#RIPTwilight – Your Stories & an anniversary

Blow one out for LTT

Dear LTTers,

Happy Anniversary! Yes, today is our FOUR YEAR ANNIVERSARY. Four years ago today we decided to start writing Letters to a little Book/Film series called Twilight and my how the days have (not) flown. We’ve been sharing pictures and photos all week from you guys and what the last four years and Twilight has meant to you. I bet you were expecting something grand today, no? Weeeellll you know how on those years your birthday lands in the middle of the week or on a day you have to work, so you decide to celebrate later? Well, we’re going to do that. On Monday we’ll post our letters and stand around a virtual campfire and sings “Friends” while the embers fade.

Until then we’ll let you take it away…

How LTT kept us from becoming the dreaded lame soccer mom.

#RIPtwilight: LTT better than botox

Snowwhitedrifted: Like a good time machine, or a sparkly Vampire, LTT made me younger. It made me 21… forever. Wait. Am I thinking about shopping again? Anyway. Reading LTT and the comments introduced me to many new terms I hadn’t been familiar
with: FanFiction, The Shocker, Vampgasms, VILF, DILF, folkster, angsty mumblish, and my favorite, Jorts. I joined Twitter, I starting blogging with my LTT twin, East Coast Stacey. I discovered music that I fell in love with. How had I not heard of Sia pre Twi? These were all things that my circle of friends, mostly “new moms” just didn’t chat about. You guys filled my, “but I still feel edgy and snarky, where’s my outlet? I don’t want to discuss Pottery Barn Kids!” need. Anyway. So now it’s all coming to a close and I fear I will return to my true age. Will #RIPTwilight mean I have to turn back into a 38 year old? Say it isn’t so. I don’t wanna give up my Dead Weather downloads and Modcloth purchases. I don’t want a mom bob and a Christmas sweater. Please, #thatsNormal, keep me out of Chicos and away from the mini vans.

EC Stacey: Oh LTT/Twilight…you saved me from the crippling new mommy syndrome. Instead of morphing into a pastels and pearl wearing future soccer mom, I felt the power to continue wearing band tee shirts and have my babies not only listen to Bombay Bicycle Club (thanks Eclipse Soundtrack) instead of The Wiggles, but listen to my daughter tell her daddy, “Mommy loves Edward.” I am sure you can imagine that awkward conversation. Through LTT, I met so many wonderful new friends like Team Seth, TJE, RobsFuture Mate, my cosmic twin Snowwhitedrifted…to name only a few.

Not too mention, how cool is to meet one of your now closest friends over at LTT? Snowwhitedrifted and I are so alike it’s scary. We really need to update Talk Supe. Hmm…
SWD: We do, we do. I just started watching Once Upon a Time… that’s supe-y isn’t it? #tangent

EC: Moon and UC…thank you for the laughs, the fun and helping me rediscover my love of writing. I will be forever grateful!

SWD: Yes, Moon and UC, I truly enjoyed this time and helping out with the LTT store. It’s been such a blast to see the snark on garments.

Slovenia Exists

I remember meeting JellyBeanRainbow for the first time & when I asked her to repeat where she said she was from she told me, “Slovenia exists. It’s a real country.” I’ll never forget that. And when I tell people I have a friend in Slovenia & they give me that “What are you talking about” look, I repeat JBR’s words “Slovenia Exists.” I’m so glad it does because it brought us a great friend- one that, despite living across the world, I actually see more often than my college roommates….

Dear LTT/LTR headquarters,

this is my fourth try. It doesn’t matter how I start my letter, it ends as a thanksgiving letter. Because I am so so so thankful for Twilight and you, UC and Moon. I’m so glad I get to meet you in real life and get to know you a little. You are two of the nicest, warmest, smartest people I ever met and even if I think of you as

friends, I’m still a little starstruck in your presence.

It was probably a coincidence that I found this particular blog when researching everything Twilight and everything Rob, but I’m so glad I did. You literally changed my life. Through you I met so many interesting people, in real life and in comments section. Through you I kept being in touch with popular culture, whether it’s JustinBieber or Hunger Games or ComiCon or GingerSnaps. Because of you I opened many social media accounts and entered the modern age. I might have discovered Twilight books and movies by myself, but our not so little community made them so much fun.

And last but not least, I made real life friendships that will last forever ( insert Twilight font here).

Love, JellyBeanRainbow

We got her

Dear LTT,

I found Twilight late in the summer of 2008 after it being practically forced upon me by a friend. Like everyone else here on LTT, I was immediately fell under its spell. Hard. After reading each book in record time, causing my husband to become a bit frightened and a tad bit mad that I was “ignoring” him and the kids, I scoured the interwebs for more information. With the excitement of Twilight coming into movie form and Stephenie updating her site somewhat regularly, I was sated with new information. But after a while it wasn’t enough and I realized many fans were, well, kinda (read: holy freaking) crazy and I only had one RL friend who really “got it”. I wanted to interact with others who were so inexplicably and irrevocably in love with this story, but the commenter’s on many of the sites quite frightened me.

I believe it was the post I read on newmoonmovie.org that you had done with them speculating Kristen’s alleged baby bump in the summer of 2009 that brought me to you (or at least it was this post that had me loyally checking your site on a daily basis thenceforth). There were women who are hilariously funny and aren’t over-crazed (in a non-Normal way) and too serious about their deep love of Twilight were they flip out on one another if you don’t have the same opinion or “Team”? I wanted to hug you!!

By February 2010 while I was going stir crazy being cooped up in my house, recovering from a really bad accident, I finally broke down and commented for the first time coming out of my lurkedom status (it was a big thing to me, I mean, come on, commenting on a Twilight site? The stigma). But everyone here was really welcoming, even when I came on too strong with my excitement of commenting after a month of daily solitude and/or my comments/joke/sarcasm didn’t make sense due to my injuries and I was so glad I had. By April I’d written my first letter to you which, admittedly, I got total fangirly excited when you told me you were going to post it. I’ve since frequented LTT’s comments and done the occasional “guest post” letter. But from the moment I first commented, LTT had become more than just site I liked to check. It became a place where I could forget the horrible stuff I was going through with recovery and just laugh with women (and unicorns) who know what it’s like to have this love of this story, (few of whom have become real online friends and a couple of whom I almost actually met) and remained there for me for the next few years while my struggle continued. Sure, my husband was/is phenomenal and my kids too with all this recovery, but their support was different… with you guys I could escape it all and just laugh and forget about all the crap that was hard to deal with. Twilight and LTT has been my much needed sanity break these past few years

There are many things I could mention that I loved about the site or LTTs infamous terms, posts or jokes. Or how without Twilight, LTT and/or the people who frequent the site I wouldn’t have done/experienced/thought/found/known (fill in the blank)…. but that would take forever and only Edward has that kind of time. 🙂 Just know that even though this is THE END, there will still be times where I’ll smile or laugh to myself with my own little private joke I know no outsider would get; like when I get an iced coffee and notice I have a red straw and a clear cup and take a picture because it makes me laugh…

“Not Clear Rosalie”

when I go to the zoo and find the spider monkey exhibit hilarious…

“Hold on tight Spider Monkey!”

when I keep staring at the hostess at IHOP and it’s not because I want to be fake lesbians with her….

“Why am I covered in feathers?”

or when I giggle at and snap a picture a dog-lovers car bumper magnet…

“I wonder if this means they’re Team Jacob…?”

and I’ll think of you and know that you would smile or laugh too.

Thanks for all the much needed laughter and friendship,

Team Jacob Edward

Happy Anniversary Yall!
Moon & UC

PS Try to get that Friends song out of your head now… HAAHAHA!

My how far we've come...

Dear LTT-ers,

You may have figured it out (you’re quick… and there was a special post) but yesterday was our 3rd Anniversary Blogging about Twilight and Rob and their crazy fandom. I looked up what the traditional gift for the 3rd anniversary is and it’s leather… so sit back as UC and I sit on our butts in leather pants and talk about doing this thaaaang for three looooong (short!) years!

Music to listen to while reading

So long dear friends...

The one where we’ve lasted longer than Kim Kardashian’s Wedding!

UC
: Dude, Moon… 3 years. That’s a WHOLE LONG TIME. We’ve lasted longer than Kim Kardashian’s marriage and Charlie & Renee’s marriage
Moon: First off, I have you saying DUDE now. Took three years… second, we’ve lasted longer than any of jasper’s hairstyles. We lasted longer than
UC: Nikki Reed & Kristen Stewarts Fake Lesbian-ship
Buttcrack Santa’s Life- well, on-screen life
Moon: true. RIP or Harry Clearwater. RIP x2
UC: We’ve lasted longer than Swiftner (and we DO go back to December. December, 2008 that is) and Cathy Hardi’s relevancy
Moon: nothing will outlast her eternal cockblock of THE audition tape though. we’ll still be hearing about that when we’re 50
UC: Outlasted Jessica & Mike. And technically we’ve been blogging longer than Edward & Bella’s relationship– Much longer than Bella’s pregnancy
Moon: longer than bella was a student at forks high school
UC:  And longer than Ashley Green and any of her relationships. And let’s be honest.. we’re gonna outlast Nikki Reed & Whatshisname (sorry, Nikki)
Moon: OUCH!
UC: Longer than TammyO’s permission to comment on LTT
Moon: we’ll probably out last Robsten… you and i will at least. longer than the THE LIST summit keeps of the crazies
Moon: and longer than the list of death threats and “jealous hags” comments we’ve received. which is a lot
UC: Right- cuz like I said in my personal blog post yesterday.. we’ll be blogging as old Grannies someday
UC: Still tumbling about an old geezer Ryan Gosling. I’m Sure
UC: So yeah.. that’s a long time.

Moon
: i know when i meet friends/readers/haters in public i gets lots of questions about LTT/LTR
UC: “How do you live with yourself?” that’s my favorite
UC: “What’s your address so I can send Kristen’s security team after you?” I like that one 2nd best
Moon: why are you such a hateful hag? my other fave. They love the word “hag”
Moon: SOOOO think we should do our best Barbara Walters and interview each other?
UC: Yes- we’ll channel our inner & future Granny’s & Go Walters on each other
Moon: maybe make each other cry (from embarrassment)
UC: She interviews Bashar al-Assad– we DO each other
Moon: snaps for knowing who Bashar al-Assad is
UC: holllaaaa

Take out your party hats, it’s LTT’s 3rd Anniversary!

There are no videos in the post, so you can just mute your computer today! HOORAY!

Dear Unintendedchoice, Themoonisdown and LTTers,

Never trust a girl with crazy eyes, nor let her blog

I know what you must be thinking: who let Brookelockart get control of the blog? After deciding that I wanted to throw a surprise blog party, I spent the last two weeks cracking passwords (hint: has to do with Robsten, magicness and Bella’s birthday). So folks, spike your coffee and raise a glass to three fabulous years of laughter, tears and images that will never leave you (two words: Snail Penis).

As part of the anniversary surprise, I reached out to regulars and some old time friends who jumped at the chance to reminisce about our favorite LTT posts (I may have also promised some punch and pie.)

Please introduce yourselves and when did you start reading LTT/LTR?

Read_or_sleep: Summer 2009
Cazza: March 2009
PlaneFriend: Reading Since: About 5 seconds after this post. When I saw Stephenie was going to have fansites interview her, I decided to go looking at the fansites. All the others I just glanced at, read a page or two, and never went back to again. Within days, I was reading most of the LTT backlogs…realized I knew UC a few weeks later, started writing for y’all occasionally, and the rest in history.
Stacey: March 2010
LonestarKendall: March 2009
Rachel B, formerly GriffsSayWhat: Winter 2009
Alice_NaA  – Bella_NaA : A  long long time ago, when palatial pads and hot pocket fortresses where yet to be built, Summit was not to blame, TomStu still shaved, Bobbygee shared his wisdom, AmanDUH  was working her living room corners, the Pattinson pants were in style, and Oregano was not just an Italian herb.
superhumanmoron: January 2009
MrsKowski: I’ve been reading since March of 2009. The post that started it all for me was the “This is how you found us? Vol. 2”  it was linked on NewMoonMovie.org – my world has not been the same since I made the decision to click on that link.
Snowwhitedrifted: January 2010
Janetrigs: February 2009
Allryans: April 2009, actually since THIS post.
Operarose: August 2009
TeamSeth: September 16, 2009

Well, I guess this is what happens with an open ended question. For the record, I’ve been reading since March 2009.

We know that LTT gave laugh lines to Stephenie Meyer, what posts made you screen spray your drink while reading?

worse when it comes out your nose

PlaneFriend: I laughed so hard while reading this post that I flatout cried, no joke. I mean, Barbies in lingerie? Blacking out a Barbie’s girl parts? Flipping hilarious.
Stacey: This is an old one, but one of the first that I read that made me laugh so hard that it woke up the baby I was nursing at 2 A.M and made him start crying. So while that won’t help me win mother of the year, that post did bring some fun at actually being awake at 2 A.M.
Rachel B: I really loved seeing all the funny stuff people thought up for this contest, even though I was not creative enough to think of anything!  And, at the time the “imma let you finish” was ALL the rage!!
Bella_NaA: Oooh, the Imma-contest. Endless fun we had with that one. There were some really, REALLY good entries, including the one that Gil Birmingham ended up tweeting about!
Mrskowski: I think a memorable screen spray post was the “Ok …we gotta discuss it …it’s time” post – can you believe I’d never seen Last Tango in Paris before this post? …I could have probably answered this same question with any LTT Mailbag post or any My Twilight Confessions post as well – I die at all of them.
SWD: Breaking dawn Barbies
Janetrigs: The epic Calliope (@CalliopeBlabs) , UC and Moon Break Down of the New Moon trailer and we learned that Tweed is indeed Serious.
Operarose: Any of the posts with responses to letters LTT received from Twi fans who thought to the cast or Stephenie. I love the equal parts biting sarcasm, snark and sometimes sweetness involved in UC & Moon’s responses to the rather confused fans. Example

Cry Baby

Those certainly bring back lots of memories, also some inappropriate laughing at work. On the flip side, which post made you cry more than Eric Yorkie in New Moon?

Read_or_sleep: I have nothing coming up from memory.  Obviously I am a cruel, heartless person.
PlaneFriend: This post because I want to read a Leah sequel THAT badly. Truly, I have a ridiculous affinity for Leah. I want to get inside her head. I want to see her puke over the pedophile Jake-Nessie imprinting. I want her to fall for someone other than Sam!
Lonestarkendall: Just another example of how Twi brought us LTT/LTRs together across the country, supporting one another and making us laugh.
Alice_NaA: Don’t remember the exact post, but at the time of our twidiction high, every post reminding us that the twilight-period will come to an end, made us sad.
Bella_NaA: And now, every post that reminds us how LTT has become so much more than a funny blog about Twilight but also a place where we have made new friends!
SHM: I can’t think of one in particular.  Usually the ones that talk about all the friendships made through LTT.  And we all sing “Friends are Friends Forever”.
MrsKowski: it’s a toss up between “Twilight Moments that have shaped us” and about Leghitch2010
SWD: Well, this one was emotional for me, because I did the shirts. It’s AWESOME to see them on you all!!
Janetrigs: Freya describes how we all feel, in that LTR/LTT has brought us all together as friends.
Operarose: MidnightCyn’s story. Probably one of the most unforgettable stories I’ve ever read, anywhere, period. I was so inspired that Twilight helped distract her from a difficult time in her life.
TeamSeth: Same post as above.  This is one of the first posts I read, and I thought every Thursday was a tear jerker (due to post title). Luckily that wasn’t the case, but this will always be the most teardrops are fallin’ down my cheek post and same goes for its comments. But what makes it even more tear-jerker to look back on is that Cyndi DID go see New Moon, even though she didn’t think it was a possibility.

Two Years of Magicness on Letters to Twilight!

Can you feel the magicness?

Dear Beloved readers, friends and Twipeoples far and wide,

Come gather round, hop on our bearskin rug we bought especially for this occasional (trust us it’s a bitch to find one this large) and lets stoke up the fireplace. Someone fire up the microwave and pop a top on some Andre because TODAY IS OUR TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! Last year we each remembered what a year of LTT and LTR had meant to us. So this year we decided to remember all those special moments during our second year of reeking havoc in the Twidom.

Moment of Magicness #1
UC
: I had 2 cups of coffee this am
Moon: speaking of 2…. TWO YEARS, dude
UC: DUDE
Moon: 2 years!
UC: yes
Moon: the number 2….. 2 turtle doves
UC: ROBSTEN… it’s a sign
Moon: no. it’s not. but we can talk about our own fireplace moments like leg hitching with steph?
UC: oh yes- DUDE
Moon: Dude, why are you stealing my word?

Yup, we did this. UC is still in shock

I’m sure we can all agree that the biggest thing that happened to LTT and UC and me would be getting picked to interview Stephenie Meyer before the Eclipse premiere last June. BUUUTTT I would like to argue that perhaps an even bigger moment came when after jokingly I suggested we get an official leg hitch picture, Stephenie actually agreed and if we’re all being honest her I think she may have been a little excited about it, but don’t tell anyone! Honestly (this is a lot of honesty in this post already) I think UC and I are beyond grateful that we were chosen and got to meet the lady behind the saga and the ultimate reason we began this thing. She was super wonderful, nice and beautiful to boot. And really, talking about high schools where we grew up and lipstick with a best selling author just doesn’t happen every day. Unless you’re like Pancho or something and in that case he probably doesn’t want to hear about her lipstick. HIS LOSE!

Moment of Magicness #2
UC: Remember when you went to the Runaways premiere?
Moon: and I took a poster of a mullet? Yes, I do!

Me and some LA pals went to the premiere of the Runaways last spring to see what we could see: Kristen, Dakota, Joan, etc etc and we thought well we can’t show up empty handed so we brought this poster:

We may have gotten a few looks for the homeless dude on the corner waiting to see some girl-on-girl action but we knew Kristen would appreciate it. SEE! We don’t hate Kristen! Geez.

He’s like a Twi-Angel with a jewfro

Moment of Magicness #3
UC: big moment: seeing Larry411 in the airport
Moon: Awwww you and Larry!

After UC’s alarm clock malfuntion and missing her flight to LA for the Stephenie Meyer interview and being rebooked on another flight (thank God!) UC was greeted at her gate by a familar face. Not Rob (sadly) but almost as good, it was Larry411 Twilight tweeter and blogger extrodiaire and personal pet favorite of ours. Amidst the snot and tears and near heart attacks it was like the angels opened a portal from heaven and placed Larry411 at UC’s gate. Who else can be blamed credited for this miracle than God because why else would two big ol twihards be on the same plane together if it wasn’t for a little prayer being answered.

Moment of Magicness #4
Moon: How about jorts and ltt immortalized in the Eclipse DVD commentary
UC: haha

No really, this happened??!!!

Really, I mean there are no words. Just this last Saturday we both finally got to hear it with our own two ears after the Eclipse DVD finally came out and it was pretty awesome to say the least. I felt like a rockstar in my own house after Stephenie mentioned LTT and everyone started clapping and hollering for me. It was like an 80s movie slow clap. Maybe I should have jumped up on the bar and gave a small speech something like this:

Oh my gosh, you guys! I mean it was a honor to even be nominated… I mean write this blog let alone take a term like jorts and make it popular amongst the Twi crowd. I’m so sad UC couldn’t be here but she’s currently in Baton Rouge being a stand in for BooBoo but we’d both like to thank God and WordPress and our poor poor families for putting up with us and the makers of Andre.

Moment of Magicness #5
UC: Another moment: our big party in LA at your house
Moon: awwwww that was a whole lotta magicness
UC: that moment when, perhaps I had one too many sips of “Bella’s Blood” that Mr. Choice made me, but I looked around & realized “Whoa… there are people here who wouldn’t be here were it not for LTT….” people who would have never talked- maybe woudln’t have anything in common…. and got a little sappy when we ran to your bedroom to put prizees together for our LTT-trivia game! right after Obird sang us opera in your bedroom!

Woah!

You know, just 40+ of your closest friends seeing Eclipse together!

Moment of Magicness #6
Moon: What about seeing eclipse with like 45 people?!
UC: yes- you telling me where you put all the tickets you bought, just in case you died before the movie
Moon: cause THATS IMPORTANT and normal!
Moon: i still wanted people to see eclipse even if i died… and maybe yell out my name at the leg hitch in memoriam
UC: hahahahahahahaha
Moon: RIP

Moment of Magicness #7
UC: the first thing Stephenie saying to us “I read LTT every day, I’m more nervous to meet you than you are to meet me”

The exact moment (or not)

Yea, that was like crushing on that cute guy in your homeroom for like 6 months and then finally one night at a football game he comes over to where you’re sitting and asks if you and your girls want to get slices (or tacos in my case) with him and his boys after. UM, HALE YES?!

Marry me Jackson… I mean…

Moment of Magicness #8
Moon: what about you interviewing Jacky in Philadephia for Moviefone and being called the SUPERFAN!!!

What else can be said for UC standing in the middle of a busy outdoor venue in Philly to take part in Moviefone’s Eclipse fan events all over the country?! She represented by asking Jackson what was up with all those heinous wigs and since Jasper has different hair in every movie would BD Jasper have a red mullet? Oh yes. She did.

Moment of Magicness #9
UC:  dude we had a HUGE YEAR wtf?
Moon: dude our JUNE was HUGE!! Part 1 and Part Two!
Moon: June was out of control! Switching from WordPress.com to our self hosted sites (finally!), all the Steph stuff, you interviewing Jackson, Eclipse Con, the premiere and what about the video we made about kstews fashion for VH1 that never hit the airwaves?!
UC: yes! which would have been hilarious!
Moon: remember the Popsicle sticks with ratings we madeL “Stew-pid” and “Stew-pendous?” AH! Sad the world was deprived of that. And what about us being interviewed by that Philly tv channel on Eclipse premiere day?
UC: At 6AM, in our PJ pants.

This will open in a new window since they don’t have embeds. LAME.

Moon: I’m pretty sure my roommates may have thought we were insane getting all twilsophical at 6am LOUDLY. I also like that the interview made it look like I’m a mute (far from it) because they edited out the end when I said some stuff. Thanks UC!

Talk about a Happy Birthday!

Moment of Magicness #10 & 11
Moon: Oh and we can’t forget the epicness of your birthday greetings! Who knew that people would remember your story about clutching a loaf of bread while drunk on a toliet? One of my favorite posts to put together cause our readers are SO creative and remember everything!
UC: YES, that was the best
Moon: that also makes me think of the “While You Were Away” posts on LTT and LTR you and readers put together for me while I was away in Kenya this summer. We had talked about what would happen if some big news or event happened while I was gone and how we’d deal And I was worried about being behind when I got back but you had it covered!
UC: awww this makes me miss you. i wish we were in front of a real fireplace remembering right now!
Moon: With the sounds of Robsten on commentary in the background, cause they have the true magicness but I guess we’ll have to settle for IM since that’s how we’ve made this work for the last 2 years, why mess up a good thing?

What a year! Who knows what year THREE will bring us! We can’t wait!

A personal note:
I always feel inadequate when I’m tasked to describe our blogs and the people who frequent them because it’s easy for the outside world, “civilians” to generalize what they think a “Twilight Fan” is when we all know that there’s so much more to it. We’re not all tweens, we’re not all crazy Twimoms on Oprah, and we’re not all cat ladies. Sure there are those among us but they just make this a lot more fun (and embarrassing!). I always want to tell the people who ask that you’re all so much more and not only are you fantastic readers but many of you are fantastic FRIENDS! Seriously, some of your are some of my closest friends. I guess loving these sparkly vampires brings people together. I used to always tells my friends in high school that liking NSYNC brings people together and it’s the same thing with Twilight. Liking Twilight has been the catalyst for so many friendships, you find out someone else likes it then a whole world opens up and you find common ground and it becomes so much more than Twilight. I just want to thank YOU for being so much more to us that you can ever imagine.

And to UC I can’t  put into words our partnership (though we tried last year at this time) or how much this whole thing has meant to me but you mean the world to me! Shall we do another year? I’m in it if you are!

Super Special Thanks the LTT/LTR Family: our forum mods (past and present) you keep that place rolling and have built an amazing community. The Font and White Yorkie for podcasting with us and providing a very hilarious male point of view, for talking us off ledges, making fun of us and braving this thing. Stacey, our shop designer who kills it with the merch and keeps us all looking less 2nd hand embarrassed. EVERYONE who has ever contributed a guest post and saved our butts more than a few late nights! We truly couldn’t do it without you all!

Thank you all for reading over the past two years, for hanging in there when you didn’t agree, for being happy with us when exciting things happen, for having our backs and for just being you.

Love and other goopy things!

Twilosophy: Special Twilight dates – Should we care?

(Sit back and throw on your tweed and serious glasses as I try to be non-controversial and talk some Twilosophy)

Dear LTT-ers,

Did you know a week ago Monday was Bella’s birthday? And did you have Edward and Bella’s Anniversary marked down on your calendar for August 13th??? And what about the Newton’s Anniversary? And maybe even the day Jacob phased for the first time? Did you celebrate those days or do you even know them? Nope. I sure don’t. So does this make me a “bad” fangirl?

Can't believe this exists. Click to enlarge for maximum speechlessness

I mean sure, we love Edward and Bella. Obviously, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them. We cheered for them when they finally got up the nerve to “be friends.” We gasped and felt 2nd hand butterflies for them when they finally got together. We felt those first love jitters right along with the blessed couple. We even cried when they broke up (be honest!) and we cheered when they got back together (FINALLY 379 pages later!). We jumped up and down when Bella finally gave in and accepted Edward’s proposal. We maybe misted a little when they got married in the Cullen backyard and we definitely sighed a lot during the Isle Esme honeymoon. And who doesn’t remember Bella’s issues with turning 18? Yea, psychotic, I know.

But is it necessary as fans of the books to celebrate their anniversary/birthday/whatever every year? I was just cruising around the interwebs trying to catch up on what’s been happening in the Twidom and I found out that we missed both Bella’s birthday AND Edward and Bella’s Anniversary (GASP! The HORROR!) which is according to come elephant-brained readers made August 13th 2006 their 4 year anniversary. Which means they got married the same year as my brother and sister-in-law and now I will never forget the year and now I can never forgive myself for knowing such trivia. Twilight Bar Trivia Night here I come!

You get this because the Bella/Edward anniversary pics from google are TOO embarassing

So if people post stuff about character birthdays and wedding anniversaries, who are we to judge but what do you get the couple who has everything? 4th year gift is something like paper… and that’s a lame gift.

Do you think Stephenie Meyer herself even remembers the date she gave Bella for her birthday or the date Edward and Bella got married? Maybe… but I bet she remembers the exact date she had “THE DREAM” cause I’m sure it’s like UC and I remembering the day we started these blogs. I’ll always think about LTT and LTR on December 8th every year probably for the rest of my life especially when I tell my grandchildren about that thing called a “blog” I used to write, cause “I’m down with the kids.” DUH! So I guess that’s what it is. It’s about remembering what’s important and special to you. Regardless of how inconsequential it may seem. Remember those special days in your life and pay homage to them because they matter. I guess I should do a little research and see when Buttcrack Santa died so we can host an official memorial every year plus a moment of silence to honor him. RIP. See what I did right there? A good ol BCS reference, haven’t seen one of those in a while, have ya?

March 15th, 1986 (the day Mike Newton was conceived. Duh)

PS See, I can be non-controversial when I want to be! Someone give me a Twilight Conversation Heart, forget the cookie.

What days are special to you? Any have a Twilight reference. Also, come clean do you know any of the Twilight special dates like Bella’s birthday? BE HONEST!

Our internet game is ridiculous: LTR, The Forum, Twitter, The Store
