1) I went to bed at 11PM and was up at 8:15am for a run.

2) I had a grand total of eight glasses of water. Not sure how many ounces that is but I figured it was a good amount.

3) I went on a 20-25 minute brisk walk/run.

4) Dressed by 10:30

5) Banana with breakfast and a pear after dinner. Also had asparagus with dinner.

6) No snacks.

7)I actually cleaned my room and organized my closet. It took more than 20 minutes but I just FEEL better when I have a clean enviroment.

8) I told my cousin he looked nice.

9) Stopped eating at 7pm.

First day was pretty cool. Now I have to go tally up the points lol.

well considering that i was trying to figure out if my hour of walking around the grocery store could count as exercise (i have a sprained ankle so it really is exercise) I didn't count it but I'd be okay with you counting your work outs.

1) i love sleep so i was able to get 8.5 :)
2) i think i'm part fish :) and like many i had bathroom breaks like crazy - i maybe up to 96 oz of water
3) I wanted to count my walking around the grocery store since i have a sprained ankle but... i might just be out of the point until my ankle is better...
4) totally ready to go by 10am even if i didn't leave the house until noon.
5) i bought fruit and veggies at the store just so i could keep this up.
6) treats treats treats this is my downfall... i had more then i should have but i skipped a meal. this is where i need work.
7) grocery shopping yay!
8) a random lady had a gorgeous necklace on that i just had to compliment!
9) Finish eating by 10 pm - done!
10) Wild Card - and Done!

I hope you're all enjoying this so far, i know we're only 2 days in but it's helping me being unemployed to get up and get going.

i'm off now, to run my errands for the day!

Ummm, I have read the saga in its entirety I think 4 times....and I have seen NM 5 times in the theaters...BUT...but...but...well, not buts...I just loved it. :) I am so excited to get started and can't wait to get to know everyone! Where do you sing Olivia? I used to have a friend who sang w/ the Met. I <3 New York City! That's where I was when I saw New Moon for the first time :P

Hey! I have sung all over the country....moved here to NYC last year because my agent, coach, and teacher are here and flying back and forth was getting crazy expensive. Haven't auditioned for the Met yet, but hope to sing for them in the fall....we will see. Opera is such a small world....I might know your friend. :) I saw NM at the midnight showing at Times Square....it was crazytown but really fun!

When you audition at the Met say hi to my friend Ann! She plays violin there. She's a total sweetheart.

Hee! I know you do. It would probably be less painful to just hire you and R4L to come up here and take care of it for me!

So my 2 year old woke up crying last night (he's not sick, he must have had a nightmare) and everytime I put him back in his bed he would start crying again, so after 2 hours of trying to gently put him back, I decided to bring him to bed with me. By this time it was 3 and I decided to skip my usual 5am workout. But all morning I felt like i could do better, so when he went down for a nap, instead of my usual cleaning around the house activities, I jumped on the treadmill and had the best run ever! I don't usually "make up" workouts if I miss them, but just knowing that you girls were out there and that I was going to have to admit that I hadn't exersiced today pushed me to do it and it was so awesome. So thank you people who I don't know (yet) but made me jump on the treadmill anyway! If nothing else happens, this is already a win for me =)

I feel like I've done nothing BUT drink all day long and I still don't think that all my beverages put together will equal 64 oz. Guess I will forever forfeit that point! ;)

regarding the beverages...

ok... so 60 oz IS close enough to 64oz.
if it was 50 or 40 then i'd say no...

tea, flavored waters (crystal light) those count towards your drink.
Coffee, Soda & Alcohol do not count towards your water ;)

i'm almost there, i have a nalagene bottle that is 36 oz that i fill and try to get through once since i'm drinking at least two .5L bottles of water...

PS just realized for the UK girls 64oz is equal 2L because it's four .5L bottles.

OH Jodes! you'll get up to it! drinking is good for you one way or another...

the number of times that I've had to pee today! ugh! especially when i was in the car for 40 min when the pee pee monsters hit... when i was little that's what I called it when i really had to go... of course i just looked at urban dictionary and they have a rude awful definition for it... anyway - Hold your Pea!

Hi girls! Today has not gone well I'm afraid. We had no water when we woke up and the plumber didn't come until 1pm so needless to say, I was NOT ready to present myself to the world before 11 and I couldn't start drinking water until around 3pm. Then the power went out for about an hour. Just when I thought I was going to have to leave with the dogs because it was 9 degrees here today, it came back on. Also, had a Drumstick as a snack because I was pissed about the no water/no power and my drug of choice (besides Robporn) is always chocolate. However, I made a great easy dinner that I wanted to share. I forgot to take a pic until we were almost done eating it all.
Fish Tacos
Dredge a tilapia filet in bread crumbs and pan saute in a tiny bit of olive oil. Let sit for a minute and cut into small pieces (or shred if it is falling apart). Assemble tacos with small heated corn tortillas, shredded leaf lettuce, fish, Sriracha, shredded carrot, and a bit of grated cheese. Yum!

Tomorrow will be a better day. If anything, I got some me time in with no power and no water. And, I'm going to bed super early tonight to get some good sleep!

How frustrating! But I'm glad to hear that you were able to have some "me" time. That's always nice. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better day! :)

P.S. Your fish tacos sound yummy, if only my husband would eat cooked fish (he'll eat sushi).

Hi!

I´m so happy that I got 7 points on monday and even 8 yesterday! Today I think I will reach 8 points as well.
I just converted the 64 oz water to liters....and it´s only 1,89 liters? That´s not much so that´s an easy point for me :D

Does it count as a point for exercising if I missed the bus and had to walk? :D
If it doesn´t count I need to search for my yoga-CD and try some of the exercises.

Have a nice day!

I may be playing a little fast and loose with the "presentable" point. I have a pretty bad cold but I am showered and dressed but not looking my best. With the way I feel, showering was a major accomplishment this morning!

Thanks for inspiring me to keep going, ladies, when I all I want to do is give in. You guys rock!

I have a question regarding the wild card point for this week. Since it was to write a post introducing ourselves, do we count that point every day if we already did it? I didn't count it again yesterday, 'cause I didn't know.....thanks!

JenKB wrote:Okay, so day 1 has come and gone, and I'm off to a good start with 8 points:

1) I went to bed at 10PM and was up at 5:45am for my early morning gym call

2) Alas, I only tallied 60oz. of water. I suppose I could round up to 64, but that would be dishonest and defeat the purpose of this little exercise. Perhaps I should have had 4 more ounces of water, instead of wine. ;)

3) I spent 43 minutes on the treadmill: 5 min warmup @ 4mph, 33 min @ 5.5 for 3 miles and 5 min cooldown

4) Out the door and ready for work at 8:45am

5) I only ended up with 2 servings of fruit. I had pineapple chunks with my lunch and an orange as an early evening snack. I had a few grapes after dinner, but not enough to be considered a full serving.

6) I had a quarter cup of almonds (one serving) and an orange.

7) My 20 minutes consisted of cooking dinner. I know some may consider this a chore, but cooking is one of my favorite leisure activities. I tried to make something decent out of what little we had around the house. I made mashed potatoes with fresh scallions and a variation of chicken piccata but with pork chops with a white wine, citrus butter sauce with capers. It was yum yum. I also tidied up the kitchen, ground coffee beans and set the coffee maker for the next day, made my lunch for the next day, picked out my clothes for work, set out my gym clothes, washed my face, brushed my teeth, flossed and read 1 chapter of Eclipse.

8) I told my husband he has a nice smile. :)

9) Stopped eating before 9pm.

10) Posted my introductory post yesterday morning.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and is having as much fun with this as I am. :D

P.S. Allow me to say that although I was able to tally how many ounces of water I drank, I lost track of how many bathroom breaks I had to take at work yesterday. Goodness. :?
