I'm here. trying to avoid doing housework but nothing is happening on the interwebs to distract me :x btw, started listening to "Venetia". Richard is holding back his voice oddly and pronouncing things too correctly. I kind of want to yell at him for it.

You think so? Hrm... Well, it is a book about people trying to be all stuffy with their manners and such...

I think he's talking that way b/c it's hard to tell half the time if it's just narration or if she's supposed to be the narrator :? this is why I couldn't do audiobooks, I'd always get confused about who was talking!

This exactly! Enjoy some quiet time as a family to grieve and I can think of no better place. Hugs.

So many times people want so badly to be there for you in those situations, and you almost feel suffocated even though they mean well. This is a nice way to avoid all of that.

I started it and yes, the voice is VERY nice...but I have found out that I don't really care for stories set in "way back times"...I will give it another try but not today.

PS, I am not going to continue Wuthering Nights either. For the same reasons.

I am here, watching a movie with 1 eye and browsing the internet with the other...

Watching anything good?

A good BIRTHDAY movie maybe?

It s a french comedy called "20 years gap" (rough translation) about a 40 years old woman who falls for the 20 yo student she is "using" to "wilden" her image to get a promotion at work (and no it is not because i am a year closer to 40 yo ... yet... that i am watching it ..i am 5 years less at the moment :? :) )
.... Not technically a Birthday movie, but a movie for my birthday ;)

PS. 150 years isn't WAY BACK! Jeepers! ;) My current book series is set 1200 years ago... Because I'm cool. 8-)

Heading out to MN today. it's a 6 hour trip today and a 4 hour trip on Friday (we will be staying near the Canadian border. The high will only be in the low 60's with rain (there goes my plans of finally getting some sun this summer). Must remember my passport...just in case. ;)

hopefully they will have Wi-Fi so I can tweet and be tweeted.

Audiobook peeps: What's the best (i.e., most affordable) way to go about this. I've only checked out one option but I was like $15 per month and you only get one book at a time, and that's not exactly to my liking.

Yo, how is everyone??

LS - just saw via Twitter yesterday that Jen Lancaster has a new book coming out in February...nothing like a little warning in advance! I think it is another fiction, I didn't super love her first one, but thought I would let you know.

Nath - both the creme brûlée and tiramisu sound lovely! I had the best creme brûlée ever at a small restaurant in Bayeux. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back!

Got my agenda for my trip to PA next week. It is icky. I am already pouting about having to go. :|
