New Faces Friday: Patrick Brennan

Dear Patrick Brennan (Can we call you Pat?)

We got a chance to phone chat with you recently for the Twilight fansite feature: New Faces Friday and we learned that you, like your character Liam, are Irish and LOVE your Irish heritage. So before we get to the interview, here are (Lucky #7!)

7 Things we learned about Pat

  1. You could have been an extra in The Town (because of the way you sound & look)
  2. You’re CUTE adding to the list of drool-worthy Twilight cast members.
  3. You are, in fact, NOT from Boston and are not an Irish thug (although we wondered after hearing you talk…)
  4. You just had a baby daughter (We hope she doesn’t have super powers and grow extrodinarily fast and is named Nessie. Or falls in love with a werewolf. unless you’re into that sort of thing)
  5. You did not participate in wardrobe theft on the Breaking Dawn set (clearly someone didn’t get to know Rob Pattinson well enough)
  6. You forgot Taylor Lautner’s name because twice in the interview you said something along the lines of “Those 3– Robert Kristen and… those 3″ and finally said “Jacob” It’s okay. We call him Jacob too.
  7. (We learned this one from imdb) Some of your family members were/are movie stars. And we’re pretty sure your grandmother was a big movie star back in the day!

Interview with Patrick Brennan after the jump! Continue…

New Faces Friday: Angela Sarafyan

Dear LTT,

Here is all you ever wanted to know (and we know how much you’ve been wanting to know) about Angela Sarafyan who plays Tia in Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Who the H is Tia you ask? Good question. Tia is from the Egyptian coven & she mates with Benjamin. I mean he’s her mate. Whatever. Bella on Tia:

“Tia, Benjamin’s mate, was a quiet woman as well, though when she did speak there was great insight and gravity to everything she said.”

Does anyone get the feeling we’re gonna be REALLY CONFUSED with all these new characters while watching Breaking Dawn Part 2? Should we bring our Edward Cullen notepads to take notes during our first viewing? What if they give us all a Twilight fan test at the midnight showing after the movie is over? I will fail SO BAD.

So without further ado…. here is all you’ve ever wanted to know about Angela Sarafyan the gorgeous girl who plays Tia [Thanks to Erin from Twilightish who slaved all evening transcribing the fansites interview with Angela. YOU ARE THE BEST!]

With Stephenie Meyer being on the set did you get a chance to talk with her and get any new insight about your character Tia?

Angela:  I did. I did get a chance to talk to her. We actually spoke briefly about how she cam up with the character. And I don’t even know if it’s really coming up with but there’s just a little bit of a talk about how Benjamin and Tia came from poverty and kind of struggled until the met Amun and Kebi. It was interesting to hear her perspective on the character.

Was it nice having her there?

Angela: Ya, of course, it was kind of cool. It was like having a legend on set in a way. Because she wrote all those books and she came up with those stories. And then to actually meet the person that did that, that was kind of surreal. It was kind of surreal to be on that set in general.

How did you prepare for your role once you got cast? Had you read the series before hand?

Angela: No, I hadn’t read the series beforehand. Actually how I got ready initially was I saw the third film before my audition and was readying all your sites actually about everything twilight. Because I had a short time to get ready for the audition so basically it all started from you guys. There is so much information that you put out there. I felt fortunate to have all the sites available. After I heard I got the part, I had briefly read summaries of the books before the audition, then after that I read it. I read the full book and completely saw all the movies, and got a sense of the world I was coming into.

I was wondering if you could tell us what it was like seeing yourself in full out vampire gear the first time.

Angela: I didn’t know what it was going to look like. It was trippy. It was, I don’t look anything like that. I was really cool because I don’t look anything like my character in the movie at all. From my hair to my makeup, to the clothes that I wear, I don’t look anything like it. I even think I look, there’s this picture out now of all the vampires, and I don’t even think it looks like me. That picture, she looks Egyptian. It’s crazy that this transformation happened. It was cool to finally play a character that didn’t look anything like me.

I was wondering, since you are Egyptian do you use an accent or how you make your voice a little different?

Answer: Nothing was different. There’s a slight accent, but everything was just really subtle and real. Also  with our looks we’re really different from the other vampires. Just so you know. We are all golden. We are not white. Being Egyptian, that is one of the things that stood out. We look really good. So there wasn’t anything too extreme about it. Which I liked. I think it kept it real. As real as a vampire is.

What was it like coming into such an established set? What was it like to feel like the new kid?

I think that I had that experience initially, but what’s interesting is that there was so many of us that we became the people that everyone else was gonna try to fit into. There were so many vampires and so many actors there. Initially it was… I am trying to think of the correct word because the very first scene that we shot was at the Casbah , and I remember just going on that set and seeing Elisabeth Reaser and their faces that I’d seen posters of and these faces that I’d seen in the films. I couldn’t digest it. I couldn’t look at it and go oh whatever, who cares, they are just actors, it was surreal. The whole thing was completely surreal. I remember I came on set the day before we were shooting, or two days before, and I saw Kristen sitting there, and I was like that’s the girl. There’s the face that I’ve been seeing and hearing everywhere. There’s that little head. It was interesting to finally see them in the flesh. It was not as intimidating as you think. Just a very crazy thing to see these things for real.

When you came into this, who were you most excited to work with?

Angela: I was looking forward to meeting Rami because he was going to play my man. I know technically I should be excited to meet Kristen and Rob and all those cats and I was happy to meet them, I really was, but I think that most excited about it was meeting Rami because we were going to be mates, as vampires can be. We were mates. I didn’t know who he was and it was a lovely surprise. It was just a great surprise. I think when you see the film, you will think that we are a couple, which is cool. We really found what was special between us.

Whose idea was the photo pose for the EW Comic Con photo booth?

Angela: It just happened. Nobody had an idea. I went and I stood there and we didn’t know what to do. It just happened.

It was really good.

Angela: Thanks, I love that picture too.

What was the most challenging part of playing this role?

Angela: I don’t think it was challenging actually. I didn’t find it to be very challenging. I kinda just took everything from one moment to the next. I don’t know, I would think that the right answer was that it wasn’t really challenging, it was fun. It was interesting and fun to approach based on the world that was being created. If that makes any sense. Because I didn’t know really what I was walking into, so everything was kind of created in the moment. I had ideas, but those ideas can be thrown out the window once you walk on a set, and you see what’s really going on. So then you create in the moment, which makes it more exciting. It wasn’t a challenge, so it was more fun than difficult in any way working on this part. Creating real relationships and building the characters from there. I guess, ultimately. And there were pleasant surprises along the way. There are pleasant surprises because you don’t know who you are going to meet. So when you have connections with other actors, like Kristen and I and Rob and Rami and Omar and a lot of us had real connections. People had real chemistry. It was surprising that those things happened and I was happy for them. And you create friends as well.

Bet you didn’t know all that, right!?

Love,
Unintendedchoice

Thanks again to Erin!

We ask to the new Breaking Dawn Part 2 Stills: WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?

Dear LTT,

Moon & I are back together again and we just got a chance to peek at the latest Breaking Dawn Part 2 stills. And today we’re ask “WHAT IS GOING ON HERE” which despite its fancy new name is basically the same as Breaking it Down, Vanity Fair Style…

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE Picture 1

UC:  I think this is the moment when God came down to Carlisle and made him attractive… for the first time since Twilight… he’s been annointed… look-  his head is glowing!
Moon: clearly the ice truck killer dude and the denali girls just got back from a european vacation a la national lampoons european vacation where they buy ridiculous italian leather outfits
UC: but then Edward is like “Wait a sec…. that’s my dad.. I’m supposed to be the hottest”
and also Bella is just trying hard not to fall over since she hasn’t eaten in 3 weeks
Moon: also i agree carlisle actually looks attractive again. for the first time since 2008. geez
UC: WAY too long to keep those good looks from us
Moon: OMG the shirt is knotted. I CANT
UC: NO it is!?
Moon: yes– look closely
UC: then if that’s the case they are all looking at the director saying “serious? knotted?”
Moon: and the sweater arms pulled down over the hands. another I CANT
UC: haha clearly you never lived somewhere cold
Moon: this is so party of five / felicity / WB teen drama– the “I’m so small and vulnerable and look this sweater is so big” STOP
UC: it really is cropped circa 1995 isn’t it
Moon: God is telling carlisle to tell them ALL to stop with those outfits
UC: thats it.. you figured it out!

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE Picture 2

Moon: omg i dont know if i can break things down now without mentioned the affair/Krupertgate
UC: I know. i can’t look at it without IMMEDIATELY thinking about it. Here’s a game. You HAVE to say 3 positive things about WHAT IS GOING ON HERE.
Moon: ok
UC: Her hair looks nice. It’s probably not real though
Moon: the red eyes dont look fake
UC: You’re right. And I like that color Blue
Moon: Yes she looks good in blue.. LIKE BELLA
UC: AWWWW BELLA
Moon: is that three?
UC: yes! PHEW! That was hard. NEXT

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE Picture 3

Moon: i just keep thinking about that picture of the fake Renesmee with the dog picture
UC: hahah really? (You mean this picture of course)
Moon: Well here I think Renesmee is showing Bella her plans for her and jakes future wedding… the dress she drew. also who sets out hillshire farm sausage and crackers for santa.???

(….. silence…)

Moon: Hello!??
UC: I’m sorry. I’m busy photoshopping a dog into that picture. THE dog. Except there’s a random hand on the dog. But I don’t care.

There. That’s better:

Hey Guys! Don’t forget me!

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE Picture 4

UC: Okay What’s going on here?
Moon: Nessie is feeling the baby in edwards stomach… he does have birthing hips after all. Also if this jacket wasn’t robs to begin with he stole it after. It is SO rob
UC: He’s actually probably giving her advice right there on how to steal clothes from the set
Moon: i think Summit saved a few bucks by letting the cast wear their own clothes
UC: she wants her jacket since it kinda matches her on set daddy’s
Moon: his first lesson in how to steal wardrobe is having her help him steal that jacket- shes moving her hand towards the zipper to help him hid it in her skirt
UC: yep. dream team Rob and MacKenzie
Moon: pickpockets. they’re gonna take their show to the subway next– try to get some wallets, some pocket change. Maybe some wurther’s….

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE Picture 5

Moon: i’m not gonna lie, i’ve been pretty sad recently thinking about twilight– and this makes me super duper sad
UC: awwwwwwwww
Moon: dont leave us smeyer!
UC: NEVERRRRRRR
Moon: we need to kidnap her and take her to griffith park and reenact this and our and our pocket edward video <— watch that again
UC: I feel like that’s what’s going on here… it’s a sign to us… “KIDNAP ME LTT GIRLS”
Moon: we’ll take you stephenie!!!! show up at one of our doorsteps and we’ll gladly kidnap you
UC: but it’s BYOPE– bring your own pocket edward
Moon: PS FBI who just put us on a watch list – we’re kidding!
UC: I’m gonna knock you over the head with our replica Cullen Crest
Moon: HAHAH– she wakes up and we’re all in matching bella’s birthday dresses from hot topic
UC: We’d be the best kidnappers– force her to drink Bella’s Blood (sangria)
Moon: ok i cant look at her face any longer  * waaaah *
UC: wahhhh

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE Picture 6

Moon: I bet the locket has a picture of rupert sanders. HAHAHAA. I’m the worst. And renesemee is very confused
UC: hahahahahahaha …. Yes–  what IS bella showing her? “and this is where daddy & mommy made you Nessie”
“made me? How did you make me?”
ps that child has great hair– maybe in the locket is a picture of what her hair might look like if she starts using products like DEP and Aussie spray in crunchie gel. Pictures to horrify her
Moon: It’s a picture of that “if they mated” photo of what rob and kristens child would look like or maybe one of the many, many manips out there of her and “daddy”

And so there you have it– Our thoughts on WHAT IS GOING ON HERE

Love,

UnintendedChoice and ThemoonisDown

*wahhhhhh* it’s not almost over is it!?

New Faces Fridays: Rami Malek- AKA HOTTIE MCHOTTIE

Dear Rami,

Dayyuuummm. (Sidenote: sometimes when I write things like “Hottie McHottie” and “Dayummmm” I realize how much I objectify men online. And think it’s okay because I don’t really do it (as much) in real life. But then I realize #thatsnormal and that’s NOT normal to question it. Back to today’s letter…)

The Twilight saga is the gift that keeps giving– we get a new hottie with EVERY MOVIE.

1. In Twilight there was Edward Cullen who won us over with his Ray-bans and amazing apple-catching skills

2. In New Moon there was The Entire Wolfpack (which, we have to confess, included Jacob Black who made us feel less icky about his age (was he legal then? I completely forget) by distracting us with his huge muscles.)

3. In Eclipse there was Riley who we really think died way too soon & we’d love to see him come back in a flashback scene or a new supernatural “Vamp Raised from the Dead” type of character so we can stare at him some more.. oh heyyyy.

4. In The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I we had….. well, since my main memories focus on lots of Edward & Bella sex, I’d have to say we have the return of hot Edward Cullen. Gone were the tweed jackets & wurthers in his pockets. No more Edward Cullen Insurance salesman. He even said good-bye to his hipster youth wearing Members-Only jackets & moved onto a more mature look. And we were okay with that!

5. And now with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II we have YOU– Benjamin. Coming at us with your  exotic looks– adding a little flavor to the cast of white boys and slightly tanner white boys. (But shout out to you other new hotties: Lee Pace, JD Pardo, and all the ones I’m going to get in trouble for forgetting (too tired to pull up imdb right now)

We got to chat with you, Rami Malek, for another round of “New Faces Fridays” a couple weeks ago. Sadly Moon didn’t get a chance to ask if you saw her waving at you when she ran into at her local Target at LA, so we’ll ask you here– DID YOU SEE MOON? She was the one with the paparazzi lens and a copy of the book “How to capture stars doing mundane daily tasks.” You should’ve said “hey!”

Today Twilight Moms is hosting this interview with Rami Malek, but we are previewing a few questions to get you PSYCHED. (We know you are):

Fansite interview with Rami Malek

Have you gotten to see any of your scenes on film yet- and if so what you thought  of the special effects?

“Great question I had an ADR* session, I’m sure you guys are familiar with that right?? (ADR stands for Automated Dialog Replacement)  So I got to see some of the temporary effects they weren’t quite done but as far as I was concerned they were good enough for me- they really looked brilliant-vibrant and felt very real- I was happy to see that because there were points that I was concerned about- I’m always concerned watching a movie- when something looks as if it was developed from a computer and you can see when it looks generated by a computer it really takes one out of the film so I was happy to see that it really just looks as if I was doing these in reality”

Stephenie has recently released the “The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide” which had a huge backstory between the Egyptian coven and I know we’ve already sampled a little bit of what we are going to see from you-did we get any of that feud with the Volturi history from you guys?

“Well after reading the novel I came to the conclusion that there was going to be a lot of work I had to do because there wasn’t that much said in her novel- so I came up with a lot of ideas and Angela who plays Tia came up with a lot of ideas and we shared them over the course of filming- and when we met Stephenie she was able to give us a real concrete backstory which wasn’t far off from the things that we had created on our own. It was a very special feeling to have that acknowledgement from her that we were on the right track with her story from things that we were coming up with from our own crazy imagination”

New Faces Friday: Tracey Heggins

Yep– I’ve been absent this week– with Moon still gone… I slipped into a deep beach coma with my family. I’ve done NOTHING. and it’s been amazing. But have no fear– here is your New Faces Fridays. Back next week with MOON to continue the LTT fun:

Interview with Tracey Heggins who plays Senna in Breaking Dawn Part 2

Read the entire interview over at Twilight Series Theories

Tracey: Hi! How are you guys?

Great!

Tracey: I am excited to talk to you guys!

Q: We just saw the posters of you and Zafrina. The other actors have talked about what they first thought when they saw themselves. What was your first reaction when you saw the hair and the make up, and the outfit and the eyes?

Tracey: Roar! (sound) That is exactly what I thought! Whoa! This has an earthy, sexy quality to it, so I was all for it. It’s very exciting!

Q: Speaking of what you look like… You are baring a lot in your outfit. I’m wondering if you had to diet or work out? What was your regiment?

Tracey: Yeah! I have to work out. I’m a hippy girl… I have hips and curves. Literally, when I had the fitting, I had a King Size Snicker bar in my purse. After I had seen the outfit, on my way out, I dropped it into the trash can.

(Laughing)

I was, like, Oh, no, no, no, no! But yeah, I do a lot of yoga. And, on set it was easy to be disciplined because Kellan Lutz is up there working out all day long, and the rest of them were fighting to get to the gym before shoot time. So, you know, it was a lot of camaraderie at the gym because we were all on camera.

Back to the beach!
