penn:

And a TON more people would visit the Liberty Bell if Edward was nearby:

And I’d SERIOUSLY reconsider my 10 year foray as a vegetarian & partake in a Philly cheesesteak if Edward was selling them!

Love,
UnintendedChoice

Has Edward been anywhere interesting in YOUR town? Think the marketing gal (obviously!) at the grocery store in Blue Springs, MO is an LTT reader? Where have you spotted one of the Twi-charcters cut outs!?

After the jump, an important announcement! Continue…

A Unicorn Strikes again

Dear Twilight,

In case you forgot:

Unicorn: A rare mystical creature only rumored to exist but highly sought after. Like a a guy who likes Twilight.

It’s been so long since we’ve heard from one that I almost forgot they existed. Until….. we got this email:

Dear LTT,

First of all, congrats on your life altering hangout session with Steph. I would have vomited as many times as Stephenie addressed me had I been there.

I decided to check out your website after seeing that you guys were picked to be thrown blindfolded in a van to meet the vampire mother.

I have to say that I am troubled to find out from your letters that I am alone in this world. I am a man. Married with 2 kids and one on the way. Surely it cannot be a rare thing that someone like me absolutely breathes and lives Twilight in his life. Are you saying that I will likely never encounter another male twihard in my life. Sure, I’ve never met one but I always thought it was because I just don’t have many guy friends to begin with. I have never been ashamed of Twilight and although in the deepest part of my subconscious I realize the book was made for middle school screaming tweens, I have never felt ashamed for loving a universe I dream of being real. Your letters, however are a forbidden fruit that has unlocked the knowledge of good and evil. I never noticed all the females surrounding me in the garden. I never noticed that I am the only guy there! And even though everyone else is properly dressed with their team Jacob and Edward shirts and jorts, I am the only one naked.

Little do you know that my heart stands strong for Edward and Jacob, and little will dismay my pride in their story. I may not feel for RPatt and TLaut the way a hormonal teen girl exudes, but my devotion will remain. I will continue buying my TwiPhone covers, and TwiDolls. I will unwearyingly buy my daily theater ticket for one. I will purchase all the Twilight movie guides and read the special Twilight edition People at the front of the bus. And I will stand proud in line to get the first BD tickets as the sun’s rays rise to light up my shimmer glitter on my face. I will continue to cry out in one voice with all my sisters for Midnight Sun.

Even if I am the only straight male twitard on the planet, I will embrace all of you as my own family. The question is will you accept me as the only brother?

¿El Único? (the only one?)

I immediately emailed ¿El Único? back to WELCOME HIM TO THE LTT FAMILY!

Read more from the newest sighting of the rare Mythical Unicorn after the jump! Continue…

We gon’ party like it’s Moon’s birthday

Dear LTTers,

Once upon a time, on May 9th, 1982 to be exact, Mama Moon went into labor. I’m not sure if that was a natural labor, one induced by drugs or if it was long, hard (ugh TWSS) easy or quick. But I know that the labor produced Moon. And life has never been the same.

Moon grew up in Arizona, mere minutes from where a young Stephenie Meyer was imagining the perfect mate who would turn into the fictional Edward Cullen. Coincidence that years later Moon would write about this Edward Cullen & obsess over the man who plays him on film? I think not.

A lot of “stuff” happened in the next few years. Ya know, normal stuff like growing up, learning how to read & write (things that would become very important for a future hobby) and being exposed to great music. Some of Moon’s favorites were: N’Sync, Jimmy Eat World & The Beatles. This love for music led her to a teeny, tiny college in Oklahoma that would surely not prepare her for a career in the music business. But young adulthood is for making silly decisions we don’t understand later in life. And thankfully the lack of provision the teeny, tiny school provided led Moon to look elsewhere to prepare her for her dream job. This led her straight into my arms. Well, sorta.

BFFs FOREVER (but not for like 5 years)

On September 7th, 2002, Moon landed on the tiny island of Martha’s Vineyard to join a group of 30 students for a music “colony” for one semester. Some were there to become better musicians, some were there to produce, some were there to make out with the guy who was assigned as her producer and others were there to manage the careers of the musicians. Moon was there on the management track. [I'll let you guess who the one was who made out with the producer (and the name of that lucky producer*).] This little island was much like another small town we know. It was dead on the off season. There was a diner in town where everyone frequented. The winter was dark. Handsome vampires ran around wooing the objects of their affection. Okay, that didn’t happen but both Moon & I went on to not speak more than 2 sentences to each other the entire semester. But a few years into the future we became the dearest of friends & later started a popular Twilight blog. We have a dreary winter in West Tisbury, Massachusettes to thank!

The story goes that after Moon graduated & was “figuring things out” at her parents house back in Arizona & I was stuck at the world’s worst job scanning financial documents, we rekindled our acquaintanceship & started realizing how dumb we were for not becoming bff’s years before. We had the same taste in men (Adam Brody helllooo) an affinity for Pop Culture & bad/awesome Pop Music. And then one day, a day that will go down in the history books (that no one will read) we realized we both were obsessing a little too much over this Twilight thing & Robert Pattinson. You know the rest. But do you really KNOW Moon? Find out MORE & Celebrate with me, after the jump! Continue…
