It is that time of day where I am blinded by the sun coming into my office. Starting at about noon, I can hardly see my monitor. I have tried shifting some things around in an effort to block the sun, but no go. We need blinds in this office but the building doesn't allow them. What? They tint the very top 1/4 of the window, but that really doesn't help. :|

That's dumb. Maybe you can just tape photos of hot guys up over your window. Is that strictly forbidden?

This is hilarious because I threatened to do something like that Last week! I took my laptop into the other room one day it was that annoying. As infrequently as my boss is actually HERE, I could make a Ron window collage and he would not care.

Just make a big poster of this and put it over your window. Maybe the window in the background will fool anyone who comes looking for illegal window covers.

I haven't seen Les Miz yet but just came across this local review by Eric Melin:

"The 1980s smash-hit stage musical Les Misérables arrives on the big screen in a punishing movie adaptation from director Tom Hooper that may very well prove to be the “adult” equivalent of the Twilight series.
Actually, Les Misérables isn’t as grounded emotionally as the first Twilight movie, which at least made for a semi-convincing allegory, raising teen alienation to the level of ridiculous supernatural romantic fantasy. Les Misérables is nothing but a punishing display of actorly “raw” emotion, ploddingly staged, and stuck in an endless spin-dry cycle"

It was kind of refreshing to see that someone LIKED Twilight even if it was an off handed compliment... ;)

Either that or they really really didn't like Les Mis... Which I thought was brilliant. Except for Russell Crowe.

I finished Gone Girl and really liked it except for

the ending which I found annoying,. Talk about anti-climatic! So he just stays with her because of the child? I didn't love that.

Anyone read either of her other two books? Thoughts on which one to read next?

I think that might be what I hated about it.

I was actually kind of pissed for a little while afterward. Just seemed a little unbelievable.
