For the first 6 weeks I work 8am - 5pm so I won't be able to be online with you gals during the day anymore. Unless I discover that during down time we can do whatever. Please know that even though I won't be here during the day that I will still be here to help start daily topics and I will still be here period! I don't want to lose touch with anyone! Those of you who are so great about sending me texts during the day with alerts like you always have, keep doing it! I will probably have my cell off and in my purse vs on and on my desk like I did at my last job, LOL, so if you text me and don't hear back from me until the end of the day don't feel I'm ignoring you, I can get back to you on lunch hours and after work.

Nikra, enjoy your 6 weeks off! I know I sure did! It goes so fast! I totally got use to it!

And I've already started saving for LA for Breaking Dawn premiere! So who's ever in with me, let's do it!!!

Oh Jena! You're not going to lose touch with anyone. Lots of us visit in the evenings. Plus, it's summer so I find that I don't visit as much during the day. I'm more likely to come on later, after the kids have gone to bed. Plus, you know if something major happened, we would text you. ;)

Good luck on your job! I know the first couple of weeks are hard, getting used to everything and everyone. But you'll be fine and do great! And you have us to look forward to when you get home. I mean, what could be better than that?

My love of the Vanity Fair show is no secret. But other favorites include London NM and Rome (gah!) I do like the WFE haircut, but his hair in these shots just makes me come totally undone!

Jena - we are in Des Moines. How cool that you are in Omaha! Not that KC is a rockin' metropolis like NYC or anything, but it has taken a little getting used to being here. My husband took a job with Pioneer, which if you are anything like me, meant nothing to me before we got here...it's a farm thing. ;) I was lucky enough to be able to transfer with my company in KC, so the job thing for me wasn't too traumatic. Looks like you are starting a new one tomorrow - good luck! I can't be here during the day either. That means I have to wait all day to get my Rob updates. Boo!

The phoenix heat is so good to my hair. I have naturally wavy hair...it def curls up, gets frizzy in the humidity. BUt my hairstyle is straight right now so curling up is NOT good. DH is looking for work on the east coasts (he's from there and his family is there). I like the idea of moving there except for the fact that I'll have to change my hairstyle....no way can I have straight hair like I do now. ugh!

So as many of you know from twitter, bf, after 7 years, finally popped the question :D :D

I knew it was coming because about a month ago when we were in nyc we went to an antique jewelry store in soho and of course we weren't actually intending to buy, just to look around, but we found THE ring and didn't want to let it go. I went back this past Saturday to pick up the ring.

Bf is well aware of my Twiobsession which has been in full force since Eclipse, so really it's been an Eclipseobsession, which he likes to rag on me about. Friday night bf and I were sitting on the couch and he says to me well you might as well just wear the ring after you pick it up tomorrow since I can't think of anything romantic to say/do. I had previously made it clear that I didn't want anything elaborate and didn't want an audience. So we're sitting on the couch and on comes a tv spot for Eclipse and I told him that if he needed inspiration he should read chapter 20 of Eclipse  as many of you know the proposal scene and Edward's actual line is my favorite line in the whole series (see my siggie :) )

So this afternoon he comes out of his man cave and hands me Eclipse and says "is this the right part?" I open the book and this is what I see

Image

then he very simply just got down on one knee and asked me to marry him (I guess he couldn't actually bring himself to say the line   ) It was all very sweet and simple and I loved it :D :D :D

Image

The ring is antique, from the 30's, it's art deco and I absolutely adore it

toooldforthis wrote:Nice! I do love flower gardens. I thought I saw you mention pumpkins before, so I thought it was a vegetable garden. (I have never had luck with pumpkins :? ) I wish I had the space for a flower garden and a veggie garden. Right now I have a flower bed in the front of my house and a veggie garden on the side. But we don't really have a backyard, as we border a forest in the back and one side. Some day....some day.

Pumpkins can be tricky. I had a year where I grew 14 pumpkins and I had a year where I grew none. You have to wait until the ground has warmed up and they want lots of manure. They want lots of sunshine and they don't like to get cold. If you have cool, humid nights like we do you have to make sure not to water them at night. When you water them, make sure to water their vines, too, since they also suck up water. Try them again sometime. they are my favorites to grow!

No way Gianna! I know all about Pioneer - I'm in agricultural research as well. I've actually looked into jobs with them. So you moved to corn central BECAUSE of the corn!

Good luck with the job starting tomorrow Jena!!! You'll do wonderfully. And just to echo the sentiments of others, we'll be here when you get home! That's one of my favorite parts of being here - we are almost 24/7 around here (not quite though, as I'm sure robz would agree  )
