New Faces Friday: Noel Fisher

Dear LTT,

Noel Fisher & LTT go WAY back. All the way back to June 2012 when we talked for hours and hours at dinner in LA (welllll more like we said “hey” and he said “hey” and then we snapped this photo that we both happen to be in)

LTT and Noel Fisher

So we literally know like ZERO about him. And since LTT readers tend to follow in our footsteps (I mean we ARE all in this together, right?) we’re guessing you don’t know much about Noel either. So today Team Twilight is hosting the interview with Noel, but here’s a little sneak peak:

Fansite interview with Noel Fisher (Vladimir)

It’s been a really good year for you professionally, with playing a great character on Shameless, and then the role of Cotton Top on Hatfields & McCoys. What made you pick a 3000 year old grumpy vampire? Why did you want that role?

I actually booked Twilight before Shameless or Hatfields & McCoys, but obviously the Twilight franchise is in a world of its own, a class of its own. It’s really really different from anything else I’ve ever done. And that’s something that I try and do with my parts, kind of pick parts that are really different from one another and I’m also just a huge geek at heart, too. I love vampire stuff, I love fantasy/sci-fi, and all that kind of stuff so it’s right up my alley. That was another lucky thing. I get to play like a 3000 year old bad-ass vampire. That’s awesome!

You filmed Hatfields & McCoys in Romania and you played a Romanian vampire in Breaking Dawn. Did you feel a special bond with the country when you were there filming?

I don’t know, I basically thought it was a really funny coincidence that I was going there just a few months after Twilight wrapped. I thought that was quite funny. We shot near Vlad the Impaler’s actual castle, which isn’t really a castle anymore. It’s basically a bunch of rubble now, but some of the drivers in Romania were telling us that just a few miles from where we were was a pile of rubble that was actually Vlad the Impaler’s old spot. So I thought that was kind of cool.

Hop on over to Team Twilight to read the rest!

Love,

UC & Moon

New Faces Fridays: Rami Malek- AKA HOTTIE MCHOTTIE

Dear Rami,

Dayyuuummm. (Sidenote: sometimes when I write things like “Hottie McHottie” and “Dayummmm” I realize how much I objectify men online. And think it’s okay because I don’t really do it (as much) in real life. But then I realize #thatsnormal and that’s NOT normal to question it. Back to today’s letter…)

The Twilight saga is the gift that keeps giving– we get a new hottie with EVERY MOVIE.

1. In Twilight there was Edward Cullen who won us over with his Ray-bans and amazing apple-catching skills

2. In New Moon there was The Entire Wolfpack (which, we have to confess, included Jacob Black who made us feel less icky about his age (was he legal then? I completely forget) by distracting us with his huge muscles.)

3. In Eclipse there was Riley who we really think died way too soon & we’d love to see him come back in a flashback scene or a new supernatural “Vamp Raised from the Dead” type of character so we can stare at him some more.. oh heyyyy.

4. In The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I we had….. well, since my main memories focus on lots of Edward & Bella sex, I’d have to say we have the return of hot Edward Cullen. Gone were the tweed jackets & wurthers in his pockets. No more Edward Cullen Insurance salesman. He even said good-bye to his hipster youth wearing Members-Only jackets & moved onto a more mature look. And we were okay with that!

5. And now with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II we have YOU– Benjamin. Coming at us with your  exotic looks– adding a little flavor to the cast of white boys and slightly tanner white boys. (But shout out to you other new hotties: Lee Pace, JD Pardo, and all the ones I’m going to get in trouble for forgetting (too tired to pull up imdb right now)

We got to chat with you, Rami Malek, for another round of “New Faces Fridays” a couple weeks ago. Sadly Moon didn’t get a chance to ask if you saw her waving at you when she ran into at her local Target at LA, so we’ll ask you here– DID YOU SEE MOON? She was the one with the paparazzi lens and a copy of the book “How to capture stars doing mundane daily tasks.” You should’ve said “hey!”

Today Twilight Moms is hosting this interview with Rami Malek, but we are previewing a few questions to get you PSYCHED. (We know you are):

Fansite interview with Rami Malek

Have you gotten to see any of your scenes on film yet- and if so what you thought  of the special effects?

“Great question I had an ADR* session, I’m sure you guys are familiar with that right?? (ADR stands for Automated Dialog Replacement)  So I got to see some of the temporary effects they weren’t quite done but as far as I was concerned they were good enough for me- they really looked brilliant-vibrant and felt very real- I was happy to see that because there were points that I was concerned about- I’m always concerned watching a movie- when something looks as if it was developed from a computer and you can see when it looks generated by a computer it really takes one out of the film so I was happy to see that it really just looks as if I was doing these in reality”

Stephenie has recently released the “The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide” which had a huge backstory between the Egyptian coven and I know we’ve already sampled a little bit of what we are going to see from you-did we get any of that feud with the Volturi history from you guys?

“Well after reading the novel I came to the conclusion that there was going to be a lot of work I had to do because there wasn’t that much said in her novel- so I came up with a lot of ideas and Angela who plays Tia came up with a lot of ideas and we shared them over the course of filming- and when we met Stephenie she was able to give us a real concrete backstory which wasn’t far off from the things that we had created on our own. It was a very special feeling to have that acknowledgement from her that we were on the right track with her story from things that we were coming up with from our own crazy imagination”

Zoom on over in whichever wheels are most convenient for your lifestyle & read the entire interview over at Twilight Moms!

A sit down with Esme, Carlisle & Rosalie

Dear Twilight,

We got a chance to sit in on another round table interview with our fansite friends during Comic Con with Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser & Nikki Reed. We aren’t the “post transcripts of interviews” kinda-gals (partly b/c up until 5 minutes ago we were the red-headed stepchildren of Twilight and all our interviews were made up (Have no fear– we still are stepchildren. We just would rather be pink-haired if that’s cool with you)) and also because there are tons of fansites out there if you want to read interview with the cast. We’d rather share our commentary. We think it’s that important*

But today I have 1,000 things on my to-do list & MOON is leaving us AGAIN for Africa on Friday. She needs to stop going to Africa. For reals. Twilight needs her. So not much commentary to share.

But I DID discover that we’ve never shared fanart of Esme & Carlisle. Which I apologize for. Because this shizz is goodddddddddddd:

Renesmee: It’s happening whether we want it to or not

Dear Renesmee,

I feel like here on LTT we haven’t been fair to you. The only time we talk about you is when we’re posting the most creep-tastic images we’ve gathered of you and Jacob from across the web like this old favorite:

or this new epic find:

And what can we do BUT make fun of or be creeped out by the whole Jacob/Nessie story line after seeing these pictures? Nothing. And so we haven’t. For a long time (for all of time, actually).

But maybe we’re not being fair. Maybe we just have the inability to view your relationship like it should be viewed as this innocent big-brother-little-sister thing like shown here in this (fan made, I think?) picture:

because we’re old cynical women– kinda annoyed that you came into the picture just when it was getting steamy between your mom & your dad– but also because in real life the grown(growing)-man-little-girl relationship isn’t usually a positive one…. but what IS real life about Twilight? It’s a story about VAMPIRES and WOLVES and a Police Chief Grandpa who doesn’t question his daughter disappearing and reappearing less than 9 months later with a baby growing years-worth in mere days. Why do we judge YOUR character in real life terms when we don’t bat an eye at townspeople not questioning how a 20-something couple are raising 6 model-like teenagers?

I don’t know. But Renesmee seems to be happening whether we want it/her/you to or not. Evidenced by a sit down Moon got to partake in during Comic Con week with some other fan sites. And MacKenzie Foy (you, IN REAL LIFE!) is kinda adorable:

Peekaboo Moon in the back!

I guess we’ll try to deal. I said try. (And we’re pretty horrible at trying, fyi)

Love,
UC & Moon

What do you think? Concerned about how creeped out we’ve made you over the years over the Renesmee story-line? Wondering if Chris Hansen might be in your theater the first time you see Breaking Dawn Part 2?

Wanna hear what MacKenzie had to say? Wondering how many teeth she lost and which female Twilight star DEFINITELY had to contribute to her “Swear jar” (Easy guess) Full interview with MacKenzie after the jump!
