First off a couple of announcements. New girls to the forum, there is an option on the post screen that you can check so you'll get notified when there's a new post. I find that makes my life easier otherwise I forget to check in sometimes.
Returning whores, theres one less sick day available this time around, just fyi
And, showtime is premiering new moon on saturday at 8pm (central) you all do the math for yours. I think imma watch it if anybody else has the same social schedule as i do, maybe we watch together?
I think they're supposed to have interviews and stuff with our fav Dr. either before or after, i can't remember. And they're showing twilight earlier in the day too.
WELCOME CARRIECEE, TWILIGHTCAT & FOUNDMYEDWARD!!!!! We are so glad you guys are here!
And as long as we're clearing things up, I live in TX but don't own a hat or a horse. I always thought I wanted a horse, but I have recently discovered a donkey would probably be a better match for me.
absolutelyvlc wrote:*50 imaginary points to anyone who recognized that reference :D

=( no points for me, i don't know where that's from

CARRIECEE, that is awesome! What will you be doing for a month in UK? work? vacay?

As you know, Rob likes to travel, but he hates to be photographed at airports and bars and stuff. We've got some people "on the inside" and we worked together with them to help our fav brit out. We are Robs very own underground railroad. We help him travel under the radar and get to know the world with the help of locals and without beging hasseled. And in return he does a few housechores here and there and loves us tenderly. Check out his previous adventures
http://travelrob.tumblr.com/
If you would like to host rob pm go add your address to his itinerary on the spreadsheet.

FoundMyEdward, No worries, we'll help you show Mr FME =)

TwilightCat, actually, i thought that sounded kind of cool! And you and Lisa will get a long great, she's our resident ass kicking cyclist.

I do that with the peanut butters at the store. I just stare at them and think of all the dirty things we could do together. I feel like a creeper, 'cause sometimes i think i slobber alittle biy

claudia. you had better read Master of the Universe NOW and i don't want to see you roll your eyes at me. Do you understand, young lady? Don't make me use the flogger.

TCat-to help you WANT to do all that sexercise get on the Fan Fic if you haven't already. We will gladly reccomend some good (read: naughty) ones.

If you are really ready to lose some weight and make some healthy habits stick, then you need to check in here a few times a week to help you stay on track. Plus these chicks are so damn funny that you will be addicted soon enough.

I am happy to report that we are on day 2 and I haven't had to use a vaycay day yet!! I got 9 out of 10 points yesterday. It would have been a perfect day if we concidered 3 honey soaked tordillas (a homenade Italian pastry) and a mug of ice cream with brown sugar and chocolate chips, 2 small treats. We don't do we...? darn. :(

My hubs left only moments ago for MN but will be home tomorrow night. I will use my day to buy a new phone, enter my business expenses and read read read :D

okay, off to conquer the world... or at least the At&T store.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Okay, so I fell off the bandwagon a little bit today -- didn't sleep enough, and wasn't showered/dressed by 11. Ah well, tomorrow's another day. But I feel great! I'd forgotten how good it feels to ride my bike, even if it is on a stand, and not out on the open road (*sings* I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike...).

I've also gone cold turkey on chocolate (which is probably as much to blame for the weight as the lack of bicycling). I didn't realize how much it had crept into my diet until I habitually went to the pantry five times yesterday, and had to remind myself that I was eating healthy now. I’ve always eaten my fruits and veggies, but without all the candy, they’re starting to taste yummier.

So far, this Resolutionary Challenge thing is awesome (okay, I’m only on day 2, but still). Plus, you ladies crack me up, so it’s fun!

cdubs wrote:TwilightCat, actually, i thought that sounded kind of cool! And you and Lisa will get a long great, she's our resident ass kicking cyclist.

Hiya Lisa! Good to know that there’s a fellow cyclist on board!

I'm a LolaShoes junkie. Does that count? (The bf doesn’t know, but I’ve gotten some moves from that one). ;)

Well, later all. I’m off to eat lunch (without the chocolate chaser!). :D

Yay! Another LolaShoes fan! Represent!! I actually started writing to LTT because of LolaShoes. When she took down her ff back in November, I wrote a letter to UC and Moon in desperation asking them for help (I was halfway through ALE when she deleted her stories -- talk about getting cockblocked!). They were so nice in helping me rebuild my LolaShoes collection that I came out of lurkdom and started posting to the LTT blog.

Thanks for the compliment on my avitar. :) Finding it was one of those little kismet moments.

Where is Travelin' Rob? Will this project continue (hopefully) into this season since he hasn't made a visit to me or Gretchen here in WA state? Claudia & Gina, I think you two started this project and I can't even remember how Rob & TomStu originally came to be laminated but would one of you mind sharing with the class how this started? Thanks!

Lisa and I have great plans for him!!!! We're going to FORKS then sneak him into LaPush!!!

heres a nifty article on fruits and veggies
http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/nut ... asp?id=161

Cat, I forgot to mention earlier about the chocolate. I am NOT an expert by any means, im probably one of the sickest puppies around here, but, i don't think that going cold turkey with the chocolate is the way to go. I like to buy skinny cow's mini fudge pops. they're 50 calories and do the trick. I also know that Gina thinks very highly of sea salt dark chocolate, I've never tried it but from what i hear it also does the trick.
Lisa does smoothies with cocoa powder in them, which is also low on calories but high on chocolate flavor.

On the chocolate note, I've been known to blend together plain nonfat greek yogurt, unsweetened cocoa, & a bit of splenda. It does the trick.

Even more LOL!!! I've always wanted to visit the midwest. Ever since I found out Hanson were from Oklahoma...

I am great at laughing at my own jokes, saying things OUT LOUD without a filter, I can sleep like a teenager (and bang like one too!) But I am truly a Libra so I guess I try to be fair and am mostly optimistic. I'm a" my glass is half full (of vodka)" kind of girl.

My hubby got me Just Dance and Just Dance 2 for the Wii. SO far I like it. It has a fitness mode on it and I can get "sweat points" and it tracks it. I am a lousy dancer but it gets my heart rate up and I sweat and my kid can do it with me. My friend has Wii fit but said she liked it in the beginning but got bored of it after a month but said if I get bored of the Just Dance games that I can borrow the Wii Fit until I get bored of that. But then maybe it will be warmer out by then and I can start running outside. I do have a treadmill too so I really have no excuses. Whitney, don't forget about the library for workout videos. I would like the K-stew leg work out if you can pass it along to me.

This is my 4th challenge within the Flat. I lost 20 lbs during the first one, 5 during the second. None during the 3rd. i obviously slacked off so I am getting serious again. I have 5-6 months before the dreaded swimsuit season but more than that, I would just like to be healthier and feel better about myself and be able to run a fucking mile without needing CPR. I need some run-braggin days.

That's awesome!!! I know what you mean about the running thing too. I can barely jog to the end of my driveway... Being unfit is such a horrible feeling.

amynkansas wrote:Please give the link of travelin Rob so the newbies understand the reference and the directions and give mailing info. he hasn't paid me a visit yet either :( . You may want to keep your private time private ;)

Like Lisa, I am totally madly in love with my husband (unless i want to stab him that day) so get ready for my emo mooning and sexy stories one day and then asking you where I should hide his body the next.

Oh and if you're on the Twitter, there are several of us that give lots of late breaking news daily about stuff you NEED to know so don't be shy. Plus, we love to get and give drunk tweets. here's my twitter handle - amyphotog

I got the link to travelling Rob, but I didn't get the link to the spreadhseet where we record our results... Is that on a different spreadsheet does anyone know??

I'm 27, married for 6 years, no kids and live in New Mexico (yes, it's part of the U.S.). My husband took one look at the spreadsheet and laughed (way to be encouraging!), so now I have a little extra motivation to show him I can do this. I'm off to a slow start, but promise to improve.
I'm having a hard time coming up with a vampire power. I asked my husband and his first answer was bj's, which was sweet but that's already taken. I'm very dependable, so maybe my power would be that I'd appear whenever I'm needed. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Cool! I can have my chocolate and eat it too! I've used stevia herb as a sweetener in the past, so I'll try mixing it with some cocoa powder. I'm allergic to dairy and soy, but I often use rice milk as a substitute, so I'll try mixing my cocoa with that. Thanks for the tip, Claudia!

Yeah it's just a travelling holiday. We're going to be based in London, but we have side trips planned to Paris, Zurich, Milan, Vienna, Berlin and a week or so in Scotland. I ♥♥♥ the UK. It's my great passion. I went last year in November, which is when I met Rob, so fingers crossed I will be lucky again this time. I'm also hoping to meet up with some lovely girls that I met over in Rob's Flat. One of these days I'm going to plan a trip to the US and meet some of the girls over there, too.

Hello Lovelies!

Wow, you newcomers are bringing fresh awesomeness to our little corner of LTT!

Welcome CC: (Can I call you CC?) You've met Rob? Like actually in person? I occasionally lurk in the daily forums but I must have missed that! Do tell, please. Did you hypnotize him with your magic boobs or was Kristen there to cockblock you! BTW, I LOVE your avatar. It makes me think Edward from "The Office" is popping his head around the corner and giving me the stink eye! ha! Wow, your UK holiday sounds fabulous. I am so envious.

Welcome Cara: That's the spirit. Show up your husband by getting lots of 9's and 10's in this competition. He needs to earn back your mad bj skills for laughing at you. ;)

Welcome Cat: A cyclist AND you love Lola?! I love you already! I don't have time now to wax poetic about my love of cycling (or Lola) but time on my bike is almost my favorite thing. There's so much to talk about with you, but unfortunately not enough time at this moment!
~~That totally sucks that Pittsburgh is so bike-unfriendly. Good for you for finding a work-around and getting a bike trainer. I thought about you today while I slogged through the bitter cold and thought, "I'm DEFINITELY getting a bike trainer when we leave this apartment and move back into our house."
~~Your job, and the way your mind works sounds so intriguing. I wish I had a special power like that, especially one that would help me in the stock market. Good for you bf for suggesting that.
~~I wanna talk chocolate smoothies, Lola & more cycling with you next time...

Gina- I'm happy you're working :D but sad you're not around more. :( And I love you, too.

Claudia- I'm with you. I haven't read MoTU either but I just can't get into the D/s stuff. SORRY!

Whit- I guess when I said I wouldn't post my photo-a-day to a blog, I should have been honest and said, "I won't be doing that since I'm such a tech-tarded procrastinator, by the time I set it up and figure out how to do it, it'll be August." 1. Damn your picture today! Now I'm craving a pb&j. 2. I will be stealing your ideas. I loved the rear view mirror shot. Good job with your pics and I look forward to lurking. Eventually I will comment. :D

Abs- Isn't 'manjina' from StepBrothers?

Amy, dearest: I'm begging you now. Did you, or did you not run in the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot? I've asked at least twice and I don't know if you're ignoring me or just trying to forget that race. ? PM me if you want me to shut the hell up. Right before you announced here you were running in it, I found out about a local Turkey Trot and thought 'how fun would that be'. Once you announced you were doing it, you inspired me to run in the 2011 event. I've also asked a bunch of friends/family to come with so now I gotta follow through. Thanks for inspiring me! And CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss last year!!! yay!
amynkansas wrote:I am happy to report that we are on day 2 and I haven't had to use a vaycay day yet!!

teehee! That cracked me up.

GRETCHEN! You gave away the surprise! Now Rob will probably balk at going on this road trip since he hates Twilight and now the girls know every lame-o tourist trap in Forks/La Push will end up in Travelin' Rob's pictures. :D p.s. Let's go to Bella Italia for mushroom ravioli, k? yum!

Today was another BIKE BRAGGING DAY but the only thing I feel like bragging about was that I just got out there. I seriously did NOT want to get out on my bike, hubby had to prod me a bit and then I remembered how much I want to be a RUNNER this year and that starts with getting into better shape. I realized today how much I've been cheating myself for the past 6 weeks or so by riding mostly on the flats, plus eating WAY too much over the holidays. Today I cycled a hilly neighborhood that I hadn't done in weeks and my bike first whispered, then screamed at me about the fitness I'd lost and the pounds I've gained. I just about had my ass handed to me by a few of those long hills today. But I didn't quit. I also went a little further because I also know since I am a less efficient cyclist right now, I'm burning more calories. woohoo!

Ok, more tomorrow...

Hi!!! Yes, pleae call me CC.
Yep, I met Rob (technically, screamed at him) last year at the New Moon fan event in Battersea Park in London. I have a rather detailed account of it over in the encounters thread. It's rather embarrassing. Sadly my magic boobs were covered up that day, which is the only reason I have for why he didn't automotically get down (TWSS) on one bended knee and propose. Sigh. Maybe next time. Kristen was there too, and I think that's when I officially fell in love with her. She was soooo pretty. And so sweet!

Post 1 of 3:

Cdubs- Honey you need an attitude adjustment somthin’ fierce! I am so sorry that everything in your life sucks right now. Re: your 2012 panic attacks- remember I told you last week about this great book I read? Well it’s about a meteor hitting the moon and sending it off course, which causes tsunamis, earthquakes, fires, extreme weather, a collapse of civilization (no electricity, Internet, gasoline, school, basic infrastructure like mail service and police), famine, pestilence, etc, etc. I had troubled dreams the whole time I was reading that book, and even during the day I found myself feeling like I did after 9/11- why don’t I have a generator? I need a wood stove and a shitload of firewood! Why do I drive an SUV and not a Geo Metro? How many gallons of water can my laundry room hold? I think as a mother (or maybe just as an adult- I’ve never been one without being the other), our responses to the idea of impending doom is very natural. Don’t be ashamed!!! And I also think Lisa is right- we need to be prepared, but not batshit crazy. Remember George from 6FU- Ruth’s crazy professor husband and his bomb shelter? All the stuff he was freaked out about is true- acid rain, nuclear war, etc, but George’s way is not the right way to handle it. Another thing to consider is that maybe you have anxiety about something else in your life- something you either don’t want to acknowledge or something you really have no control over- and that anxiety has attached itself to the Apocalypse. I have a tendency to do that. I am sorry that your new hair-do is not sponge-worthy. If the world really was going to end, I’d fuck you no matter what your hair looked like. I’d fuck you so good, and it wouldn’t be a pity fuck, either- I’d rock your (end of the) world, baby! And I love how you tied the new Wild Cards into Twilight- I might just give you some good lovin’ for that creativity!

Sam- I love cousin Ben’s monster cock junk! So when do I get one of THOSE Christmas pics??? Yay for Mr. Doodle winning the hearts of Ohio Clarks everywhere, and yay for tool sets! I am so sorry Julie died on Christmas- that’s super sucky for her kids, but I am very, very impressed that she held on for so long- yay Julie! Re: the post that was eaten- how many times do I have to tell you people?!? WORD DOC. Period. Oh, and pics of the ring? Please? Re: sex as exercise- I have always maintained that if sex has you sweating and breathing hard for at least 20 minutes, it counts. ABS- I don’t know what “starfish” is and I don’t want to know. I used to believe that knowledge was a good thing, but after some of the fucked-up things you people have taught me, I now believe that ignorance is bliss.

Lisa- I love Jane Eyre! It might be my favorite classic. The movie is really good, too. Dreamy, conflicted, rich, fuck hawt Edwards are always my cuppa ;) I had never read Jane Eyre or any Jane Austen until I read the Twilight books- Tess of the D’Urbervilles is next on my Old-Fashioned, Fahncy-Book reading list. Wow, you kicked all of our asses at bike riding, now you’re going to be The Best Runner That Ever Ran? Look out, runners- here comes Lisa!!! I loved reading about your Twilight Christmas. (PS Do we hate SIL? I get the feeling she’s a bitch and we hate her.) Re: driving 4-5 hours after drinking 3 shots and eating a big meal- when I lived in OR, I was a cocktail waitress and had to pass an alcohol training. The rule of thumb was 1 drink per hour is OK, with food is even better. That’s the rule I live by, so I’d say you were fine. What is “Suicide Girls porn”? I really hope it’s not snuff porn- that would be icky. :? And I agree with Mr. Seattle- you need to get a “They’re Not Bears” tramp stamp. I am officially starting the fundraising collection with $5. “Did you hypnotize him with your magic boobs or was Kristen there to cockblock you!”- wouldn’t that be “boobblocking” instead of “cockblocking”??

Manda- UNF on the Fifty gif. Just UNF- instead of making my way through the 10+ page list of FF recs I have, I might have to back up and revisit that fucked up, lovely lovely man. Have you tried stevia instead of splenda? Stevia’s a natural sweetener and a little goes a long way.

Amy- Nice job on the poop research! I love to poop fat. Vegans don’t consume or use any animal products. So no cow milk for them- it would be almond milk, rice milk, hemp milk, coconut milk, or soy milk. I flove Cash Cab! Although when Ben starts trying to sound like an old Jewish New Yorker with no teeth, I want to punch him in his man bits. SPECIAL HUGS ROB?!?! O.M.E. I can’t wait to meet him!!! :D :D

Gretchen- good to have you back! You never did tell us what was going on with your DD- did you guys get everything worked out?

A BIG WARM LOSER WELCOME to TwilightCat (holla fellow bicyclist! I’m jelly of your bike stand- maybe I should get me one of those), found-my-edward (woohoo for undead BJs!), Firefly, midnightSomewhere, and P.S (are you really a person? Or is this a secret code from Cdubs?)

Abs- Honey! Tell us how your 12 days of Christmas went w/ Mr Abs- I can’t wait to hear all about it!!

RPattzSexLawyer- WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!?!?

Mimmsy- WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!?!? too? Still in the wilds of Romania without Internet, I reckon.

Whitney- Hi dollface! I am soooooooo jelly Mr. Vanhalen is taking you to WWoHP for your Christmas present- SOOO jelly. I know you’ll do us right and post a fabbo blog about it when you return. I know what your vamp power would be- naming things! You would be able to sense the essence of a thing or person and give them/it the perfect name. :D

CarrieCee- Welcome! You were poking around a bit during the last challenge, then disappeared- I’m so glad you came back for this one! Stephenie Meyer and I are both jelly that you are taking a month-long holiday to the UK! What is your poison as far as exercise goes? I love your awesome boobs already, and I haven’t even met them yet! Wow, you’ve been in the presence of the Magical, Mystical Duo Who May-Or-May-Not-Be-A-Duo. I am very very jelly. It made me happy to hear it was in Battersea park- my dear MIL is from Battersea :)

A little getting-to-know-me treat:
http://twitpic.com/3n37zd

OK I just spent my entire night reading stuff I missed and writing my posts (in Word, Sam- saved in a Word doc!). FYI for you newbies- DON’T GET BEHIND IN THE THREAD! Getting caught up is a bitch and you miss out on all sorts of great stuff- humour, advice, links, stories about cousin Ben’s monster cock, etc etc.

My name’s obava (yeah?) and I’m a Virgo (uh huh!). That’s as far as my cheerleading skills go. Sorry.

I turned 40 this year, graduated with my Master’s in May, and was unemployed until 2 weeks ago. I live in Wyoming and am a single mom with 2 kids- a 15 year-old who doesn’t live with me and an 8 year-old who lives with me half the time. This will be my 4th? 5th? challenge. I love these challenges because they keep me sane. Seriously. I have depression, or the blues, or the sads, or whatever Lisa’s therapist want to call them, and many parts of this past year were extremely challenging, but having a healthy routine and having a support group like you lovely people saved my life on more than one occasion. OK, that might be a slight exaggeration, but I truly feel like I couldn’t have made it through the past 9 months without you all.

For my workout, I usually do my Wii Fit if I can’t ride my bike- last year Lisa inspired me to start riding my bike and I FELL IN LOVE (with my bike, tho Lisa’s pretty awesome too). My goal for 2011 is to get an odometer and find a baseline for my biking, then over the year, work my miles up. Right now I have no freaking idea how far I was riding last summer. Maybe I’ll even get a bike rack for my vehicle and take my bike on the rail trail. Ooo I didn’t tell you guys that my new job is AT THE OTHER END OF THE GREENBELT- so I’ll be able to ride my bike to work and back on my beloved greenbelt!!!

My vamp talent? I’m pretty anal, so I guess – hey that’s got me thinking- if vamp flesh is hard as stone, what about the parts that are supposed to be soft? The parts that need to be soft to, say, allow other parts to go into them? Wait, what’s my vamp talent? I’m really good at keeping the pantry stocked, so I guess that would translate to- hey what about that vamp who can move the earth? What was that talent when he was human? He liked to play in the dirt when he was a little human boy? Oh hell, I don’t know what my talent would be. But it for sure wouldn’t be making beds or wrapping presents- I suck at those. Maybe diagnosing medical ailments- I would just have to smell someone to know exactly what was wrong with them and how to fix it.

Oh, Twitter, my Twitter- I’m obava. Join us! I’m not on so much anymore now that I’m employed, but it’s the best, seriously- I miss all those bitches *sniff*!

Hi!!! I just followed you on twitter. I love your cartoon hehehe.
Exercise to me is poison LOL. I like walks, cos that's about as strenuous as I want to get. Oh, and dancing like a maniac, susually on a bar somewhere, more often than not to Bon Jovi's "Livin on a Prayer".

Can I just say that your vamp talent being anal would be all kinds of awesome??? Hehehe. My mind is in the gutter.

Once again, I have Challenge worksheets for anyone who wants them! Email me at obava23@yahoo.com to get yours NOW- free with shipping and handling. Which is also free. :D

My new job is swell! The first week I was there, my boss was really busy and couldn’t help me, so I spent my time going through my new office- cleaning it, rearranging stuff, going through the files and reorganizing them. I also reorganized the files on the computer, labeling them better and moving things around. I didn’t find out for several days that my computer is shared with my bosses computer- everything I had done to “my” computer files was also done to my boss’s computer files. Oops. :? :(

My Christmas vacay was over-all a B or B+. Yes, my daughter ruined Christmas, and I was sure I would hold it against her forever, but honestly, I’m over it now. We overall had a nice time- very mellow, kinda boring- but that’s the way I like my life to be. :) The drive to the airport was pretty sketchy at one point- we have to go over a mountain pass at about 8000 feet above sea level and the weather and road there can get pretty bad. We had a few miles of almost zero visibility due to a ground blizzard- we were going about 30mph and could barely see the car in front of us- but that was the worst of it and actually that was pretty good for that stretch of road.

One of the little weird things I like to do- probably because when it’s been winter for 6 months solid, it’s hard to believe summer even exists- is to look out one of my windows and try to really to try to see and feel like it’s summer outside. One day I was sitting at my favorite spot on the couch, looking out the window and doing that, and I thought how cool it would be to have a film sped up of a whole year looking out that window- how the angle of the light changes, how the tree fills out with leaves and grows, etc. One of my friends was doing the picture-a-day project, and I thought “Oooo! On January 1st, that’s what I’ll do, only it will be of my view from the couch!” But I totally forgot about it until this morning when I was reading about Lisa’s and Whitney’s projects. So thanks for the reminder!

I can’t remember if I already told you this- you know how my mom got me a tiny, fake fireplace for Christmas? My sister did, too! Now I have TWO tiny fake fireplaces and I love it!! So when you come to visit me, you can have a tiny fake fireplace to sleep next to, too! :D

I didn’t gain any weight over Christmas- not because I have a will of steel, but because my cavities are so bad, I even had to change the kind of bread I buy- goodbye Oatnut, hello white  Now that I have a job, I made a dentist appointment. I don't like my dentist- the last time I had work done, it hurt so bad for days, and even didn;t feel right for months after. I'm *not* looking forward to seeing him again :x

I am watching the Eclipse special stuff 20 minutes at a time- I watch it while I’m doing my workout in the morning- and some days the only reason I work out is to watch Eclipse  . Since Six Feet Under is over and there’s no new True Blood or Dexter, I’ve started on Mad Men. I really like it! I especially love the costumes, cars, furnishings, etc.

I am eating ice cream that is freezer burned- it is totally disgusting. This, however, is the opposite of freezer-burned ice cream:

OK enough. I'm off to bed with sweet dreams- later lovies!!!

Ooooooooook, stuff to catch up on already. :)

HI! To all the new folks!

Cat:: 1) Yes, I loooooove that song they made out of that crazy lady video. My sister and I sing it all the time. 2) I give you an over the internet air highfive for referencing a Queen song in a post. Queen is my favorite band of all time. OF ALL TIME.

cdubs wrote:First off a couple of announcements. New girls to the forum, there is an option on the post screen that you can check so you'll get notified when there's a new post.

Ummmm... I didn't know we had this feature.... :?

Funny thing is, I know people who say it like this. I'm related to people who say it like this.

CC:: I'm beyond jealous that you screamed at Rob. I'd probably do the same thing. Also, I too love KStew. A lot.

Ok, I change my superpower. I like this one better. I love giving rando things names.
And you can bet you rump I will write about my trip. I am so. damned. excited.

I went out thrifting today. Bought a cute skirt that, upon further investigation, turns out is 100% wool and therefore dry clean only. I hate dry cleaning things. Whoooops. Oh well.

Alright, I have to go do some knitting now. Because Momma's Christmas gift still isn't done (another "Whoooops" goes here). And the Weasley sweater is still in progress. I made the comment that maybe I'll finish it and embarrass bf at the Wizarding World by wearing it. HA!

Hellllllooooooooo Ladies! It's been a long time! I just have to say how much I've missed you all! Reading your posts I realized just how much I've missed this group of girls!!!

Of course I already screwed up with the challenge because as obava clearly pointed out, when you get behind in the thread it's a bitch to catch up. I have to admit I had to skim over some of the posts, but this will hopefully be the last time I do that (unless I'm on vacation or something).

So here goes my intro for everyone who doesn't know me (or doesn't remember me, cause let's face it I've been gone a while)........I'm Courtney, I live in Portland Oregon (moved here from Reno last June/July). I attempted to do the Biggest Loser Challege twice and failed miserably. Since I am now the heaviest I've ever been, I have a whole new outlook on this Challenge. I have already purchased some great exercise dvd's, made plans for outdoor exercise, got some great food recipes and strategies and can't wait to put it all together. I'm hoping to complete this challenge with some pounds lost to show for it!!!

I am currently working in a temp job I'm not too excited about but I've been looking for a full-time job to put my Finance degree to some use. Hopefully something will come up soon because I'm so bored in my job it's not even funny.

I can't wait to hit the ground running (even though I'm one day late) with this challenge. I look forward to getting to know all of you newbies, and reconnecting with you old losers. ;)

Oh, and if I was a vampire I think my power would be listening/empathy. I've been told by lots of friends and family that I'm a great listener and make them feel better when they're down, so I guess that'll have to do. :) It's not as exciting as super bj powers. lol

Hi All,

I’m off to bed, but I first wanted to wave back to a few of you who said hi.

SeattleLisa wrote:Welcome Cat: A cyclist AND you love Lola?!

I only discovered LolaShoes back in October, but I already think of her story as “the way things happened” in Breaking Dawn. I love Stephenie, but nobody knows how to write a hot-as-fuck sex scene like LolaShoes. Plus I thought the power she gave Bella was way cool. My bf has been the unknowing beneficiary of LolaShoes’ magicness many a time. ;)

Pittsburgh is a pretty awesome city, but the bicycling here does suck. It’s listed as one of the least bikeable cities in the US. Once you get out into the country, you can find some good bike trails with lots of hills and low traffic, so I don’t want to knock all of Western PA.

The bike trainer I got was the “Kurt Kinetic Rock and Roll”: http://www.kurtkinetic.com/rock-roll-p-112-l-en.html The best things about it are that it has a lot of resistance so that you can simulate going uphill, and it has a natural side-to-side motion, which activates your stabilizing core muscles as you pedal. It’s a bit pricey, but it really does make it feel like you’re riding a bicycle, and not just sitting on an exercise bike.

My boyfriend is awesome. He really appreciates the way my mind works and helps me figure out ways to use it. He was also the one that got me into SEO. Stock market analysis has been my latest endeavor, and I’m really enjoying it.

Chocolate smoothies ... mmmmm ... *eyes glaze over*

obava wrote:TwilightCat (holla fellow bicyclist! I’m jelly of your bike stand- maybe I should get me one of those)

Bike trainers are awesome! Though when you use them, you’ll probably want to point a fan on you at full blast -- since you don’t have the wind to cool you down, you get hot like a werewolf in no time!

The “Auto-Tune the News” guys always do a great job finding crazy videos to set to music. They make the most unlikely videos bizarrely memorable.

I love Queen, as well! Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, Bicycle ... love them all!

See you all tomorrow!
