Eclipse Premiere - LA & Vegas 2010!

Hi, Everyone! Don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but the Hollywood premiere will be before the national relesase date. Also, the date won't be made public too awfully long before the premiere is held, maybe a month and a half. It just depends on when Summit books the theater and what is available. As soon as it is booked, it will be on Mann's site. I know this because I have been to two premieres. However, you can visit the Mann's Theaters site, http://www.manntheatres.com/premieres/upcoming.php, to find out when and where. Sometimes they are held at Grauman's, which will be hard to get a spot for viewing because of the way it is situated. Sometimes it will be held at Westwood Village, where the viewing potential is much better, in my opinion. I took my kids on a 2 week Twilight vacation last year. We started in LA and drove to Seattle. We stopped at all the filming locations in LA and Oregon and then went on to Forks and La Push in Washington. It was amazing and fun. I am taking my girls to the premiere of Eclipse this summer. I am fortunate enough to have a flexible schedule so short notice on the Hollywood premiere is not a big problem. I will be keeping my eye out for the premiere date and if I come across it and it isn't posted here yet, I will let you all know. Also, just a thought, Vegas is only a 4 hour drive from LA. It would be a lot cheaper to rent a van and split the cost and then have transportation in Vegas. Just a thought!

Also, you can't buy tickets to the Hollywood premieres that the stars will attend. You have to win them or be given one by someone with the hookup. For example, studio execs get so many and hand them out and so on. Also, if you go to this Hollywood premiere, BE HOURS EARLY or you won't be able to see the actors. We went to the Hangover, at Grauman's, and The Taking of Pelham 123 at Westwood Village. We were handed a few premiere tickets at the Westwood village, but it was for a screening in a different screen room from the actors. There were four of us and only got three so we didn't go in and handed them off. Just hoping to be of some help....
