I didn't make it to the gym yesterday but I did go today.
I have made good food choices today and am making steak soup (low fat, lots of veggies) and I am going to make some homemade bread to go with it. I will let you know how it turns out.

Kelbel whatever are you going to do? Balesy AND Taytay are both nominated. And we all know you have a secret crush on Taytay (absolutely False ) and a massive affinity for Balesy!!! (absolutely True ) OH NO!! (i'm just teasing).
Muffinmom wrote:Kel - rather than worrying about the challenge, how about picking ONE thing you want to commit to and doing that? Just one thing.
Muffinmom wrote:Moi - Sigh. I think the main issue I've been whining, about snacking at night, *has* to be related to digestion. So I need to do something about it. Question is - what to do... 'cuz clearly what I'm doing now is not working. Will have to do some serious thinking/reviewing of what's worked and not worked.

Amy - you gotta hang out with ABS more, she's got the right kind of pOrn! (loooove that gif - swoon!)
Muffinmom wrote:Amy, err, yes, I unfortunately saw that...
I still prefer the classic RP p0rn though...

YES! Monday I tried a blonde plum (gross), Tuesday I tried a new frozen pizza - ok, not super healthy, but Tuesdays are my late night and a frozen pizza - a vegetarian one at that - is better than a bag of potato chips or some other hastily eaten garbage. And I label read so the pizza wasn't totally devoid of nutritional value.
Wednesday was a stuffed cabbage roll - which turned out pretty good, and a mixed rice salad that was wild rice with apples, cranberries and I can't remember what else cuz it turned out like crap (undercooked the rice and overdid the vinegar in the dressing). Thursday was red thai chicken and rice - which I freakin' ROCKED (never cooked red curry before - or any kind of curry for that matter). Tonight I'm trying veal. I don't know why, but I've never had veal. Or if I have I didn't like it cuz it has never appealed to me, and I've never bought it before. But since we're trying new stuff this week I figured I'd try it out.

I am going to go to a FUNctional Fitness class this morning. I think it is cardio and strength training. It will be my first time. I did pretty good on my eating this weekend. I kept my portions small ( I plated everything on small plates) and drank a ton of water and snacked but didn't over do it.
I bought snack sized Drumsticks (the ice cream kind, not turkey ) and having just one a night made me happy and satisfied. I will try that again tonight.
I have a 2 months before we head to europe/uk so I am going to try to ramp up my weightloss. I really want to enjoy the trip and not worry about how I look and don't want clothes to be tight on my. I bought a bunch of things on Kohls.com (shoes and shirts) and tried to pretend that stacy and clinton were with me during my decision making process...so i was able to step out of my comfort zone.
PS I have tried to talk myself out of the exercise class 3 times this morning...but I am surrently in my workout clothes and I told my DD that i was going there this morning in hopes that would make more more accountable....
amynkansas wrote:my class was HARD----it had steps and hand weights and lots of stuff I had to modify but the instructor told me I did a good job modifying and that she was happy that when I couldn't do something that I at least jogged in place and kept moving. I will go again and hopfully get better.
Although it wasn't cool that the instructor said she was going to play some Old OLD school music...and it was from when I was in high school.
I am NOT moving to Europe, only going to visit for 2 weeks. My DH is bringing some clients over there to tour a facility and they are bringing their wives so he asked if I could come and they said yes. His round trip flight and the hotel will be paid for so that's cool. We are going to germany for 8 days (that's for the clients) and then we have 5 days to play around so we are going to go to Paris and then London and then home. We have NEVER been overseas so I am SOOOOO excited. I am hoping to meet up with Guitar Girl (Jan) when we're there. IF any of you have travel advice feel free to tell me here or in a PM or email. I am just waiting for my Passport to get here!!

My sister just called to tell me a dear family friend (she was like a sister to us growing up)has passed.
ON a happier note - apparently I'm now Renee's cooking instructor.
