Boo! for being home sick. But YAY! for not being at work.

Not too sure how amusing I am today - unless you count my fabulous rolling ankle and crash of this morning. I did call and set up a dr appointment to have my foot/ankle evaluated to see what is going on there. It has a lovely bump (showed up some time ago) and it hurts. I've been trying to ignore it and delaying going to see the doctor, but it looks like it has to be done sooner, rather than later. I broke the damn thing in a car crash on the way to the senior prom way back in May of 1982. Two surgeries and 3 pins later . . . and it still hurts when it is going to storm. I can live with that, but this rolling and falling business, not so much.

I'm sorry that you are feeling under the weather. Is it a stomach flu? Or just the flu flu?

I hope you've at least put an ice pack on it and propped it up on something! And if your appointment isn't for today make sure you ice it tonight and have Mr. A pick up an ace bandage for you so you can stay off it as much as possible.

I'm not sure what kind of hell this is, but without getting into the gory details it is some kind of gastrointestinal distress. Started out Saturday with malaise, then Sunday morning a massive migraine was added, then the.. distress. I'm not nauseated anymore and I'm HUNGRY and I want to eat EVERYTHING, but since nothing is staying in my stomach I'm avoiding almost everything. Yesterday I had broth. Today I've managed to eat some oyster crackers and a few bites of bread with nothing too bad happening, so fingers crossed that maybe tomorrow I can move up to rice!

PS. Pedialyte is DISGUSTING. Holy fuck.

Alex, That ankle better get better because I bought my train tickets this morning. Will it be weird if I accidentally call you Alex when I see you?

The unfortunate part is that the train people will be doing maintenance on the tracks so half of my trips will be via bus. The good news is that the tickets were cheap and riding a bus doesn't really bother me. Plus I will have Outlander audiobooks to keep me occupied and maybe bus ridin' will give me some good stories to regale you all in the Flat when I get back.

The other unfortunate part is that I will be arriving 5 hours before Alex and will have to entertain myself in a strange town until she gets there (she has the hotel room). Maybe I will bring some Flat FLAT MATES and take strange photos of you all while I wander about.

Good news!! I just looked on a map and the hotel is just 5 blocks from a library so I will have access to books, the free use of computers, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and bathrooms. If they have a comfy chair I should be set.

So everyone needs to get better. NOW!

YES PLEASE!! TravelRob is getting lonely with only lil' ole me!! Take him out, will ya?

You both have safe travels, have fun and REPORT BACK!!!

I had a blast last weekend with my girlfriends at the rented beach house we stayed at. We had an AMAZING dinner, fabulous spa day and lovely time chatting on the beach. Even got a bit of sun even though it was 64F! I was cracking up b/c we NEVER EVER get a chance to chat by ourselves, so with no hubbies or kids around, our conversation went straight to the gutter almost immediately, LOL!

Muffin Yay for a fun girls' weekend!!!

I have tomorrow off and I am so excited!! for those of you who are grumbling, I have to work Saturday and Sunday so it is my only day off for the entire week.

I informed my husband, that what I REALLY want for Mother's Day is a STARZ subscription starting Aug 9th and that we can unsubscribe after 4 months....until the season premiere of Outlander starts again Aug of 2015...and so on...
So I think that's a go. $12.99 a month for some Scottish Love...so worth it.

Amy - You've got quite the amazing idea there, I think I'll inform my husband that I want that too, hmmm....Enjoy your day off!

UPDATE - a friend on FB says you can just buy episodes off of amazon after they air. I think I might do that instead, that way I'll *own* the episodes rather than just pay for the cable. Either that or talk my neighbor into using her DVR since she has Starz.

Yay! I'm excited that you have your tickets! Sorry about the bus ride - but with JAMMF to keep you company, hopefully the trip will go quickly and yes, bus rides usually result in interesting stories. Sorry that I'm getting in so late, I should've checked in with you before I booked the ticket. Thank goodness the library is close by.

My foot/ankle is feeling much better and I have been wearing a wrap/brace thing on my ankle. The soonest I could get into see the foot specialist at the orthopedic practice is May 23rd. So I am heading there in the afternoon after I get back from St. Louis.

I was excited to see they've finally announced when Outlander will start on Starz. August isn't too far off, I guess. I also told my husband to make sure we have Starz by Aug 9 at the latest. He will call the cable company and try to get some kind of deal. He's pretty good at that. We have almost every premium cable channel known to man, except Starz and whatever they bundle with it. Hopefully, he can combine them and get a deal. Either way, I need Starz in August.

Just tell the cable company you're thinking of switching because you were sent a better rate from a competitor and see if they will take your bill down or add a channel. But I need to know about other things he does to get good deals.

Muffin, how much will the episodes be? because if they are more than $3 an episode and there's 4 episodes a month then that is $12 and i would rather pay the monthly charge and see it THAT NIGHT and then maybe buy the season after it comes on DVD.

I'm just happy to have something to look forward to...beside my trip to see Alex.

I'm wondering about this - I just took a look in amazon, for another Starz show, and its not showing as available any of this seasons shows. Hrmph. Last season shows are $0.99 each.

Sigh. Perhaps I *will* have to get Starz. Or mooch off my neighbor... :?

Shit shit shit shit shit! I checked a few months ago and Amazon had Spartacus in progress! But I just checked Da Vinci's demons and it isn't available. I really really really hope that changes because I have no other way to watch it! This is how I watch The Walking Dead and a couple other shows since I don't have cable :? :?

I have an important announcement to make:

The trash room is NO LONGER THE TRASH ROOM! All the trash is GONE. There are still some things to go to Goodwill and some things to go to recycling, but the trash is out.

Now, to get everything dusted, washed, and organized.

That is all.

COngrats!! what is the clean room now called?

My kid came and got some of his furniture out so I now have a "spare room" which will soon become the trash room if I don't have a plan soon. It would be exciting if it weren't for the fact that rest of my house is so unorganized that it is my last priority. The smart awesome me should walk around my house and put all the extra clutter in a laundry basket (read: 12 laundry baskets) and donate to goodwill (like the awesome Jodie did) and then have a clean looking organized house. But since I haven't had one of those since NEVER, i wouldn't hold your breath.

Today, I went to my mom's and built a wood fence (but only 8 ft long) and installed fence (we had to do some fancy sawing to make it fit over a man hole cover that sits partially in her yard...for some strange reason). There is a mean dog that lives next door and it terrorizes my mom's dogs...UNTIL NOW!!!!

My favorite part of the day was when I was crouched under this bush sawing off part of the branches so the fence would be flush to area....and my mom says "i need to do something about that area there. Katie (one of her dogs) likes to lay under there and I'm always worried she's going to get ticks on her."
Me: you mean the bush I've been under for the past 20 minutes?
Mom: I'm sure you'll be fine...
Me: thanks.

HAHA! At the very start of your story my first thought was "That's brave.. I'd be afraid of ticks." I'm so tick paranoid that I don't even go onto the lawn without long sleeves and knee socks. Did you have the DH give you a thorough tick check?

The room has actually been called Marlowe's room since he decided to spend the last several weeks of his life in there. Eventually, (and by eventually I mean no sooner than next autumn) I would like to make that my bedroom. But that means getting rid of MOAR STUFF.

you know how there are sports bars and everyone comes to watch football games? I'm sure if a bar advertised that they would have a OUTLANDER night starting Aug 9th that the bar would be packed full of women. They could serve half price whiskeys and ale to anyone wearing plaid....and have pocket Jamie coasters.

(note to self: buy bar before Aug 9th)

Although I didn't technology "clean" I did do a ton and a half of laundry yesterday. The kind of day where you actually fold, hang and put stuff away... So today when I got ready for work, I had several pants and shirts and CLEAN BRAS to choose from. It's how I imagine rich people living.

Frickin finally. I don't know if it's my computer or this site but I have been trying to get in here for awhile now but the site won't load. I keep getting Gateway timed out forever. I decided to try again today and it only took 45 minutes to get to this point. Not acceptable at all and that's one of the reasons that I have been gone for so long.

How is everyone doing? I miss you guys. Things here are mostly status quo, though I did have to put my dog down in March. Still trying to comes to terms with that. I do have some more answers to my health problems. After a three day hospital stay with my brain hooked up to electrodes and a MRI with contrast, there are a few problems up there in my brain-no jokes please, I've heard them all already. Long story but once again I'm on new meds and have to see 3 more drs. for some of the problems. Good news is that I was finally given clearance to drive. I haven't driven since August.

Catch me up please.

I know most of you guys has moved on from Rob. But if you want a place to still perve on the man, there is a new FB group that I am a part of. It's so much easier to post on there. If you are interested just shoot me a pm and I'll add you. Today is Rob's birthday so we are sharing stories of how we became Rob fans.

You know me-gotta post some Robporn so I'll post some birthday wishes to Rob. Nuts, I forgot you have to resize pics here.

BABE!!! Mizzed you!

Very sad to hear about your dog. And I’m sorry to hear you’re still dealing with health issues but glad that at least you’ve got a diagnosis – hope its one you can use with your dr to create an action plan. FEEL BETTER SOON!!!

Stinks about your trouble connecting to the flat. I’m curious what group you’re following on FB, I’ll send you a message there so you can LMK.

I’d say the biggest news here is all the new babies in the Flat, but I’m sure you saw them announced on FB.

I so miss your RobPorn postings – I’m trying to hold the fort down but I’m no match to your prowess ;)

As to the Premiere photoshoot – the pics WEIRD and I’m assuming that was intentional. Too avant garde for my taste, TBH. I’d posted earlier that they reminded me of when my daughter used fingerpaints as makeup. Though knowing RP he probably had a blast doing these.

(on a side note, I’m having a mild panic attack, apparently all my photobuckett pictures have disappeared??!!!!EEECK!!)
